You will see soon. I have built a 11" diameter pancake coil using flat transformer wire, 1/4" thick. A 5gal pale "rocket" will be taking to the skies on video soon!!
In one Tesla arrangement there is a LC circuit , or ac high frequency generator, that looped once around the outer perimeter of the flat coil with the outside wire end connected, the inner end left unconnected. Thus the flat coil acts as antenna pushing the ether/air in one direction, high frequency AC pushes out in one direction like radio, invented by Tesla, and wireless power transmission and not two way AC at lower frequencies. In any case I looks like you have a way of doing things. Best.
lol, i just got 5 free samples from cde, 2100uf 500v caps, 262.5 joules each! its amazing. and they are only 2 bucks a pop 2 buy, im gunna buy 25 more and have a cap bank with total output of about 8kj, cant wait!
Gotta love his nasty hyena laugh :D

How do you shortcircuit?
With a Thyristor or mechanical?
thx for an answer
(i built one by myself, but i discharge them with two spring...)

Via an electro-mechanical spark gap

1:54 sparks go up the rail/grid thing. what is it anyway?

Lose screws in capacitors cause this, when that happens it means I need to tighten them up again.

How Many Volts????

The bank can deliver a maximum of 4500v when fully charged.

Yes.

@FastMHz Once you are excited seeing your designs in action, laughing like school girl is permitted.
Great Video FastMHz

@FastMHz how loud is that, and what would it be comparable to?

@iminyourbasement Some of those explosions sound like a high powered rifle being discharged. You can feel the pressure wave....

How does that capacitor bank work with a coil.

It looks like most objects are getting instantly vaporized. Nice. What will you show us next? I can't wait.

Holy damn.
Mine's only 1Kj. It's not even done yet.
And...questions!
Where'd all those caps come from? Where they free from some surplus, a gift, cost a fortune?
What do you charge it with? Current plz.
Do you know how much current it draws from mains when it's charging?
How long does it take to get up to full charge? (23kJ...YIKES!)
I am now a subscriber! Thanks for the entertainment!

and great work fastmhz, you should do a shot of steel wool and aluminum foil.
