The reason you can't change how your items look is because the art design has gone downhill ever since vanilla, T1-3 looked amazing for the most part with some hard work put into it, the same can't be said for wotlk and CATA armor sets.
I wish blizzard could implement an appearance option, like we can keep the gear we work really hard for and still wear it and show it off, but still have the benefits of new expansion gear.

@Kalo2502 This seems like the most glaring omission in the game, honestly. EverQuest 2 not only has this, it has armor that exists entirely for the sake of appearance; many of them are quest or achievement awards. DC Universe does it even better than EQ2 does, as you can actually color customize it all too (oddly EQ1 has color dying but EQ2 does not).
Really liking Achievement hog! I'm in a big achievement mood lately, would be a good idea if you could cover the 'holiday' achievements like the lunar festival and love is in the air ones
Someone said earlier that TB's "sarcasm" might cut out some viewers if they get offended. I agree. I wouldn't call it sarcasm, because sarcasm implies he doesn't really believe what he's saying. What he does is more like soapboxing. Which is amusing, dgmw. I'm dry and cynical too, but even I think he goes too far with some topics. I like TB, I do, but he needs to keep in mind that not everything's that simple. Example, its not that people don't know how to join a guild, not everyone wants to.
The style lock is a good idea, but other faction players,always when you pvp actually,people have to see you in your normal gear because it's quite important in pvp, thumbs up if you think this is a good idea =)
I remember in wrath I had a badass belt and then I replaced it by the Belt of Frost Nova. it was the size of a whale on my worgen and i looked like a whore. I REALLLLYYYYY want that belt other belt back

@AFSKID All the different MMORPG's have glitches and bugs in the game. Some of the owners doesn't give a crap about the game and never update it with patches and such. It's common. If it weren't for the patching, World of Warcraft would be dead, no one would play it.

@negshUK I use Nittri's CleanUI. Looks pretty nice, but for some reason, only will track rep that you have currently gained, and will remain for only a few minutes, unless you are getting a constant gain (i.e.: Running BC dungeons for Thrallmar rep).

I'm not really mad, but I think that if you make a show, you should commit to it. If you're bored with wow or you are busy or anything, by all means cancel the show if you don't think you're up to it.
I like the achievment feature, but i would also like a pvp feature, it would be more entertaining to watch if u would shorten the mail segment and add another feature
It's very odd that they would take away "The Exalted" because as far as I'm aware, they left people with "The Explorer" as is when cata came out. Also, I completely agree with the style lock system. I always log out of my character in full t2 armor that I recently started running MC to pick up, just because i like looking at it.
@lookoutitsadragon You are correct, Explorer was still there, as well as Loremaster, Loremaster was very challenging to get Pre-Cata, and now its quite simple. I'm glad they didn't take it away though, I lost my exalted and now they made all the reputations other then Raid reputations very easy... And FYI MC drops tier 1... BWL drops tier 2
I think achievement hog is okay... just don't do world event achievements.. they've been exactly the same for years, if people can't figure them out now, they can always just ask someone they did. I don't want any love is in the air achievements on Azeroth Daily, because personally, I think it's a waste of time for most of the viewers. I think the best achievements are the ones that count for Glory of the hero / raider of cataclysm. Maybe also some guild achievements could be interesting too!

Brilliant new feature TB a possible recommendation if I may be so bold, a combo. Add Achievement Hog and Raid or Die ie achievemnts of the most diffcult bosses from old places being killed (something which can be done by five people nowadays) if it is possible it would be quite interesting
Achievement Hog is more entertaining to watch than or Die IMO. Please keep it alive, even after more raid encounters drop. It has a more broad appeal, I think. Thanks for the new segment! ^_^
Love the achievement hog feature! Your argument and Zakkari's for locking a player's appearance is something I have wished for often. (I am one of the female fashionistas) It seems like a huge opportunity for Blizzard to add something to the game, however I am worried that as great as this idea is, the development team won't consider it. A shame, really.
When my guild downed 25M LK for the first time, we brought 3 Warriors. Myself and two others. We all had the exact same gear. They only difference between us was our tabards, which looked awefully similiar.
You really shouldn't, getting that much money can be a real hastle for alot of people and if you spend all of it on a mount and have nothing left for repairs, gems, enchants etc. that would suck. Wait until you have a bit more where you can make it without being broke after.
One thing I just thought of is it might interfere with pvp. Idk about other people, but I do sometimes look at how the gear looks on my opponents in arena. Especially with stamina being normalized so that there's not much difference between pve and pvp gear, how it looks is a dead giveaway. Let's say you get two warriors, same health, one's in pve gear, one's in pvp gear...you shouldn't have to guess which one has more resilience, players who recognize the sets should be rewarded imo...

TB, I like the new segment, It helped me alot. I had alot fun with those achevements, i did them, after u gave the times. But i got a suggestions. Put 2 In-game achievements. and 2 Personal Achievement How -To's like. How to go 1-10 with ??? Race in ??? time. Like a way to get t11 fast. Becuz thx to PTR i no longer am interested in raiding for gear...... all the idiots in PTR and all. That and i can't find good guilds. and no more pugs in trade. The new segment seems pretty interesting and I know you're just starting out, but how about each week you look up achievements that have either the same basic theme (such as "do something special for this boss here") or are in the same general area? It'd make researching them a ton easier and less stressful.
Also, if you run out of ideas for general achievements, you could probably try asking your fanbase for achievements that they have trouble with.
The new feature is definitely nice. I admire TotalBIscuit for his ability to talk about something that personally he dislikes and finds distasteful, while remaining impartial and informative as well as entertaining.
a comment on the style lock, i recall a blue post saying if they did that then players wouldnt wear there shitty new gear with better stats. so really there reason is they dont want to have to make new gear look better. PURE LAZYNESS
Hey TB. Love the new segment! have you considered making a "how to" for the new heroic dungeon achievements. Some of them are quite hard and I'm sure there are loads of people out ther who would like some tips on how to get them.
I think what might be an interesting thing to wow might be if it had the same facial editing method from fo3 it would stop everybody from looking like an army of clones running around everywhere and possibly the same muscle thing from fable I always thought it seemed silly being this buff hero in the beginning that could be killed like a bug rather than being the part of thin adventurer earn your muscles levelling up lol no punctuation
The Style Locking thing is one of the greatest things I have ever heard of. I WAS going to complain, but forgot, as I always do. RPers will absolutely LOVE not having to farm something for hours just to get some stupid piece of gear for a set so they look acceptable. Also, almost ALL of the 85s in Cata and 80s in Wrath looked EXACTLY the same. What I would do is instantly get 2 one-handers and make them appear to be these 2 different level 50 one-handers. One was Red, one was Green, and matched.
I kept all of my old gear just so i can look cool back then. my teir 4 or teir 9, customizing gear completely might be to much bc some ppl might make it really hard to see what they used. like Somebody coloring themselfs Hot pink.. that would hurt my eye's alot.
not sure if its mentioned here, but u can use the tracker snacks (lk recipe shoveltusk flank +spice) to track beasts and turkeys, not sure if it still works but it did during the event atleast. helped loads for me atleast

I really like the Achievement Hog segment. Although I'm not an achievement whore it helps me when I DO want to do an achievement in the future. Maybe include the title of the achievements talked about in the video in the contents part of the description so we can find which achievement we want to look back on?
Anyways, a wardrobe would be nice too along with the pick styles. I'm sick of carrying all my pretty gear around in my bags. D:
hey TB i know you dont personaly read the youtube comments but i'd just like to say that i am personaly for being able to change your weapons/clothing design though this may create slight problems with people wearing crappy armour and discuising it as more powerfull armour.
i have personaly experienced that i have had a awesome scythe (yes a scythe because i love Soul Eater :P) but when i had gotten to a higher level i have had to change the weapon and i get a litle sad to have to part with it.

Achieve change - lame, just feat of str. the old version and make new ppl getting it require the 50.
Style thingy - Hell yeah, been saying it since vanilla. comic book style with class based options (to maintain class profile look for identification). Add in Achieves for collecting set pieces etc to use for style look later.
I had my dalaran cooking award count revoked when i had 98/100. Because it changed to all cooking awards. Why not make another award for all cooking awards? IDK but i feel i was cheated... i mean 2 more to go and i did get them in wrath it just didn't acknowledge them BECAUSE they were changing it. It got fixed with the patch but it also changed and i lost my progress. Opened a ticket and they told me it changed. FML. But anyways keep up the good work TB, love this show.And really like mailbox:)

Achievement Hog is more entertaining to watch than or Die IMO. Please keep it alive, even after more raid encounters drop. It has a more broad appeal, I think. Thanks for the new segment! ^_^

Love the achievement hog feature! Your argument and Zakkari's for locking a player's appearance is something I have wished for often. (I am one of the female fashionistas) It seems like a huge opportunity for Blizzard to add something to the game, however I am worried that as great as this idea is, the development team won't consider it. A shame, really.

When my guild downed 25M LK for the first time, we brought 3 Warriors. Myself and two others. We all had the exact same gear. They only difference between us was our tabards, which looked awefully similiar.

You really shouldn't, getting that much money can be a real hastle for alot of people and if you spend all of it on a mount and have nothing left for repairs, gems, enchants etc. that would suck. Wait until you have a bit more where you can make it without being broke after.

One thing I just thought of is it might interfere with pvp. Idk about other people, but I do sometimes look at how the gear looks on my opponents in arena. Especially with stamina being normalized so that there's not much difference between pve and pvp gear, how it looks is a dead giveaway. Let's say you get two warriors, same health, one's in pve gear, one's in pvp gear...you shouldn't have to guess which one has more resilience, players who recognize the sets should be rewarded imo...

TB, I like the new segment, It helped me alot. I had alot fun with those achevements, i did them, after u gave the times. But i got a suggestions. Put 2 In-game achievements. and 2 Personal Achievement How -To's like. How to go 1-10 with ??? Race in ??? time. Like a way to get t11 fast. Becuz thx to PTR i no longer am interested in raiding for gear...... all the idiots in PTR and all. That and i can't find good guilds. and no more pugs in trade. I'd like to see personal cheeves, in this new seg.

Don't know if you will eventually get this, but just a heads up, I was just chilling out levelling my alt in Felwood and I got tasked to go and scare some imps, and what they had me do was not exactly what i expected ! Its in the 2nd "camp" of the Felwood quests called "open their eyes"

The new segment seems pretty interesting and I know you're just starting out, but how about each week you look up achievements that have either the same basic theme (such as "do something special for this boss here") or are in the same general area? It'd make researching them a ton easier and less stressful.
Also, if you run out of ideas for general achievements, you could probably try asking your fanbase for achievements that they have trouble with.

a comment on the style lock, i recall a blue post saying if they did that then players wouldnt wear there shitty new gear with better stats. so really there reason is they dont want to have to make new gear look better. PURE LAZYNESS

I think what might be an interesting thing to wow might be if it had the same facial editing method from fo3 it would stop everybody from looking like an army of clones running around everywhere and possibly the same muscle thing from fable I always thought it seemed silly being this buff hero in the beginning that could be killed like a bug rather than being the part of thin adventurer earn your muscles levelling up lol no punctuation

The Style Locking thing is one of the greatest things I have ever heard of. I WAS going to complain, but forgot, as I always do. RPers will absolutely LOVE not having to farm something for hours just to get some stupid piece of gear for a set so they look acceptable. Also, almost ALL of the 85s in Cata and 80s in Wrath looked EXACTLY the same. What I would do is instantly get 2 one-handers and make them appear to be these 2 different level 50 one-handers. One was Red, one was Green, and matched.

I kept all of my old gear just so i can look cool back then. my teir 4 or teir 9, customizing gear completely might be to much bc some ppl might make it really hard to see what they used. like Somebody coloring themselfs Hot pink.. that would hurt my eye's alot.

not sure if its mentioned here, but u can use the tracker snacks (lk recipe shoveltusk flank +spice) to track beasts and turkeys, not sure if it still works but it did during the event atleast. helped loads for me atleast

Love the Achevment hog really apeeling to me (yes i might lean towards the whore category >.<) also must say that the post about the clothing is really good and i hope that blizz relises that that might actully be a really good ilde, me and my friends often complin to etchother about how we look the same all the time and that some cloths might not be the most apeeling... any how love the show and keep the good work going! (and a shout out too the helpfull ppl that reads the comments)

I really like the Achievement Hog segment. Although I'm not an achievement whore it helps me when I DO want to do an achievement in the future. Maybe include the title of the achievements talked about in the video in the contents part of the description so we can find which achievement we want to look back on?
Anyways, a wardrobe would be nice too along with the pick styles. I'm sick of carrying all my pretty gear around in my bags. D:

hey TB i know you dont personaly read the youtube comments but i'd just like to say that i am personaly for being able to change your weapons/clothing design though this may create slight problems with people wearing crappy armour and discuising it as more powerfull armour.
i have personaly experienced that i have had a awesome scythe (yes a scythe because i love Soul Eater :P) but when i had gotten to a higher level i have had to change the weapon and i get a litle sad to have to part with it.

Achieve change - lame, just feat of str. the old version and make new ppl getting it require the 50.
Style thingy - Hell yeah, been saying it since vanilla. comic book style with class based options (to maintain class profile look for identification). Add in Achieves for collecting set pieces etc to use for style look later.

I had my dalaran cooking award count revoked when i had 98/100. Because it changed to all cooking awards. Why not make another award for all cooking awards? IDK but i feel i was cheated... i mean 2 more to go and i did get them in wrath it just didn't acknowledge them BECAUSE they were changing it. It got fixed with the patch but it also changed and i lost my progress. Opened a ticket and they told me it changed. FML. But anyways keep up the good work TB, love this show.And really like mailbox:)

Concerning style locking, Blizzard has stated once that they want the players to be able to reckognize the strength of other ones, especially in PvP.

why dont blizz just make "hardcore" realms (and battle groupes) or something like that, so the ppl who want to be challenged can play on the harder realms and "casuals" can play on easy mode realms
