  • really nice work man ... i dont think everyone knows how much work a solid axle and a 6.5 chevy diesel swap ... never seen that swap before ... i have a solid axle swap and plan on doing a 350 swap

  • did you have to put a body lift to get the motor to fit so low in the frame?

  • Nope, just used the v8 conversion engine mount on the drivers side and the factory diesel mount on the right with a custom mount pad

  • Man! I bet that thing really goes. good choice. And since its in a nice light pickup you probably get 25mpg huh?

  • wow you have the money to mod a s-10 with a diesel motor, jack up the suspension, and put after market tires on it. but you dont have the money to buy a better video camera.

  • Piss off. Is that understandable moron. It took 3 years to finish this truck. Not a pocket full of 20's. Hard work. Learn about it someday!!

  • Yah, I just checked. You have NEVER posted a vid! I shall call you Kettle.

  • Nice, man.

  • I wouldnt know about putting it in a stock Blazer as mine had the solid axle in it before the diesel conversion.

  • So I'm really curious about how much it'd take to drop a 6.5l diesel in an s10 blazer. I'd like to keep it as close to stock hight as possible, maybe a little lower... Is that insane? If I can't stay at stock height I might go for a light 2" lift or so? Really want to shoot more for fuel economy and power than off road awesomeness. lol

  • Thats Awesome man!! great swap!

  • NEVER convert the 6.5 to bio diesel.

  • I have wanted to put a 6.5L Diesel in an s10 for a long time but wasn't even sure if it was possible! Now that I know it is, where would you recommend me to start looking for info on this? I can imagine it's gotta be a HUGE project... Beefing front suspension and I can't imagine what other cutting and custom fabbing. Thanks!

  • Awesome pickup, what kinda mileage do u get outta that thing?

  • If I keep my foot out of it I can get 24mpg on my 130 trip to N.H.

  • im wanting to put a diesel into my 2wd 98. prolly just a cummins six though. what do you recommend?

  • If a cummins is what your after then a 4bt is your only real choice if you still want to street it. And, even at that I have no idea if it will fit into a 2wd. For something as small as that I would look into the vw 4cyl turbo diesel. That swap is becoming popular in alot of vehicles. Extreme 4x4 put one in a samurai and ran it on veggie juice.

  • a 4bt will fit in the engen bay of my 2wd 1st gen s10. I dont think the frount end wont hold the weight tho. done tryed

  • Diesel Power just featured a 6bt in a 2wd s10 thats looks not to far from streetable.

  • there is a vdeo of a 6bt in a dd ranger. yea it can be done with a lot of modifing.

  • Lookin Good! It's startling how similar are builds are, guess we both have great taste huh!

  • now i want to see it in the mud
