If we evolved from monkeys... why don't monkeys at least speak English? Or why do we not have a record of ANY fossils or mutations that proves this? Why are there displays at museums that show ape-men? Where is the proof and where is the science behind this??? This bent over ape to tall man scale is a theory not fact.

I'm not saying that just because it is a theory, that it is therefore discredited.. I'm saying it should always be referred to as "Evolutionary Theory" or " The Theory of Evolution" or "The theory of the ape-men"

Just because the laws support it, does not mean its Truth of Fact(not to mention this theory is tax supported, why isn't any other theory support? hmm)

Why aren't monkeys capable? As Dawkins shows, we are not directly linked to monkeys, but have a common ancestor. So assuming this is true, the genetics of that ancestor should have past down to our current monkeys just the same as how we should really be half monkey and inherit their qualities.

Did you not learn anything about Mt St Helens? In comparison to the formation of the grand canyon, that blew the layer dates out of the water. What you say takes millions of years, took a few weeks.

How did the author of Genesis know there was a layer of water underneath the earths crust that cracked open causing global flood?

Yes just a record is an inaccurate way of determining the age of something. Thats why there are loads of methods to determine how old something is.

if you lived 3000 years ago and a tsunami occurred what would you think would be the cause? the water had to come from somewhere.

@Waustvanput Oh i meant fossils "of" mutations. There are no half man half monkey fossils. There are no missing links. They are missing for a reason, they don't exist. As for the fossil record, how can you determine the age of a fossil in a certain layer, if you determine the age of the layer by the fossil. Thats circular reasoning. What do you think about the petrified trees standing upward that are found all over the earth? Are you going to say this tree is millions of years old?

the tree.. if various radiometric dating methods all say this tree is millions of years old then yes if they dont and give another age the tree has another age.

If the tree is upright cutting through several layers of sediment; the base of it being 4 million years old, is the top of the tree the same age as the root? Could the top of the tree be 1 million years old? There was a flood. There are signs all over the world. Ps I just browsed through the age of the oldest trees on earth and see that it is approx 6,000 years old? Coincidence?

@Waustvanput Jesus recorded only in the bible?? Jewish historians recorded many things. You can easily pull up articles on google about the history of Jesus. In fact, you could go to any university library and find more information on Jesus than any Russian Czar. Im not browsing as we go here, i studied this as an atheist a year and a half ago, and became a Christian in Septemberish because I learned how much sense the bible makes and how you can just look out a window and see God's wonders

Do research yourself about each to get the answers, but I guarantee in the end you will find an article by the national geographic admitting that these scientists made up evidence to prove their findings were legit. (one was found last minute before his grant expired)

@Waustvanput This tree was buried rapidly. I can't say what the people 3000 years ago believed, but I can say that the bible says the fountains of the deep broke open as well... It describes the layers of the earth, water, air, ozone etc. Good guess? I dont think so. The pressure must have been immense when the water bursted out of the fault lines(fountains of the deep). Not to mention the torrential down pour of rain to add to the flooding.

@shfifty555 helen is funny because.. in the grand canyon you can find different types of plants/fossils corresponding to the place in the timeline in which they lived in.

on the fossils. you find a fossil use various radiometric dating methods. find the age of the fossil. look into what layer they were at. do this with multiple fossils and see if the correspond to each other. if they do. you got yourself an age for the layer. if they dont well it doesnt work =D but it does^^

@Waustvanput Archaeopteryx? The fossil record is inaccurate. This "First Bird" could be the second bird. Yet it is still recognized as the FIRST. The definition even states it is the first bird known, yet you use it as a transitional form, not "the theory is that it is a transitional form. Get what im saying? You talk like it is all fact, but it is all a theory, a belief, an idea. Just like creation theory. But creation theory has history, evolution has guesses over billions of years

The problem is that there just isn't an evolutionary mechanism within the cell that would be able to facilitate these changes. When cells divide they make an exact copy, in fact DNA is a system of retaining and passing on information. if evolution were true then we wouldn't need DNA at all since mutations are all about changes. It makes sense really when you realize Darwin had no concept of DNA when he developed his theory. If you have any real understanding of physiology you can't believe evo.

@gregrutz With the exception of a developing embryo, or a stem cell, yes they do. Furthermore, if a cell is dividing, regardless of whether it makes an exact copy, then it would no longer be a one celled animal, but a two celled animal... basic math. Anatomical structure is based on fractals not mutations or variations, you owe it to yourself to read more. Darwin didn't show anyone, anything as evolution is unobservable. The sooner this antiquated and incompatible theory is scrapped the better.

did you know that all primates are technically monkeys. i know it sounds weird but in cladistic terms because we evolved from an ancestor that would have been classed as a monkey, we cannot 'escape' the classification of monkey. we are also apes and hominids.

Mitch, monkeys and humans are more like cousins than we are a "form" of monkeys.

We're both apes, and we both come from a creature similar to both monkeys and humans. Chances are, we came from the same species that was eventually separated by climate and were forced to adapt to different types of environments.

Eventually, you have two different types of species.
