Here's a word of advice, DO NOT use a sweet potato either no matter how moisturizing people say it is. Maybe I'll try using baby food in a jar the next time. Can't get no mushier than that :)

  • Man!!!! The same thing happens to me I was highly upset.. I spent house picking out dried bananas out my hair hahaha tragic moment of transitioning

  • LOL....lawd!

  • I love the DIY conditioner. Avocado, honey, olive oil and a pinch of water. In the blender they go. I learned the hard way the importance of blending very well lol. My hair was sooo soft and shiny.

  • Lmbao...girrl I wish I would have seen this video yesterday because my ass made a damn banana deep conditioner with yogurt and honey that I also didn't put in a blender and had chunks all in my hair as well...so don't feel bad girl, lol.

  • Let me tell you....I've watched this video THREE TIMES!!!!!!! The first time I saw it, I was crying!!! Girl the tears were streaming down my face!!! I needed that laugh that day. It was funny because I did the SAME thing!! Chunks everywhere. I had to use a fine tooth comb to get it out!!! Thanks for keeping it real. I now all of you gurus are not perfect. It's trial and error for everyone. Love ya and thanks for the laugh.......

  • I have not laughed like this in a LOOONG time. sorry it happened but thank you for posting this.

  • I tried this today and used a mixer and then put it all through a strainer. It looked and felt smooth but rinced and had tiny little pieces of avacado. Then i was like, But Sug! I blame you for this mess! But then I used the high pressure shower attachment and got all the avacado out. The tub was full of avacado then. But my hair is really soft!

  • That has happened to me, so I thank you for posting this cautionary tale for others!

  • Bahahahahaha! Sug you are too much! My boyfriend is looking at me like what's so funny? Lol

  • Lmao at u cursing... Never heard u curse do I know u were mad.... U are too funny!!!

  • "my hair looks like it's been living on the streets" !!! lol!

  • Oh my gosh I am not in a place where I can laugh out loud but this is sooooo funny (getting a headache from snickering under my breath). I hate to laugh at your hair misfortune but I feel like I have been in a similar situation. It was only a matter of time before some epic fail had you to cursing it out. I'm not mad at it.

  • You should try baby food because that stuff is blended just right!!!

  • Sug, Yeap, that was an epic fail...sorry. I did the same thin (but without the banana) about 2 years ago. I took a wide tooth comb and hours combing out bits and chunks of avocado,,, and yes, you are right. I just wanted to cut it all off. Anyway, the next time I did it, I put the avocado and other ingredients in the blender and put it on liquify until it was fluid (NO CHUNKS), then I pored it in my hands and slather it on my hair... Better luck next time :-)

  • I ended up using ice cold water then gave up and went to bed like a bananahead.

  • Sug did the same thing last year, once with banana and avocado and another time with eggs ......these recipes need disclaimers 'cause folks r suffering out here, for real sug......for real! :o

  • lmfao! I found you through Selima77. I would take a wide toothed comb and start combing ha! <3 Subscribed.

  • But Sug, you barely just got yo' voice back and you doing all that throat threatening stuff! Where's Karmbaby? She would've washed it out! Too funny!

  • hey girl! your black backdrop is JUST fine and I love all you do...

from the how-to's to the do-not-do's luvya!

  • Why did the same thing happen to me minus the bananas lmao I kept asking my son is it out did I miss any lol plus the chunks turned a nasty brown smh wish I was on top of the videos like I usually am cause this could've been avoided instead of a repeat lol

  • all avocado goes on my sandwich with a dash of salt. all.

  • i did the same thing a few weeks ago. i washed it twice then put mini twists in

  • lmao girl the same thing happened to me... I feel for you!

  • Well at least ur hair turned out soft and moisturized. I did that same thing and my hair wasn't moisturized at all and it took forever and a day to get the chunks out :-/

  • I've had banana in my hair, smh it was terrible. I was a new natural, all i could do was cry. I though t I was gonna have to cut my hair off. lol

  • Child you are too much. LMBO. You have gone from bees to bananas. I can always count on you for a good laugh. Thank you.

  • @lencia555 HA! What you see is what you get...smh.

  • But Sug, I didn't know you cussed like that! LMAO!

  • @NewNatural30 You'd be surprised. :D

  • I don't mean to laugh about your situation, but you are too funny......

  • ROTLMAO...... sorry for laughing, but I did this like a year ago. that stuuf HAS to be chopped and mushed to a cream type texture to get out....and bananas smell like throw up once dry smh 0_o

  • "Charness" LOL! You crack me up!

  • Omg I did this before. it took me a whole week to get that out of my head, my hubby was like babe do you know that you have liver mush chunks in your hair.It smells good and all but that don't look good. o_O and Im like You think!!!!!! lolz

  • she went ahead and baked all tht stuff in her hair #stiches

  • OMG I did the same thing to me and my daughter, niece hair. It took me two to three days to get that stuff out of our hair. But I must say that it was a great conditoner. I realize now three months later that you must blend the Avocado and Bananas and maybe even strain it before putting it in your hair.

  • Awww!!!! Poor lady bug bowl.... :( Lawd...I am really starting to believe that Ms. Tiny is indeed a stalker, LOL!!! Bless your heart....Thank God you got it out, whew!!

  • I feel you, I did a Avocado mask a few months ago and used Apple Cider to get it out.

  • I'm sorry but that was so funny!! Love it! I'm going to your blog now!! LMBO

  • Sug, you fistna have us walkin round looking like bannana avocado salads, rofl!

  • Sorry but lmfao

    Ahahah?!! U r a diva

  • @Whoissugar im shocked @ you never heard u cuss before... Lol poor baby, well your still pretty and i know the nanners are out :) man i hate on your hair every time i see you, i hope my lovely naps grow to be as pretty as yours but ya know it has to suit me ... I cnt stay on topic to save my life

  • love the opening graphic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was akin to watching a horror movie. I was screaming at the computer like it would make a difference. I saw that masher and it was like, "Girl, don't do it, don't open that door!!!!!" LOL

  • @imacdiva hahahahahahaha!!!

  • i did the avacado thing too and OMG!!!!! same thing happened to me....LMAO! i know it was a tragedy for you girl but i couldn't stop laughing at you....lmao! you are so funny. when it happened to me i didnt find it funny at all though...lmao!

  • This is the funniest s**t. I will stick to the pre made stuff.

  • OMG SUG you have to use a blender with avocadoes lol but I AM SO sure that we are not the only two that did this the first time

  • your hair = my inspiration... i wear my hair like BIG at college now :) i was a wet n wavy gelled up type chick. LOL

  • how to deratchet....love it

  • too funny i did this with the bananas and cried lol i ended up shampooing it lol

  • That was so funny! I actually I use the banana avocado conditioner quite often. Of course, I made sure I remove all the pith from the banana and I blend the heck out of the stuff until it's a smooth liquid. Sorry it took 12 hours to get out. Cheap conditioner (like V05) works in giving you enough slip to get chunks out of our hair..

  • I am crying and laughing and dying...all at once! I have to watch this AGAIN!

  • OMG!!! I am dying over here once you said I am so upset I am DIZZY that was it. It was a wrap I was laughing non stop. Your facial expression was classic. I'm glad you got it out Sug. Thanks for sharing :o)

  • lol..first time i did it the same thing happened to me. i'll do it again w/ baby food, but never again with avocado

  • Girl I did the same thing...and yes BABY FOOD BANANAS is what you have to use!

  • Ok sorry for laughing but I see I wasn't the only one. Glad you were able to get that mess out of your hair.

  • whooooo chile! LMBOOOOFFFF!!!

  • The omen: Fried ladybug bowl lol

  • Hilarious! Beautiful fingernails..I wish mine grew like that. Thnx for the vid.

  • Can't stop laughing baahaaa im sorry keep them coming love the video's

  • Oh Lord, I'm cracking up from the *bleeps* you put in! The bleeping made it even funnier!

  • I think I'm gonna do it again, but I'm gonna have to refine the technique, lol

  • OMG, I did the same thing yesterday. EXCEPT I used my steamer to deep condition and I didn't use a banana, I used milk, honey, olive oil, and avocado, My hair was super soft, and detangled very well but I'm still picking the avocado pulp out.

  • Hair looks like its been living on the streets.....you so crazy.

  • Hair been living on the streets...lol

  • how to deratch your ratchetness...hilarious sug.

  • Sug I so heart you! OMGoodness you are hilarious!

  • Thank you Sug, I will be eating my banana and avocado!

  • I only have one thing to say.... Bananas in your hair.... queue the bees LOL!!! So you are blogging again? Cool

  • @qochemist Yup, I'm back. The old stuff is not there. I explain in my first blog post.

  • OMG, I could not stop laughing... This vid was both informative and funny as all get up. Let me stroll over to you blog site to read the remedy to the disaster!! You're the BEST!!

  • If you have a powerful blender you could just puree the whole mixture. Try that next time. Sorry for that :(. I have had pieces of avocado stuck in my hair.

  • You can use baby banana food instead of a banana (that way it will not get stuck in your hair (that's what I use)

  • Sug I'm loving the blog! glad it all worked out [and maybe got a little bonus conditioning too!]

  • I did the same DAMN thing. I ended up have to go to my friend house, wet my hair, cover it and condish and have her pick it out for me. It took 3 hours to get it all out. and i was so pissed at my poor little ends sprinkled all around me but my hair felt amazing (-_-)

  • But sug...it was soft.

  • But Sug, why did I try and put some mess like this up in my head a couple of months ago, and end up with banana bits all up in my hair, and then had to violently abuse my hair (yes, violently) to get it out. Nope. I didn't use a blender either. Hot mess. I did worse than you. I mashed that thing up with a fork.Umm hmm. I looked JUST like you, lol!!! I blended next time, and liked the results. Think I'm gonna post this on your fb page for good measure. BTW, it took me hours. HOURS to get it out.

  • LOL man I had the same thing happen to me once upon a time! I called myself trying to put conditioner and avocado in my hair...it took forever to rinse MOST of the crap out of my hair lol...after it was said and done I still had little bits in my hair even after it was "rinsed" out...#EpicFail...not to mention I think I was allergic to the avocado because my scalp suffered lol

  • O Lordy! I was all set to have a laugh at your expense but seriously, just felt your pain at the end. One thing, Sug, you never FAIL to entertain!

  • LOL i love how you say boonana lol

  • Lol hilarious

  • BUT SUG...hair fail you say? well look here ma'am...once i tried the olive oil and egg conditioner, then didnt rinse it all out like i thought i did and blowdried my hair after rinsing and that stuff egged up in my hair...major EPIC fail

  • lmao this exact same thing happened to me!!! I had banana chunks stuck in my hair for weeks lol

  • I got that same knife from ikea!!! (not that it is that important o that u care...) lol

  • My epic fail was when I tried to do a protien condish with mayo. NOT GOOD. I put the mayo in my soaking wet hair. I put in a TON of mayo because I REALLY wanted to get the protien in there. I covered my hair with a plastic bag decieded to do an over night treatment. I think you see where this is going. I think my body heat started melting the mayo and it was a mess. It ran all over my pillow, down my neck and it had a very peculiar smell. My husband was NOT happy....#FAIL.

  • Omg, I could feel your pain. Thanks for doing this though. I'm not going anywhere near that mix. It was already suspect because of the banana. Bananas are evil. I'm going to go murder one right now for you.

  • LM*AO!! I had to take a water break, you are too funny!! You looked like you wanted to back slap somebody! This mix sounds like it may be the business. Heading to the blog now.

  • Woo Lawd. Dead @6:20. I saw trouble brewing when you went for the masher and not the blender. I had a similar fail to this a few years back. I hope you're feeling better.

  • Hello......question for u. Do u recommend shampooing instead of co-washing. If u do.....how often and what shampoo do u recommend. I have not gotten into shampooing so just wanted to know which is better. Can u do a video on the benefits if shampooing vs. Co-washing. Thanks. Sidebar......can u do a video on how to make videos and what device u use. Thanks again....you rock.

  • You look like halle berry in Frankie and Alice, for real.

  • Girl u had me in tears BEFORE the fail!! LMAO!!!!!!! YOU are hilarious! SO glad I watched this before I tried it......cuz I wouldnt have used a blender either! I think I'll do a hair fail response! :)

  • Ohhhh, I like the intro shot *ahem... before the singing...* lol! JK

  • Oh yeah I did the same treatment with a mashed banana and I had chunks in my TWA - yes a TWA - for at least 2 days. I did the same treatment to my sister and she was pissed, lol never again!! The chunks never seem to wash out!!

  • Awww, But Sug!!!! Your "sick" voice sounds just like one of The Braxtons - especially when you pronounce your "o"'s, lol! (I'd say Trina Braxton). Glad you're getting better because I really missed your videos....now heading to the blog to see the rest of the story! :)

  • sugar! lmaooooooooooooooooooo i cant with you this mornting!

  • Bbbwwwaaaahhhhhh!!!! ROTFLMBO!!!! Ma'am, imma need u to sit down!!!! OMG!!!! I can't stop laughing!!!!

  • *wall slide* at defeated!!

  • 6:20-6:24 OH NO BUT SUG!...LMBO THATS TOOO FUNNY!!!

    :

  • oh my gosh..too funny! "This is some bull****". ..girl you had me cracking up..

  • Lol o my goodness I did the same thing last year...I feel you sis!

  • You know your hair looks a lot like denimpixie's? But I would say that you definitely have the superior haircut, your layers are so cute!

  • I have done the same thing.. I detangled and it came right out. But my hair isn't as long as yours is. I use the blender now tho. Lol... Lesson learned

  • OMG Sug .... girl you got me crackin up

  • You could have used your blender or food processor to get a smoother consistency. Poor Sug we can tell you were under the weather with these shenanigans, lol.

  • lmao.... too funny, but sorry it happened to you Sug.

  • Omg Sug!

  • I use baby food bananas already smooth.

  • Rotflmbo 'I have made a mistake' *stare* omg! You think sug? That was just too funny

  • Lol funny I'm too cautious with my naps - I chunk-strand-test most new products or mixes.

  • Oh yes...this was me about a year and a half ago lol. Took forever to get out lol

  • OMG nooooooo poor you :( And you're sick on top of it! Sucks! Well at least your hair was soft, could you imagine if your hair was not soft??? Girl!

  • Lololololololololol I can hardly breathe this video is PURE COMEDY!

  • lol I learned the hard way too. Avacado with out a blender + natural hair is the devil. lol

  • Omg.....bwahahahaha! (takes a breath)....*resumes*......pwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

  • I'm in tears. Omg Sug your commentary is hilarious.

  • I was wondering why you didn't put it in a blender and what the hell you were doing with the masher!!! LOL!!

  • *logs all the way off of YouTube and clears history* Bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!

  • Lol too funny! I am sorry for laughing I would be pissed off too!

  • The same thing happened to me with garlic it was a hot mess!!! lol

  • i had this same prob with bananas and i don't even what i used to get it out. it came out eventually....bwahaha.

  • It's not funny but...bwhahahah....glad u got it out....headed to the blog to find out how...:)

  • But Shug, you are too funny. We missed you and are soo glad your back and feeling better.o_O

  • My hubby saw the "microwave burn bowl" and was listening. He said "all yall need to get a job" HAAAAHHHAA! (we got stuff to do, shoot!)

  • Yeah, I heard about people not being able to get the banana chunks out of their hair. I did a deep condition before using evoo, honey, and banana baby food. The banana baby food is so much better because it does not stick to your hair. I admit it does not smell all that great but my results were pretty decent. Anyway, yeah use banana baby food instead!

  • It 2:53 in the AM. And I am rolling in my bed laughin so hard!

  • But Shug, i neva hrard u cuss b4...its too funny im sorry

  • vwhahahaha...gasp,,,Lawd have mercy Sug...I can't breathe....Now you know you're a mess! I'm fooling around on YT this early in the am looking at this - Never Again! I laughed so long and so hard I almost had an accident.. must have laughed my butt off..hubby and son wide be awake now.

  • You kilt the lady bug bowl! Oh! You are hilarious!

  • Omg! I'm hella weak!...

  • LOL

  • Avocados broke out my skin around my nape and forehead .. im allergic to it & Never again will I try it a 2nd time

  • @purpleeye92 Me too I recently found out I was allergic...never again!!

  • yeah sug! i know about those beautiful homemade conditioners! when i was in my 20's i decided to make a protein pack with eggs...simple enough, right? why i sat under a heated dryer for like 20 minutes!?(FAIL) ohh LAWD! they scrabled all through my hair! lol, i cried.

  • Sug! You just made my night chile. Im over here weakkkkk from watching this lol bless ya heart girl.

  • OMG! I did the exact same thing with evoo, banana chunks and HONEY! Talk about tragic!! Never again will I put anything chunky in my hair. #fail

  • Haha! Thanx Sug!

  • One misadventure with my hair was a color choice. I decided I'd color it dark brown my natural color but this brown was way too dark and my hair looked jet black. At the age of 26 it was awful, I was in a panic and called my hair stylist LOL. I was heart broken with that black hair and my skin color, looking like I had a bad wig on.

  • Lord have mercy chile you are a mess for sure. Thanks for sharing this particular misadventure with us and making me laugh

  • Lol I did this too!

  • LMAO Sug...I did the EXACT same thing about 2 years ago. Avocado and Banana...smh. Had to stand in the cold shower (Didn't have a big sink in college) with a pick and conditioner to completely pick it all out of my hair. I have the same texture and everything. I laughed too hard watching this. 1 because you are hilarious 2 reminiscing on my experience. Isn't it just great learning from your own mistakes lol.

  • i laughed until i cried thank you !!!

  • And I pretty much had to go through my hair with 3 combs to get the avacado and banana out. 1 wide tooth comb,a comb with slightly smaller teeth, and a comb with even smaller teeth. the rest I picked out with my hands. I didn't have a blow dryer.

  • heheheh im so sorry for what happen to u, but this was great lol, i wanna try the conditioner but now m worried!! when blended it will b ok? or the fact that u sat under the dryer that cooked it that was the issue? please update : )

  • Yup. Your fail is a fail I have had before. The bananna has little pieces that aren't smooth and get stuck in the hair. Food processor next time, honey. Never again will i mash it with a fork and apply to my hair. Shanaynay(my hair's name) was not havin' it. She was pissed at me for a while. It took forever to get all of that banana out.

  • Never done this before but now I'm scared that I'm gonna forget and accidentally do it lol

  • oh no...lol. Me and avocado can't get along anymore unless its in some guacamole. I tried a DIY conditioner and I guess the avocado wasn't ripe enough. Smh...had to shave the avocado outta ma' head cuz I looked a hot mess with these big ol pieces of avocado that were all Neither One of Us...in my hair. lol. no ma'am.

  • I love how you get all upset when Tiny comes in. That little bell ringing. It's like the kitty version of Jaws!!

  • Try using pureed bananas/jar of baby food if you don't have a blender. That way you get all of the nutrients from the banana w/o the chunks. I also skip the avocado and just use the oil. *shrugs*

  • It works you just have to use a blender. Great vid! Love your channel.

  • Girllll...been there done that.....i wanna cryjust from the memories...lol
