@da7nesman Evolution by natural selection states that the environment will shape the organism. Those that find the environment conducive to the status-quo will experience very little change, while those whose environment changes drastically, will change as well. About 5 Million years ago northern Africa changed drastically, while the environs south of it didn't. The homonids that lived north were changed, by natural selection, to survive in the harsher new environment. Those south, didn't.

APES ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE IN HOW THEY WALK, just as humans are quite comfortable in how they walk. Even a slight change in the position of a muscle or bone, for either, would be excruciatingly painful and would not be an advantage for survival. Part 4: Doubter5: It is that simple, but it's the job of Satan to throw the wrench into the gears of reason founded in the truth of God's word. If you would have actually stayed in the word, you would have begun to see the tactics Satan uses, mixing a little truth with his lies. Part 3 Doublter5: If you are seeking the truth, consider the writings of Paul in Romans 3. You must have faith in your faith about God, but it’s Satan’s job to question your faith concerning God’s word. You hold out with the given faith and build on that by reading his word. Satan cannot snatch you from the hand of God unless you allow him to. Repent and return to the True Living God who gave his life that you might live.
Part 1. Doubter5: I'll make a final attempt to explain again. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1. Lets remember that God is a Spirit. It takes more faith to disbelieve. Satan has been distorting God’s truth from the beginning. Same with the Constitution, men have taken the words out of context. Satan has been deceiving man ever since, distorting God and his word. God created us with a choice in what we will believe or not. Our faith in God is our only salvation, but because Satan can’t hurt God, he’s going after man to deceive him where the truth fits better. The outcome is your responsibility.
Part 3. It’s in man to worship God, but Satan tells you there are many gods, e.g. all the gods man has created with Satan’s help. There is only One True God and his Son’s name is Jesus. It’s your God given right to believe what you will, as God has already given you his word, which is dead to the natural man, it takes a born again man through faith, Spirit Baptized to get its meaning and its mystery. When you do, God revels himself to us. It’s that simple.
@1LonePuma Well, it's not that simple. I grew up a Christian, and did as you asked many times, however god never deigned to reveal himself to me. (here is where you blame the victim). When I got to college, and started researching some of the claims of Christianity, as well as looking into the claims of other religions, and I found that they ALL demand faith, and claim to know what God wants/says/means.

Jesus also spoke in riddles that the mob couldn't not understand its meaning, including his disciples, but they asked why...he said, it was not for them to understand because he knew who belonged to the kingdom of God. It stands to reason that if you were in a school, studying any other curriculum, you would have failed, at least in my class. It simply means a spiritual death, and also a spiritual separation from God because of the sin of disobedience. So, that being understood, God did not lie.

You mention Satan tempting Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. This is a common mistake to make, as the story of Satan being the snake is a myth spread by christians. The bible says that the snake talked, hence the snake being punished by having its legs removed and its ancestors being punished in the same way for their ancestor's crime. Satan isn't in that chapter of Genesis. He may not be in Genesis at all.

The bible doesn't necessarily say it's about 6000 years old, the word for "days" is as well "(unspecified) duration of time". If you don't know exactly WHAT you are translating, such a mistake is likely to happen, pure matter of chance.

Can you add to the creation story contradictions the fact that part way through the first day, God created day. Go through the sequence of the two things he creates to make day and night and you will see that there can be no other interpretation - he creates something that already exists.

The writers percieved an imaginary world of spirits, fairies, demons and magical causes and effects which simply have no basis in truth. The religions created by those people are all fallacious in every way and anyone who follows those belief systems is foolish.
IMO atheists are actually more moral than most. Atheists will actively and openly think over and study a variety of philosophy, morals and ethics (including Xian) so they understand the strengths and weaknesses of each without presupposed judgements or outs. Of course there will always be sociopaths who reject it all. But I think relgion actually makes it easier for the sociopaths, by letting them to pick and choose the many evil passages with a get out of jail free pass.

Science is not always changing what it says. It normally is refining what it says. Almost all scientific paradigms account for the effectiveness of the previous paradigm.
And of course Atheist's take every Scripture in the Bible literally or misinterpret it. When God told Adam and Eve they would die if they ate of the forbidden fruit, He meant that somewhere in the future their life would come to an end, He did not say "you'll drop dead the exact moment you eat of the forbidden fruit."
That's your best comeback, "I am not misinterpreting Scipture, you are?" Just because it doesn't record God explaining death to Adam does not mean he had no idea what it was. Eve even told the serpent "God said we would die if we ate of the forbidden fruit," so she knew what death was apparently. And about Jesus' death and resurrection, you totally left out that prophets in the Old Testament foretold of these events and that He was fulfilling them.

I only watched this video because of a commenter on my profile. What I don't get is why Atheist's spend so much time with "you're not a rational human being if this video doesn't convince you to change your beliefs." I am glad I am not one of them because Christians like me provide with what we believe as truth but don't call others stupid or unintellectual if they don't agree with it.

The basis for Creation is not based on religion, not all people who have studied it were necessarily Christians. If you ever have a plan to 'revise' this part, it might be a good idea to change 'monkeys' to 'apes', as they are our generally accepted common ancestor, although discussion of that is in contention in some places too where some anthropologists (eg. Jeremy Schwarz) believes lower primates are our ancestors. Anyway, getting carried away here :)
Fantastic, Doubter5! With regards to morals, it's pretty easy to see where they could come from. Think about how successful a species relying on social coherence would be if lieing, cheating, stealing, and killing indiscriminantly were considered alright. It would fall apart pretty quickly. The same reasoning extends to all social species and, sure enough, we see forms of morality manifest in these species. Wolves, hippos, elephants, etc... all behave according to social codes.
The Code of Hammurabi was written around 1780 BC. It shows rules and punishments if those rules are broken. It focuses on theft, agriculture (or shepherding), property damage, women's rights, marriage rights, children's rights, slave rights, murder, death, and injury. The punishment varies depending on the class of offenders and victims.

Those that find the environment conducive to the status-quo will experience very little change, while those whose environment changes drastically, will change as well. About 5 Million years ago northern Africa changed drastically, while the environs south of it didn't. The homonids that lived north were changed, by natural selection, to survive in the harsher new environment. Those south, didn't.

The issue is which faith the scientific evidence best supports. BLIND WATCHMAKER NO ARGUMENT. Natural selection is no "blind watchmaker" because it can only "select" from variations produced having survival value. It doesn't produce variations. It only operates once there is life and reproduction, not before, so it couldn't be involved in life's origins. A partially-evolved cell (an oxymoron) would quickly disintegrate. GENETIC INFORMATION DOESN'T HAPPEN BY CHANCE, so it's more logical to believe that genetic similarities between all forms of life are due to a common Designer who designed similar functions for similar purposes. ALL REAL EVOLUTION ( i.e. varieties of dogs, cats, etc.) is the expression, over time, of already existing genes. Evolution is possible only if there’s information (genes) directing it. Only variations of already existing genes are possible, which means only limited evolution and adaptations are possible. NOT ALL EVOLUTIONISTS even agree on the fossils used to support and reconstruct human evolution. The bones are incomplete. There's no certainty of the bones belonging to the same creature. They can reconstruct whatever they want from these bones, and they have. There's no hard evidence that humans evolved from an ape-like creature anymore than there's hard evidence that apes evolved from a four-legged dog-like creature. APES ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE IN HOW THEY WALK, just as humans are quite comfortable in how they walk. Even a slight change in the position of a muscle or bone, for either, would be excruciatingly painful and would not be an advantage for survival. There's no hard evidence that humans evolved from ape-like creature anymore than there's hard evidence that apes evolved from four-legged dog-like creatures. @1LonePuma Well, it's not that simple. I grew up a Christian, and did as you asked many times, however god never deigned to reveal himself to me. (here is where you blame the victim). When I got to college, and started researching some of the claims of Christianity, as well as looking into the claims of other religions, and I found that they ALL demand faith, and claim to know what God wants/says/means.

Jesus also spoke in riddles that the mob couldn't not understand its meaning, including his disciples, but they asked why...he said, it was not for them to understand because he knew who belonged to the kingdom of God. It stands to reason that if you were in a school, studying any other curriculum, you would have failed, at least in my class. Understanding the word of God is no different; you must find the meaning or understand of its hidden meaning. It simply means a spiritual death, and also a spiritual separation from God because of the sin of disobedience. So, that being understood, God did not lie.

You mention Satan tempting Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. This is a common mistake to make, as the story of Satan being the snake is a myth spread by christians. The bible says that the snake talked, hence the snake being punished by having its legs removed and its ancestors being punished in the same way for their ancestor's crime. Satan isn't in that chapter of Genesis. He may not be in Genesis at all.

Those who wrote the scriptures of all religions were in possetion of practically zero knowledge of the actualities that even schoolchildren of today possess.
The writers percieved an imaginary world of spirits, fairies, demons and magical causes and effects which simply have no basis in truth. The religions created by those people are all fallacious in every way and anyone who follows those belief systems is foolish.

IMO atheists are actually more moral than most. Atheists will actively and openly think over and study a variety of philosophy, morals and ethics (including Xian) so they understand the strengths and weaknesses of each without presupposed judgements or outs. Of course there will always be sociopaths who reject it all. But I think relgion actually makes it easier for the sociopaths, by letting them to pick and choose the many evil passages with a get out of jail free pass.

I don't think that it's ever been an issue. It certainly wasn't with Andrea Yates because she was mentally unstabel. That's my point. It's not about Religion, or lack there of. It's about insanity. And maybe there are lost of atheists that do, just becasue it's not reported on doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. I happen to be an atheist and would love to blame religion for women thinking that they should kill their children. We know they all do is some way anyway.

There is no one truely unified atheist movement. And the brilliant thing is that there doesn't need to be.

Eve even told the serpent "God said we would die if we ate of the forbidden fruit," so she knew what death was apparently. And about Jesus' death and resurrection, you totally left out that prophets in the Old Testament foretold of these events and that He was fulfilling them.

You seem to arbitrarially say "This bit's a metaphore", "This bit proved you wrong" "What he really meant was..." etc. Sometimes the SAME parts that Christians NOW say was a metaphore were used centuries ago to prove that the world was flat! You also say "This character was actually Satan" even though the Bible doesn't actually say that.

Great work Doubter, I really appreciate your work on these. If you ever have a plan to 'revise' this part, it might be a good idea to change 'monkeys' to 'apes', as they are our generally accepted common ancestor, although discussion of that is in contention in some places too where some anthropologists (eg. Jeremy Schwarz) believes lower primates are our ancestors. Anyway, getting carried away here :)

Fantastic, Doubter5! With regards to morals, it's pretty easy to see where they could come from. Think about how successful a species relying on social coherence would be if lieing, cheating, stealing, and killing indiscriminantly were considered alright. It would fall apart pretty quickly. The same reasoning extends to all social species and, sure enough, we see forms of morality manifest in these species. Wolves, hippos, elephants, etc... all behave according to social codes.
