Why do my favorite characters ALWAYS die? In EVERYTHING I watch, no matter what. my favorite character either dies... or gets 2 minutes of screen time. Hotshot and Bumblebee are two totally different transformers. Bumblebee was the original in the G1 series. Hotshot only came around for Armada, Energon, & Cybertron series. Personally, I liked Bumblebee better. But that's just my opinion.
