Green Day was one of the first bands that made me stop listening to country and start listening to other music (alternative). 10 years later I'm listening to The Who, Pink Floyd, The Beatles etc. I wouldn't put bands like Green Day and Blink 182 (yeah I said it) on my top 10 list, but if it weren't for bands like them, I would have never listened to alternative or classic rock, and I'm sure LOTS of people can say the same. So for me, no Green Day (good band) = no The Who (legendary!)
