Il film in italiano lo mandarono in onda su TMC ( Telemontecarlo per gli Italiani. :) ) nel 1996 e qualche anno fa sul satellite. Poi non l'ho visto più. Il dvd esiste. :)

I like its faithfulness to the novel, and music too, it sounds so spanish. Is Gina's singing really hers?

anyway i'm glad that they kept the bit of the novel where Frollo talks about gold

but they could have done the bit on the printing press could they not?

@HugosNotreDame Yah except in the Disney version he had an innocence to him that made him cute!

He wasn't even really ugly in the Disney Version. Have no idea why, he was just disfigured, but they made him look too cute in the Disney Version, and he was nicer in the Disney version!

Purtroppo il film è vecchio e può non essere stato digitalizzato. Io l'ho visto qualche anno fa in una specie di cineclub, ma loro avevano la versione su pellicola.

beautiful and remarcable version of all the movies done with the subject of notre-dame de paris! excellent! lollobrigida is estinishing beautiful and athony quinn is absolutely heart breaking!

you have a point, esmeralda is only about 16 years old in the book, which makes her tragedy more terrible. gina is beautiful enough, but she should had played the character when she was 18 or so. the 1923 actress played her young and innocent. anthony quinn is really not that scary either. but the frollo character, except for his having a full head of hair, is dead on!

he has a great voice!

Hmm... I don't like this Esmeralda much. She is too "in control" if you know what I mean. In the book she is pretty innocent and sweet not to mention extremely gulliable. She left because she took fright of Quasi.
