And it's only understandable that the anime wouldn't have as much time to explain everything. Side stories are often cut and only the main quest is focused on. The light novel goes into more detail about both their parents, naturally.
The guy showed the prince all the injured people and told him it was Pacifica's fault but really it was the peacemakers fault. So the prince will probably try to kill her for the good of his kingdom...
Japanese is one of those lovely languages that usually as three or four terms for one english term. What he said might mean more than just 'shut up', but shut up is the closest and easiest way of translating it. That's my guess, anyway.
Well, it's not like there is only one way to tell someone to stop talking in English, either. For exampled, you could say "stop talking," "be quiet," "can it"....the list goes on.
