Create a game based off of a hugely popular RTS game with millions of fans already. Take that and add a low system requirement so everyone who has a computer back to an abacus can play it...and then make the game so easy that a 5-year-old can play it successfully to level 70. You do that, and you'll have an insanely popular game. Oh wait...it's been done already.

Now take WAR. The system reqs are decent, place a 5-year-old into the game and watch them get their ass handed to them.

what really wins me over for Warhammer in the way of out-of-game entertainment is paul. I play WoW, and you will never see them having a guy like him IN PERSON talk to the audience in a fun and exciting way....the most they did was digitally edit a talking gnome head over footage of their expansion's release date... Paul Barnett, you make Warhammer feel 10x as hospitable as WoW.

Warcraft is a differant version of what Warhammer could have been. It is the popular shit version that mythic did not want as their Warhammer Story. So basically, If Warhammer didnt exist WOW would not. Blizzard bought the passed down version and turned it into a pretty decent success i must admit, but Starcraft 2 is blizzards only hope now at success

When they heard about WARhammer online they begun to add in the horde races (remember how there was so much more for alliance on game launch?lawl). WoW is pve killing mob, raids etc. W.A.R will be more PvP orientated. LoTRO put me off cause u couldnt be evil. I think WoW is still only in the 8 million subscribers...otherwise blizz would make a bigger deal out of it. Imho i think i will like W.A.R better as it will be a more balanced game plus the expericence Mythic has with DAoC will give it more re-playability factor.

WoW has sold more than that anyways. That's the last-stated number of current subscribers many many months ago. The copies of the software counting in TBC is most likely near 10-15 million easily. I count in TBC since that's what the people who say the sims is the best selling game of all time do, they count in all of the spinoffs, expansions, new games.

C&C won't claim it, Warhammer 40,000 will. the Starcraft marines may look different than the WH40K Space Marines but the zerg are basically a derect copy of the Tyranids. but i'm still not sure if i'll play this, i like warhammer with items like Van Horstrums mirror, turns you puny wizard into a Chaos Champion. i know they won't have that though. i also like the global campaigns, i doubt whatever you do in WH online will affect the still continuing storyline

As an ex-WoW addict, I will tell you now that this game will be far superior. I used to love WoW because PvP was fun. That is no longer a fact anymore. They took all the fun out of it by making gear count more than skill. The "best" PvPers are the ones that PvP only about an hour a week and raid like crazy the rest. This game is going to be skill>>>>gear. Even though gear gives an edge, skill will count for much more.
