  • So peaceful, and yet only 275 miles from Hanoi.

Home of the 55th. Good duty.

  • Great to see NKP again! I drove the aircraft refueling trucks in 1972 - 1973. If anyone remembers a big fuel spill they had there I was the one refueling my truck when the refueling line broke and we had about 4, 000 gallons spill on the ground before we could get it turned off! occh1@aol.com

  • Great to see comments from former NKPers; of course there is little left of the base today save the airstrip now being used commercially. Google maps shows what is left of the base; you can zoom in pretty close and make out dirt paths where roads used to be in the good old days when a quarter could get you a taxi ride anywhere on base including the Thai Restaurant near the main gate. Sawadee Dtah (former waitress)!

  • Thanks.

    E-3 A.G.E. 1/70 to 12/70

  • thank for sharing the home movie of nkp i was there in 1974 good duty
