I'm headed to the "Wonder Con" that's, the Comic Book and Manga Convention that's held yearly at Moscone Center here in S.F.. I sure love to do something like this to as far as montage.
This was a very cool montage. I would've personally added a few more shots of both Japantown and Chinatown. And both the SFPD's Briant Street HQ with fleets of Crown Vic's and the SFFD's classic 1920's "Central Firehouse" with Engine One taking off in code 3.
I have a friend who was in the Navy stationed in Oakland and his friend call the San Francisco police, "the Streets". He would say, "watch out, here come the streets.LOL
keep it real san francisco aka the city is the shit but after being here over 25 years it time for something new... i'll always b a city baby but do but 10 on the 2... and this video was not all that the only thing that made it good was the city.
This is a great video. The shots capture what I think of as the essence of the city. it makes me feel like I've been there even though I haven't. The combo of the scenes and the terrific theme is just perfect!
Excellent job! I feel so fortunate to live in Northern California. I am a 90 minute drive from "The City" and will be there on Saturday just to kill some time since it will be a beautiful weekend. Now I will be humming "The Streets" theme when I am there! lol :-)
The series is coming back on CBS soon with new actors and plots ! I can't wait ! They were filming an episode to be shown in March , 2009 when I was on vacation there around Fisherman's Wharf a couple of weeks ago .
I like to dedicate this video to the brave men and women of the San Francisco Police Department , and for each one of them that wore the star in pride and never forsaken it . God bless those officers who gave their lives to protect us .
This TV show had a lot of guess stars on it that were relative unknowns like Tim Matheson , David Soul , John Ritter , Lynda Carter , Tony Musante , Tony Lo Bianco , Kevin Tighe , and Paul Sorvino .
The full title is "The Streets of San Francisco by the Prague Symphony Orchestra . you can maybe find it in any online record store , Limewire and even your local record store , who can also order it for you .
I went to high school in Dallas, 1975-79. The first 3 years, our band played "Streets of SF" at the football game. Really cool tune and could get you revved up when played by a kick ass band. Ny senior year, they quit playing "Streets" and went with the theme from "Dallas". Just wasn't the same but we were in Dallas, after all.
Great job! That was really cool. And kudos for the extended version of the theme song. I've always liked the song, but hearing this version makes me appreciate it even more.
That's funny! Those titles of the episodes always make me laugh. They're so ridiculous the way they always work in the word "Murder" and the announcer always makes it sound so ominous. I wouldn't be surprised if "Lights, Camera, Murder" was really a title of a Quinn Martin production.
I ripped it off from Chris Elliot on David Letterman, He did a spoof action show called "The Regulator Guy" or "The Fugitive Guy" and that was the title of one of the episodes.
Whenever I see something Quin-Martinesque I use it!!
Nice job. "The Steets of San Francisco" was one of the best cop shows of the 1970's; I think it's still better than a lot of what's come out since then.
And Karl Malden is excellent as Lt. Mike Stone. What a lot of today's actors lack is theatrical training which Malden brought to the small screen nicely.
WAIT A MINUTE!!! Go to 1:41-1:43 and look at the sign on the side of the cable car or trolley. It says "Bloomingdales Opening 9-28-06". How can this be from the 1970's????
I was in San Francisco in May 2006 for 2 days before a cruise to Alaska...I stayed in the Cathedral Hotel next to "Tommys Joint", excellent food, excellent city!
Great Pat Williams theme, non-stop visuals on the beginning. The pilot was EXCELLENT with Robert Wagner sporting some very groovy lookin' hair as the suspect in the murder of a girl he'd met at a party (Kim Darby's great line: "What's a David Farr?"). Best Episode: "45 Minutes from Home" from the first season, when William Windom gets framed for murdering a girl to whom he'd given a ride.
I am from there and my dad was a cop in San Francisco . He met Karl Malden and Michael Douglas as they were taking a break filming an episode inside the Hall of Justice in 1974 .
i know somebody who took some pictures of michael douglas brenda vaccaro and larry hagmen in a park in san franchisco wasnt there a comedian on ed sullivan that sang i left my heart in sanfranchisco or sampansdisco
Excellent only 2 things missing were a car jumping one of the hills and the graphic "A Quinn Martin Production!" I was looking for Karl Malden you did a great job.
If the TV series were remade , who would you like to play Lt . Stone and Inspector Keller ? My choices would be Ed O ' Neil ( Lt. Mike Stone ) , and Benjamin Bratt ( Inspector Steve Keller ) .
superbe sound! I ❤ SF - my fave U.S. city!
