really nice work man ... i dont think everyone knows how much work a solid axle and a 6.5 chevy diesel swap ... never seen that swap before ... i have a solid axle swap and plan on doing a 350 swap
wow you have the money to mod a s-10 with a diesel motor, jack up the suspension, and put after market tires on it. but you dont have the money to buy a better video camera.
So I'm really curious about how much it'd take to drop a 6.5l diesel in an s10 blazer. I'd like to keep it as close to stock hight as possible, maybe a little lower... Is that insane? If I can't stay at stock height I might go for a light 2" lift or so? Really want to shoot more for fuel economy and power than off road awesomeness. lol
I have wanted to put a 6.5L Diesel in an s10 for a long time but wasn't even sure if it was possible! Now that I know it is, where would you recommend me to start looking for info on this? I can imagine it's gotta be a HUGE project... Beefing front suspension and I can't imagine what other cutting and custom fabbing. Thanks!
If a cummins is what your after then a 4bt is your only real choice if you still want to street it. And, even at that I have no idea if it will fit into a 2wd. For something as small as that I would look into the vw 4cyl turbo diesel. That swap is becoming popular in alot of vehicles. Extreme 4x4 put one in a samurai and ran it on veggie juice.

did you have to put a body lift to get the motor to fit so low in the frame?

Nope, just used the v8 conversion engine mount on the drivers side and the factory diesel mount on the right with a custom mount pad

Piss off. Is that understandable moron. It took 3 years to finish this truck. Not a pocket full of 20's. Hard work. Learn about it someday!!
