While I do agree that negatives have value I've gotta agree w/ indigo. 80% of what Arthur Jones said was crap. Some of it was flat out insanity. Jones has legions of devotees to this day but none of them are any bigger or stronger than the rest of us. Jones himself only had a little bit of size and strength and it's probably because he scored some vitamin "S" from Casey Viator. Nautilus equipment did NOT build mountains of muscle on anyone but it did make Jones rich!
You haters fail to come up with arguments. Much of what Arthur Jones said is sensible and logical. Read his work, if that doesn't help you then please seize to exist.
I'll assume you meant "cease" to exist. Anyway..... I have read Jones' work. The Nautilus bullitens as well as more of his writings are all available for free on his website. I have poured over the Nautilus bullitens and have found the ideas printed there to rarely be sensible. Jones' ideas have consistantly proved to be worthless in the real world with real drug-free lifters. Like any real lifter I have tried HIT/ Heavy Duty more than once. After all,who wouldn't want what HIT promises?
So I assume your argument is: I tried, I failed to achieve great results therefor it's crap. I fail to understand why you dismiss his logic, for you have not given any proper argument.
You assume incorrectly. My personal experience hardly constitutes proof that a set of theories are invalid. I dismiss his "logic" because in many instances there WAS no logic. AJ was little more than bitter and anti-social. He thrived on promoting something that was the opposite of what was generally accepted. It seems to me he was blinded by his obsession to contradict the status quo. If you have ever actually read the Nautilus Bulletins you'd find they are filled with itellectual flaws.
