@Chuichupachichi I take offense at this comment. Having worked in a public defender's office, I NEVER observed any such conduct as you allege. Most public defenders work endlessly on their over-burdensome caseload, and vigorously defend their clients. However, unfortunately, a large number of defendants that receive public defenders have either admitted wrongdoing to the police or have substantial evidence admitted against them. Promotion is generally lock-step based on seniority.
