That's Fantastic, I really love Bill and the fact that you never see flo in the film. I watched a video years and years ago, it was a short documentry about Aardman, it had footage of pete lord etc making this film, War story' and it had Bill Perry on it. He looked a dear old fella. He was sat in a cinema talking about how funny he thought it was that he heard his voice coming out of this plasticine puppet...great stuff, I would love to see that little documentary again, it was great. cheers. me
@Lockett552 I had the same predicament. I'm so glad I found it on here; Ident was the other 'short' that I couldn't identify from my memory until I saw this and found the link :)
nicly done. i like the way its the same way my grandad tells me storys. he would tell me that. "when i was on the aircraft i used to pack parashouts and one day i was mistaken for a solder and made parashout jump into the battle ield right! and i had this Big heavy rile right and we had to shoot the enemys and there was a little boy in the cross fire. and me best friend took a ullet or the little child right, me friend survived after surgery and the child mad it out" i love my grandad
i watched this today in moscow on this cool thingy buit unfortunatly in russian grr :( yeah but im honestly more intrested in the thing before it that was playing which seemed to be part of the same sort of thing were a bunch of torys were having a dinner party and one starts talking about how awful communism and socialism is and then a fat guy explodes and blood spurts everywere anyone know what that is?
Thanks for posting. I recorded this off Channel 4 sometime in the early 90s along with a bunch of other Aardman stuff and wore the tape thin with repeated plays. It's nice to see it again... top notch little animation.

I love this. I could spend all day listening to older people's stories about the war and after.
I was the only one in primary school who used to enjoy it when the people used to come in during history lessons and tell us old war stories.

'Ave I got the right 'ouse?' LOL
You just can't beat real people's memories, and Aardman have taken one guy's words and created something exceptional.
This house, I'm afraid was on the slant . . .
Fucking priceless!
