the logical choice is atheism. i consider agnosticism just a softer form of atheism.
Every religion that promotes a supreme being is promoting the same supreme being as the others. This does not equate Muhammed, Joseph Smith, Ra, Jesus, Thor, etc. Also, this still constitutes monotheism, i.e. one Supreme Being. Lesser "gods" are inconsequential.
I think that the human brain is powerful enough that everyone will go to their own version of heaven and think that everyone else is burning in hell. That's what works whilst we're alive, and I'm betting it will stay the same afterwards.
It is interesting that anyone would follow a religion that will allow such a small proportion of its followers into heaven. I know it feels good to be elite, but is God really that unkind that only a few are given the gift even after trying their entire life? -Killing people out of war is forbidden.
-Commiting suicide is forbidden.
-Regardless of the religion or belief, threatining people is forbidden.

I'm an indepentent protestant, but i don't believe that if you aren't a christian then you'll go to hell. if you ask me, i think that god will allow all kind, generous people into heaven, despite their religion. it shouldn't matter the religion, it should only matter how good a person is in their lifetime.

KNrockin, that's actually closer to what Jesus preached (see Matthew 25:31-46 [end of chapter], in which He describes IN DETAIL the Final "Great White Throne" Judgment, and says EXACTLY who will, and who will NOT, be saved, and WHY!).
Mainstream "Christianity" (Catholicism and most Protestantism) these days should more properly be called "Paulianity" because they follow (a misinterpretation of) the teachings of Paul more than Jesus.
They were specifically warned about this: II Peter 3:15-16.

Jews- do not believe in a heaven only a closeness with God in the after life
Islams- believe that people only go to hell for short period of time according to their punishment
Mormons- believe that they will be a God and hell state of mind so no hell for them
Christians- those who accept Jesus as Lord and savior. all others hell

Personally, I believe NOTHING happens when you die. Nothingness, like an unsensed sleep that lasts for no time & all time.

You're right. I'm sorry for saying it like that. I too believe in God, but I believe I dont have to be part of a cult/sect/religion to be more in his favor etc.
I understand religion is good in that it gives people something to look forward to as faras the afterlife and other stuff, but at the same time it's very manipulative and keeps the masses, somewhat ignorant.

well done! this was the exact reasoning i followed as a young child that led me to believe that all world religions were likely false, and that the true god, if he does exist, likely does not resemble any of the man-made ones.
the logical choice is atheism. i consider agnosticism just a softer form of atheism.

Every religion that promotes a supreme being is promoting the same supreme being as the others. This does not equate Muhammed, Joseph Smith, Ra, Jesus, Thor, etc. Also, this still constitutes monotheism, i.e. one Supreme Being. Lesser "gods" are inconsequential.

I think that the human brain is powerful enough that everyone will go to their own version of heaven and think that everyone else is burning in hell. That's what works whilst we're alive, and I'm betting it will stay the same afterwards.

It is interesting that anyone would follow a religion that will allow such a small proportion of its followers into heaven. I know it feels good to be elite, but is God really that unkind that only a few are given the gift even after trying their entire life? I'm not degrading anyone or any religion, I really don't understand how people can think so little of others, especially since we are all supposed to be made in God's image.

This is interesting. But even if one of the religions are correct, not all will go to heaven. Eg, i believe Islam is the true religion but not all muslims will go to heaven. Also, children (whether muslim or not) go to heaven without questioning.

There is no Heaven its only a man made fantasy so that he believe there will be immortality to his own life. but its just stupid there is no life before life why would there be life after life. The universe shows us that things are born and thing die all the time.
