  • superbe sound! I ❤ SF - my fave U.S. city!

  • Jealous!

  • Una ciudad muy bella, me gustaría ir y conocerla

  • AWESOME !

(I broadcast it on my blog)

  • Nice remake but still can't compare to the 70's.

  • I'm headed to the "Wonder Con" that's, the Comic Book and Manga Convention that's held yearly at Moscone Center here in S.F.. I sure love to do something like this to as far as montage.

  • This was a very cool montage. I would've personally added a few more shots of both Japantown and Chinatown. And both the SFPD's Briant Street HQ with fleets of Crown Vic's and the SFFD's classic 1920's "Central Firehouse" with Engine One taking off in code 3.

  • I have a friend who was in the Navy stationed in Oakland and his friend call the San Francisco police, "the Streets". He would say, "watch out, here come the streets.LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Alameda.

  • Thank You sir!. I grew up just inside the valley here in Tracy. I was never sure what the Navy used "Rough and Ready" for out here in Stockton for.

  • keep it real san francisco aka the city is the shit but after being here over 25 years it time for something new... i'll always b a city baby but do but 10 on the 2... and this video was not all that the only thing that made it good was the city.

  • San Francisco aka "The City" is an awesome place! Although, lately with all the rain, it seems like Seattle weather :(

  • I live at Geary and Taylor across from the Monaco Hotel and the guy who stands on his head on a cup in this video says thanks for putting him

  • Bellissimo video, bellissima città..la citta' delle mie carissime serie: starsky e hutch, Le strade di San Francisco. =)

  • LOL thats was funny

  • a went sanfrancisco on sept 06, always wanted to go there, the place is FANTASTIC...

  • RIP Karl Malden...great tv show and great actor..

  • RIP Karl Malden

  • I went to San francisco and LA in 06 and I prefered San Francisco!

  • this is brilliant!i so want to go there....all of my fave t.v shows and films were made there

  • This is a great video. The shots capture what I think of as the essence of the city. it makes me feel like I've been there even though I haven't. The combo of the scenes and the terrific theme is just perfect!

  • Who ever shot this vedio did a great job!!

  • Excellent job! I feel so fortunate to live in Northern California. I am a 90 minute drive from "The City" and will be there on Saturday just to kill some time since it will be a beautiful weekend. Now I will be humming "The Streets" theme when I am there! lol :-)

  • That was actually pretty good...

  • It's a bit like countryside, isn't it?

  • im glad im in ca!

  • i've got this version.

  • is there a more beautiful city in the world?

  • Ask a native !:) But the crime sucks !:(

  • The series is coming back on CBS soon with new actors and plots ! I can't wait ! They were filming an episode to be shown in March , 2009 when I was on vacation there around Fisherman's Wharf a couple of weeks ago .

  • whos the cast

  • I love san Francis

  • Great job on the theme !

  • I like to dedicate this video to the brave men and women of the San Francisco Police Department , and for each one of them that wore the star in pride and never forsaken it . God bless those officers who gave their lives to protect us .

  • This TV show had a lot of guess stars on it that were relative unknowns like Tim Matheson , David Soul , John Ritter , Lynda Carter , Tony Musante , Tony Lo Bianco , Kevin Tighe , and Paul Sorvino .

  • The video is great and the music is awesome! What is the full title? Who performs it? Please help! How can I get it?

  • The full title is "The Streets of San Francisco by the Prague Symphony Orchestra . you can maybe find it in any online record store , Limewire and even your local record store , who can also order it for you .

  • I went to high school in Dallas, 1975-79. The first 3 years, our band played "Streets of SF" at the football game. Really cool tune and could get you revved up when played by a kick ass band. Ny senior year, they quit playing "Streets" and went with the theme from "Dallas". Just wasn't the same but we were in Dallas, after all.

  • cut!!!...cut!!!...are those 2 waitin at the bus stop gay?. Redo it!!!, I mean Take 3

  • The music: a masterpiece, a first form of originality.

  • Great job! That was really cool. And kudos for the extended version of the theme song. I've always liked the song, but hearing this version makes me appreciate it even more.

  • TONIGHT'S EPISODE:

    Lights!

    Camera!

    Murder!

  • That's funny! Those titles of the episodes always make me laugh. They're so ridiculous the way they always work in the word "Murder" and the announcer always makes it sound so ominous. I wouldn't be surprised if "Lights, Camera, Murder" was really a title of a Quinn Martin production.

  • Thanks but........

I ripped it off from Chris Elliot on David Letterman, He did a spoof action show called "The Regulator Guy" or "The Fugitive Guy" and that was the title of one of the episodes.

Whenever I see something Quin-Martinesque I use it!!

  • the Buena Vista, amazing Irish Coffees...strong suckers

  • I Love Da Cable Car!!!!

  • I loved this series and especially the extended theme song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice job. "The Steets of San Francisco" was one of the best cop shows of the 1970's; I think it's still better than a lot of what's come out since then.

And Karl Malden is excellent as Lt. Mike Stone. What a lot of today's actors lack is theatrical training which Malden brought to the small screen nicely.

The original theme was classic as well...

  • I LOVE MY CITY,ALWAYS WILL

  • Raaaaaad!

  • ca is amazing

  • I dream about moving back-forth NY-SF, but when I see all these tourist-traps I realize that I'm probably going to stick it out here.

...sylvester of times square (and once, The Tenderloin)

  • Where did you get the extended version of the theme?

  • I think that is the City of Prague Orchestra-they do a lot of U.S. TV themes over.

  • I didn't know there was a version of this theme that ran over three minutes, perhaps that's how it was originally composed.

  • patrick williams had an lp called threshold some of the music was published in a down beat annual

  • Prague Orchestra is fantastic. The Absolutely bring it with a version of Mission Impossible

  • great travelogue. I was born and raised in San Francisco.

  • Looks like the 70's final grew up with this video. Cool newer version of the Streets of S.F..

  • its not - theres a 2993 Caprice classic as a SFPD car at :07 the poster just said he edited himself

  • Correct. The TV show is from the 70s. This video is from 2006!

  • It's a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria .

  • WAIT A MINUTE!!! Go to 1:41-1:43 and look at the sign on the side of the cable car or trolley. It says "Bloomingdales Opening 9-28-06". How can this be from the 1970's????

  • Did anyone see the episode with Leslie Nielson in it called " Until I Die " ?

  • Very very good indeed!

I was in San Francisco in May 2006 for 2 days before a cruise to Alaska...I stayed in the Cathedral Hotel next to "Tommys Joint", excellent food, excellent city!

  • Zowweeeee! What a blast!!!!! Its the best opening scene!!! PS. I live on Russian Hills....

  • fucking hot sound !!!!!!!

  • great city and it shines beauty. from italy

  • Great Pat Williams theme, non-stop visuals on the beginning. The pilot was EXCELLENT with Robert Wagner sporting some very groovy lookin' hair as the suspect in the murder of a girl he'd met at a party (Kim Darby's great line: "What's a David Farr?"). Best Episode: "45 Minutes from Home" from the first season, when William Windom gets framed for murdering a girl to whom he'd given a ride.

  • Who's the artist who recorded this version of the original show theme ?

  • I'll have to dig out my old computer to find who did this version - sorry I cannot remember...

There's also a funky version by The Lovejoys "And You Don't Stop" on iTunes.

  • Very very nice vid of San Francisco...Just like actually being there!!! Good job!

  • I am from there and my dad was a cop in San Francisco . He met Karl Malden and Michael Douglas as they were taking a break filming an episode inside the Hall of Justice in 1974 .

  • That is VERY cool! Coincidentally, just happened to buy the 1st season DVD set which recently came out and watched the pilot episode tonight.

  • i know somebody who took some pictures of michael douglas brenda vaccaro and larry hagmen in a park in san franchisco wasnt there a comedian on ed sullivan that sang i left my heart in sanfranchisco or sampansdisco

  • Excellent only 2 things missing were a car jumping one of the hills and the graphic "A Quinn Martin Production!" I was looking for Karl Malden you did a great job.

  • his real name is malden segoulavich he says his name sometimes in the dialog like that gun was a segoulavich

  • Too bad you only shot the most tourist ridden spots of SF.

  • Awesome! Woulds love to see the episode with Arnold Schwarzeneggar in it.

  • Great vidio love to see more vidios of sanfrancisco.

  • WTF is this??? i expected to see mavericks,volkswagen bugs,chevy novas and such,not hondas,minivans and suv,s

  • COOL!!!!

  • do you have an MP3 version of the song ?

  • Great job on the theme !

  • nice clip! Hey, I now live in this greatest city in the USA!!! Uh, you know where I live.. On Green Street, yeah, on Green street. See ya!!! Anne

  • Very Niice! I used to watch that show as a kid. I wouldn't catching the series on DVD if it is available.

  • How cool is that! .... That is very cool!! :)

  • that was coo but ut cut out like 60 percent of the city

  • If the TV series were remade , who would you like to play Lt . Stone and Inspector Keller ? My choices would be Ed O ' Neil ( Lt. Mike Stone ) , and Benjamin Bratt ( Inspector Steve Keller ) .

  • 1) Take the music a half-step up!

    2) You GOTTA have those horn vamps on the bridge!

    Nice rendition, though!

  • Nice work!
