I have come to know the campy glory that is the maniac cop franchise through the wonder of on demand. You really can't go wrong with anything Bruce is associated with tho his best stuff is with Raimi imo.  Best of luck in getting to direct something in the franchise. It seems you'd do it as well as anybody from watching these short films.

Man, this has brought back the original maniac cop film i loved those many moons ago. I remember watching it at an age i should really have been. What a classic, and one of the best horro characters ever created. This is a top short, hope something comes if it. A remake or whatever, we need Cordell back.

The Shadow and the film is very good. Both of which like the character did a cosplay of him, but I will improve to look more closely still.

you should watch the maniac cop series. first film came out in 1989. seconde film came out in 1990 or 1992. third film came out in 1993. in all 3 films he uses a nightstick baton with a concealed blade.

The edits on this film were a little off. The cuts should be quicker.

But I like what you're doing here. It really does have a updated feel to it but still holds true to what the version tried to do.

If you do get rights to the film please keep my favorite line "you wanna see the pretty pictures". It always made me laugh.

Wow! This has such high level production values. Bravo to the director & cast and cinematographer. The visuals are incredible as is the acting. Young girl was so realistic, two hoods were so in character. The younger thud reminds me of the intensity of Steve Mc Queen or Collin Farrell. Would love to see this be a feature film.

great job Chris what most people don't realize is from shooting to editing to posting on u tube it took 10 hours. Hollywood has to be crazy not to finance this remake.

well lets see. we began shooting around 9pm. wrapped at about 10:45. got home around 11ish. i began editing at 12am after logging the footage. finished editing by 3am. then compressed it and went to sleep. woke up around noon cause i was dead tired, then posted it. so yeah. had i not fallen asleep i would have had this sucker up well before 5am.
