  • I love how this turned out! I may try this on my loose hair. I can't stand how my twists look (they are too skinny), so I don't do mini twists to wear out in public. I wish my twists puffed up & looked fuller :(

  • I did this style last week on my twist extensions and received a lot of compliments! Thank you so much for the tutorial!!!

  • Soror, that is one good looking hair do! Thanks for sharing. Skee-weee

  • You are so right by redoing the sides! Keep making videos pleaaaase!!! :D

  • I love it!

  • Very cute and creative!

  • I saw you in essence magazine in the ad for jamacain lime and mango products. Congrats

  • I may try this tomorrow with my genie locks. It was so hot down today. Thanks!

  • its alot of tisting but i love your makeup♥♥√♥W♥☻♥♥♥♥33!♥♥♥♥

  • No matter how professional you make your natural hair look, they will never understand and act as if you're trying to make a radical political statement thus making you somewhat "intimidating" and threatening. The very sad thing is that, we get this from our own people! Perms should not be the norm, it should not be a mandatory solution to what God naturally gave us.

  • @boucoupthick504 you can be natural, educated, professional, work, and make a good living.

  • very cute and professional! Great tutorial, thank you!

  • I cant wait to try this! Thanks:)

  • You don't even have to have twists to do this style!!

  • I love You. This is so beautiful. As a young mommy, full time student, and worker, I barely have time to do my hair. This style effortless.and just what I was looking for.

  • I know this is not a workout vid but I wanted to know how many days of the week do u workout and for how long (time)? Ur hair is awesome!!

  • love it!!! BTW did you blow your hair out b4 twisting??!!

  • Love this style. How is work going? I will be trying this style when I twist my hair soon.

  • pretty girl in pearls! and i love the eye makeup ;)

  • I love your hair keep the vids coming honey!

  • I recently subscribed to you channel because I kept hearing about your channel. I see why now, I love you tutorials, they are easy to understand and beautiful styles. Thanks!

  • I appreciate you showing how you "cleaned up" the look. So many people do exactly what you said, show the basic technique and cut away to finished style without showing how they got there. Trying this today.

  • Absolutely Beautiful! I will rock this style to the office for sure!

  • looooooooooove this style

  • How many twist would you say you have in your hair. I always find myself getting lazy when it come to wearing small twists. Howver I thinkI like the idea of braiding then twisting. Also, how oftern do you add water to your hair in this state

  • Super cute!! I like this style a lot...i like to wear similar styles when I go to work

  • Tooo cute, gurl:)

  • Cute style, though I think if those side braids were curled or secured in place they would not look so out of place. Keep the videos coming. Great tutorial. What classes do you teach?

  • The side curls look a little lopsided and stick out a bit much. Just my opinion. Perhaps you can curl them or something? But other than that, you've done it again! Another rockin' but classy updo!

  • So beautiful and elegant. Yes, updos do well in the office. Thanks!

  • As usual you've helped me to add yet another protective style to my repetoire! Love ya young lady!

  • Simply put. That is so nice. =)

  • This looked so cute. It looks amazing when all of it is up. It looked a bit more polished that way. Love your videos

  • Hola! I hope you will do your relationship vlog soon :)

you promised! Can't wait! thanks so much. Maybe you can talk about your experiances and how you moved on. That would help sooo much. Gracias!

  • Cute, you try it with your side curl. I think it would make even more polish.

  • Very cute style. I would either curl the twists that are hanging down on the sides, or put them up along with the rest of the hair... very lovely though. :)

  • I like how you put "professional" in quotations. LOL. I love it, but those stringy pieces make all of your tucking in vain. But if you like it, I love it.

  • i LOVE your theme song! lol

  • I wear the same little hairs on the side and I am dying for them to get longer!! Nice style!!

  • Lovely! About how many twists are there?

  • Cute style but as far as the 2 side pieces, have you ever thought of rodding them so it doesn't just stick out like that?? That way it would look more polished...

  • This is awesome! I have locs and I always 2 strand twist them! This is a good updo for locs as well! LOVE IT!

  • @bolinga27 BBBD has a FB fan page she told us this morning it was child something 2 graduate students i remember. she updates that OFTEN just 2 give u a heads up on where 2 keep updated on her. hope that helps u some :) and im with u i love the nappyheaded professional series too it really helps me with my transitioning to natural hair. i see that i can look professional without bone straight hair or weave (not knocking weave or perms)

  • Very cute, you look like Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. I will have to try this!

  • @BeautifulBrwnBabydol,

I miss your Nappy headed professional series. We want to hear about your first day on the job...I believe if I remember correctly that you mentioned beginning on the 29th August. I feel short changed here :) I want to know more about your journeys and where you will be teaching. There may be persons who are interested in studying with you and it would help if you said where you're teaching at chica. Be blessed!

  • @bolinga27 I promise to dedicate one to you this week! :-)

  • @bolinga27 I agree! I'm also looking to enter a PhD program and prayerfully become a professor soon. You're a great role model and I appreciate any tips you offer in terms of professionalism, your particular career, and how you found a job so fast in such a terrible job market :) Thanks! Looking forward to the professionalism series. I'm gonna try this style at an upcoming conference I'm going to :)

  • Very pretty! As I watched you, and saw the results, I thought, "Nice updo for a bride-to-be". What do you think? LOVE YOU SIS! BE BLESSED! ♥

  • This is gorgeous, will be trying it out soon!

  • Very pretty Dr. Nina :)

  • Looks great!! Keep rocking it =)
