  • Awesome, thanks for the tutorials dude!

  • Your studio and You Tube Video's are the best. Thank you for helping me get an A in my flash class. YA ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what software is that?

  • What if we have a tablet and are inputting the text by hand? Is there an easier way?

  • thank you so much

  • I figured it out, alankarmisra, is right, masks is a better way to go. The use of the eraser-tool makes the flash weight alot more, I did the same thing with mask and instead of 890 kb I got 65kb witch is alot more apreciated when actually using on a webpage.

  • Very informative and easy to follow, for that I thank you. But the swf file wighs 800kb when I did this on a plain simple colour, no images involved, why is this?

  • need istaller ?? just Copy/Paste lick below and then erase the space between the (A and the dot) .....!!

  • @LilredheadComics Neat video - although I wouldn't encourage the use of frame rates to write faster or slower! It's probably a better idea to stick to the frame rate of the target medium and adjust the frames instead. Quick question though - wouldn't the use of masks be a better idea generally speaking? Personally I think so but I haven't really worked with a lot of write-on text animations so wondering what your opinion is.

  • Thanks a lot man. It was really helpful =)

  • is it just me or does he sound like mark zuckerberg?

  • you rock thanks btw here is a joke

    go to ( 3:17 ) xD

  • i was about to over comlicate this with maskes and stuff lol when you said just break apart and erase one question though did you have your frame rate at 50 just for example or was there another reason to have it higher than 30

  • wow.. brilliant brilliant brilliant. this is really helpful. thank you very much for sharing this.

  • thanks man, thats really cool!

  • Nice video...thank you...nonetheless I have a problem...when I'm trying to erase the letters, the missing part reappears when I leave the mouse click. I tried to write a word with the brush and the eraser works fine. The problem occurs only with the text...

  • @talaleshki wich is why this is a tutorial

  • thanks for the tutorial man ^^ thanks

  • Can I make this on transparent background? Btw, tutorial is fantastic!

  • I've seen lots of tutorials, but these are by far the best. And I mean it.

    Really thanks.

  • how can i erase a text in Adobe Flash using the eraser tool since it comes back to the original text always?

  • ooh, very nice

  • Thank you, this was very effective for my project!

  • english..... dude..

  • this is so THE worong way, you should use masks, not delete chunks backwards..

  • @MikeFokkens As long as its getting the job done... hey, where's your tutorial for it? :(

  • @AnaydenaStudios I would make one, If I wanted all the crappy videocapturesoftware on my computer. but since I dont wont that shit, there will never be one :)

  • @MikeFokkens Sure, i've seen all kinds of ways people have recorded on their desktops. All I'm saying is your criticizing a video, and you don't even have a video to show the "right way". Just thank the man for taking time to show a tut to a bunch of noobs cause he's helping people out, and apparently you arent...

  • @AnaydenaStudios I understand what you're saying, but don't you agree this with me:

In my uppinion it's better to "don't learn" it than learning it the complete wrong way, because this will work in innocent things like this, but with much bigger projects it'll give huge problems, leaving nothing else than to start all over again!

  • @MikeFokkens uppinion??? :P

  • @1StarLuigi opinion then.. fuck you, I'm not even englash so don't you start flaming for fucks sakes.

  • @MikeFokkens calm down... :|

  • 3:20 Hell !!

  • OK this went good, but I want to stop the cycle once its done! But it keeps carrying on. I just want to carry it on once.

  • Very good tutorial, thanks!

  • thanks this is exactly what i was looking for. thumbs up

  • useful**

  • Thank you man ! This is very helpful .

  • thx, nice tut

  • thanks!!!! subscribed!!!!

  • Cooool

  • Excellent Tutorial .. easy to follow and fun to achieve, Just what I was Looking for Thank you !!!!!

  • very interesting and helpful thank a million

  • grate one

  • why take the long step just do it in after effects much easy and faster

  • Wow thanks for this! Its very helpful! Thanks!

  • It would be a lot easier (as you dont have to think backwardly) to leave the text as it is, create a Mask layer and then do the effect by drawing over the text with the paintbrush/pencil tool so only the drawn section will be revealed

  • What if I have the color background? How do I avoid when it also erase my background.

    Thank you

  • @Tfreetime put it at different layer

  • @Tfreetime You need to use layers. If you have a background, put that on the bottom layer, then put your text on the layer above that. If you lock the background layer it'll be just as you intended it to be.

  • @Tfreetime create a new layer and put the background on one layer and the text on the other. Then lock the background layer and follow the tutorial

  • THANK YOU!

  • Thank you again!!

  • lol on one part it says hell

  • what font is it that he uses in the tutorial????

  • @djyips10 Monotype Corsiva

  • @djyips10 He uses the "Monotype Corsiva" font.

  • awesome thank youooooooooooo !!! woot woot

  • Nice! Thanks You for your time.

  • thx for that, it helps very much

  • very cool =)

  • Great tutorials man your my sensei lol

  • So freaking cool ! 5/5

  • thank you so much!!

hope you get a lot of views.rates or subs!!!!

  • THANKS...this was exactly what i was looking for!

  • Thank you for this clip.

  • Your a GENIUS!!! I was trying to figure out how to make a tree look like it was growing and I tried almost everything. This technique will work perfectly for my idea! I could kiss you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

    I wish you much success.

  • I have a question but it is about something a little different, I watched your tutorial on tweening a while ago, but I need to know know if it is possible to combine motion and shape tweening. I know you cannot use a symbol for shape tweening and that is what gets me. Example of the type of thing I want to do would be "a car driving towards you or away from you, while keeping the animation of the car itself, like the wheels spinning while getting bigger or smaller" I am really confused.

  • @GrandDewalt if you convert it into a movieclip you can then apply the motion tween

  • I don't suppose anyone knows how I can export my flash animations and not end up with this 4GB file. It is ridiculous and just shattered my dreams of making an anime with Flash, my animation only goes on for 1 minute and 51 secs, and it got that big after exporting as AVI, and I dont have the option of exporting as WMV, SWF files don't work either, how am I going to get this stuff on Youtube if the file is too big, or wrong format and won't convert properly?

  • @GrandDewalt , you could cheat, by downloadin a quick program that records your screen and what your doing. then play the animation? maybe try that if ur just trying to put them on youtube.

  • life saver!

  • Thanks!!! I'm doing my assignment now and I just need this effective! (Y)

  • 1300 viewer yeah..seriously though, thanks!

  • can you use a tablet for this?

  • yeah deffinetely? lol

  • kk thnx :D

  • i also realize this be done with typing. i had no idea about the reverse frames. this is great. thanks!

  • whene i save the fps aint the same as whene i prewiu, whene iv saved it its much slower. help? :)

  • ty man but i cant figre out how to download adobe flash player 8/9/10

  • that's helpful, thanks!

  • Shame that Flash don't have features like AE for vectors.. for example to animate a stroke on a vector line... so you can unmask the letters..

  • 3:09 hell

my roflcopter just got SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI

  • You can accomplish the same thing left-to-right using a mask layer, yes? That would have been my approach, saves the whole reverse-order issue.

    Effective, nevertheless. Thanx for posting.

  • I made my videos by watching your tutorials

  • Finally! I was wondering how to do this. Thanks

  • thanx Hell 3:09
