The Battle's O'er is a totally different tune from the The Green Hills of Tyrol but they are often played together. I've no idea how you can waltz to Scotland the Brave given that it has 4 beats in the bar. The Ball was in Kirriemuir not Kerrie Muir. Keep reciting the Gaelic though.
The Battles O'wer Also known as The Green Hills of Tyrol. Why not play that...I've done the Gay Gordon's to Amazing Grace, waltzed to Scotland The Brave, and even sung "the Ball oif Kerrie Muir" Canna mind if it was a wedding or a funeral, but then in the highlands the only difference is one less drunk at the funeral. A wedding in my day went on for a week or so, some until thier children were on the train for Edinburgh and the univertsity. Go mbeannaí Dia duit. (Translation= May God Bless you)
My fiance' is i am proud to say scottish. It is my plan to arrange piper/s for her when our day comes. Although english myself, the sound of those pipes gives me goosebumps and i know how much it would mean to her. Great post.

Congratulate Becky and Brett :-) .... But Battle's O'er is a retrete... Maybe it should signal what the poor Lad is heading toward ;-))
But very well Piping, and Posting :-)

the 1st tune is called "Battle's O'er". Maybe "the battle just begun" would be more appropriate.
