If you care, a really cool way to get volt tackle in a battle like this with Diamond/ Pearl/ Platinum is breed a female pikachu holding a light orb, with a pokemon in the "fairy" egg group, such as cherrim and then the pichu that is bred will have volt tackle

my piplup (the one from my starter empoleon) had hydro pump and brine so its had 3 moves so its possible to get a strong lv 1 pokemon whit a ditto

the easiest way to get good pokemon with good moves by breeding is to get a ditto and a male pokemon with good moves and u can get really strong lv one pokemon that know the same move set as the male pokemon
