  • June 23rd eh? That's the same week the Chicagoland area always seems to allways have Tornado Warnings. On June 23rd 2010 there was a tornado warning in Chicago and 7 funnel clouds went over the area and one right over my neighborhood!

  • Scary hell

  • lol, church bells and storm sirens. It's like God and Satan having a scrap!

  • @cultfilm:

Not sure..i was looking Threads..but it was another film..it was scary, because it was not sure befor what the sirens have to warn..It was a "crossing" of films like "Mad max"-"Postman" and "Threads"

I hav never seen this film again since the 80-ties..

The people were wairing cloths like they have found them a little dirty, but it was clear that ther was "some civilation" like ours "left".

    I search on.. ;)

  • @cultim 100 Points..

An i had an Experience something scary like this:

In 1984 in january at a sunday morning at 7 o clock ALL sirens of my homecounty were going on with ATTACK WARNING!!

The sirens wer 45 Minutes howling..my father was crying and he was screaming

"The Russian are coming, get all together and we must leave our homes..

It was scary, becaus the government was saying :

"It was an mistake at the warning operator center"

It was like 1944 in gernany O,o

  • Sounds like a 2T22

  • You can see a face in the big tree to the left in the beginning of the clip

wish the US had these sirens

  • I can remember, that one old film, there was first alarming bysirens, and "carsirens",but then were no Power, and only the bells of the Churches and "handpowered sirens" were left for alarming the pople.

Does anybody know that film?It was from the 80-ties.

  • @Caddl123 might have been "Threads"? not sure...

  • VEERRRY rare. Tornado warning in the UK . Even so, EVERY country has a storm alley .

  • @Droideka133: Not everyone..........in fact, only a few countries have tornado alleys; The U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Australia..........and that's about it, really.

  • Well, it proves that the UK also has an tornado alley. Well, truthfully, all countries do.

  • Was there really a tornado that day?

  • War sirens, I'd think i'd be afraid of nuclear attack not tornadoes!

  • and the siren is tested every monday and nine

  • we get tornadoes in kansas

  • we get tornadoes in castle

  • All you did was duplicated your first Castle Castings video into this. That's pretty good.

  • where is it in the uk ?

  • nice, castle casting!

  • Actually taking into account the UK is a small landmass compared to thr USA, the United Kingdom actually has the highest frequency of reported tornadoes per unit area in the world. This was first recognised by an American meteorologist, Dr. T. Fujita, in 1973.

  • sounds like a Castle Castings siren

  • So, do you get tornadoes in the uk?or just severe storms?Does the siren sound just for severe storms ?

  • We get lots of things. In the area I live we have a Old Klaxon which is tested every monday morning at 10am for Broadmoor Hospital.

  • Would like to get a UK Siren here in the US and sound it on 50hz for a tornado warning. (using a hz converter which are available)

  • You can put a 2T22 on a phase invertor and it will sound with a lower pitch very much like this one.
