  • Anyone of you idiots know where our electricity comes from? You guys are morons. This car sucks down more precious resources than any gas engine. Its a double wammy of resources used up to make the batteries and the fossil fuels it sucks down through the electric grid to FOR FUEL!!! 90% of all electricity in America comes from oil, nat gas, and coal. If these are lithium batteries lithium is in short supply and there is nowhere near enough to make electric cars for everyone.

  • yes the car dosent run on gas.. but, how much poluton is going into the air from making all those batteries? no one thinks of this!

  • my Bugatti SS hits 8 second !!!

  • Weak!!! Try racing a fast car. That crappy thing is only running slow cars.

  • you can tell by the way the gas cars launch, they are launching very slow.

  • I wanted build one If I have the time and money, just to have fun with those cars at work arguing over their trans am vs. civic. I have my electric sleeper honda blow them both away. Betting title for title. Vanity my favorite sin. I would build one if I could, and have the know how. It would be rewarding, and fun, and no to mention the savings in gas. I thought of converting to CNG, but electric has the speed. A great sleeper car. Good video.

  • You guys are fucking dumb. saying the gasoline powered cars were crappy. Electric engines have MUCH higher torque than gasoline powered ones thus allowing them to accelerate very fast. However the combustion of gasoline results in greater power over a long distance giving them a better top speed than electrics. Dragon rage bitches. do your research first

  • @shadoDaishi Idiot! Research? The goddamn title says "Drag Race."

  • I like the blue skys and dislike forign oil, however; I love the roar of an engine and smell of fumes

  • if you all look carefully you'll notice all the internal combustion cars he is racing are lowsy racers, none of them are pushing hard off the line, they are sandbagging it to make the electric car look good,, nice try though

  • @RattlerX5150

Every race you can find on Youtube between an EV and a gas vehicle has the same outcome. Check out the Wrightspeed X1 drag racing videos. It might offend you, but electric motors simply have unbeatable torque. If it comforts you, they can't match the overall top speed of gas just yet, but they definitely have the edge in acceleration and always will.

  • @RattlerX5150 i disagree, but perhaps ur right...what about the quarter mile times though...are they also sandbagged in your opinion?

  • Lol, yeah, environmentally friendly battery acid

  • @daveescape01 At least we're not at war over battery acid.

  • @daveescape01

    Lithium batteries don't contain acid.

  • yeah, he's like sooo enviromental friendly, while fuel engines cause lots of "nasty things". I wonder if he has ever thought about where electricity comes from and what an awful lot of "nasty" powerplants would be needed if everyone would drive an electric car. i still prefer co2 over loads of nuclear waste.

  • @corri303 That's only an issue with older reactor designs. New travelling wave reactors/breeder reactors don't have the waste problem that older reactor designs do. If you want huge quantities of power and very little polution or waste, nuclear is the best choice when building new plants and will likely remain so for decades.

  • @corri303

Google "MIT wheel to well analysis of EVs". Because electric motors make very efficient use of energy, they consume less per mile than gas engines, and are therefore responsible for much less pollution on a per-mile basis. 85% efficiency versus 15%.

  • @Zamboro i have to be honest, i didnt do any research but i know about efficieny on electric and gas engines, and i don't think that we can handle the necessary power consumption on an enviromental friendly basis, if everyone would drive electric. let alone the huge amount of batteries, that'll be problematic waste noone talks about.

then ... when i read stuff like "zero emission" (ktm electric bike claimed so) it makes me wanna vomit...

  • @corri303

Are you open to doing any research? Because in fact the question of whether the grid can handle the added load has been investigated and addressed. Google "Can grid handle plug in", and pick any of the results you consider credible. The batteries are lithium, not NiMH or lead acid and therefore not based on toxic heavy metals, and hydraulically extruded rather than smelted, meaning no toxic waste when they are disposed of and few emissions when they are manufactured and recycled.

  • Cancer?! You was cool till the bollocks came out with at 3:51 .

  • guys plz chill out, times keep a changin LMAO, lm 42, old skool but this is impressive, TIMES R A CHANGIN

  • One question... where does the guy on the bike keep his balls?

  • Real Cars Use Fuel!!!

  • @99boyz , god knows wat is in the future, thing is that lm really pissed that lm old already & gonna miss all the mad futuristic stuff !!! go guys U FUKIN NERDS WONT BEAT 3.83 Q ml, then again mayb u will

  • Im not at all an environmentalist, but this if pretty freaking cool.

  • As long as the government and the oil companies are in bed together, this will never be widespread. I would just love to have an electric car like this, it's incredibly awesome, but we won't be seeing them rolling off the assembly line in droves any time soon as long as the fat cats are still making money from selling us antiquated means of transportation that the ignorant masses blindly accept.

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

  • You know what's really messed up. Nikola Tesla invented the electric motor over 120 years ago.. They even had electric Carriages. And even then they had over 30 hp.. and the gas had 10 hp, and very loud.. ITs all about the politics. We could have been using electric motors for vehicles for ages now. But congress is bought out by the big companies and its just all down hill from there.

  • The electricity could be totally clean... if only we would demand MACHINE MADE concentrating solar arrays and batteries.

That, then would also give us hundreds of thousands of sq mi of installation jobs, which is the only profitable way out of the apparently planned global economic mess.

I dramatize this fact... search "oil storm solar"

  • Awesome car! Electric motors and their instantanious torque :D

  • what i wanna know is where can i buy all the componets to build a car like this

  • tht muscle car was close to having the torque tht he said gas cars wud never have and im positive it didnt have a supercharge

  • It's like a trolleybus against a diesel locomotive

  • The model t only got about 10 to 12 mpg but look at cars now. I can see the electric car being able to travel further and faster soon

  • "Never put out one ounce of air pollution"...because that electricity was created by MAGIC, right?

Dumbassed reporters. The carbon footprint of gasoline at $125/barrel oil price is less than electricity.

  • @CalicoatMaker If that electricity in the car was the product of a set of solar panels on the roof of a house, the carbon footprint for that electricity would be a BIG FAT ZERO. Now who looks like the DUMB ASS.

  • That's a blanket statement that depends completely on how the electricity was generated..... or, I am I missing something?

  • I'd like to see this upgraded to Supercapacitors. Will increase instant output AND recharge in 1/50th the time

  • If i had a manual electric car, that would be good fun

  • @gm556 Kind of impossible, unless you want to lose a lot of your power by adding a gearbox.

  • WHAT A POS... yeah lets strip a car of all its interior and pass if off as a "street car" .. theres nothing street about it, its a race car

its not camouflaged to look ordinary, it has alot of stickers on it, like a race car..

  • this is my dream car! it used to be a ford gt, but i learned it had just had an f1 truck engine in it, so now its this. Anyone can buy a car, but one uniqe like this, is somthing speacal.

  • It's just simple physics. Electric cars have less moving parts and converts energy more efficiently into mechanical energy. The internal combustion engine is obsolete, a total waste. People just hold onto it because it makes sexy noises.

  • Why aren't we building the self charging (self-sustaining) automobile?

  • @heartlessvietboy

The reason why we are still stuck in the stone age in terms of automobiles is because there is a government sponsored fossil fuels cartel that wants to reap massive profits. The moment we stop subsidizing oil and coal and stop kill brown people for oil, we will see cars develop into the future

  • What is subsidizing oil?

  • @takadi No, its becausxe its not the GOVERNMENTS JOB to tax the hell out of companies in order to give them money for research. PROFIT drives all R&D because theres a PAYOUT for the gamble. I'm an industrial electrician and an engineer in an R&D lab, I know what works and what doesnt. Stop believing morons like Alex Jones who lies about how electricity "secretly works". Why wouldnt Shell/Exxon want profits from ALT fuels? Your statement is STUPID. BTW, they fund 30% of ALT fuel tech, so STFU

  • @CalicoatMaker

    shut the fuck up troll

  • @takadi Talk about waste heat, if you took a gas engine and ran it even in sub zero temps without a radiator it would over heat and seas-up. That is an example of how much of the energy in the gas that is not making it to the wheels and is instead lofting into the air as wasted heat never to regained. Funny, 85% of every dollar put into the tank goes to heating the air outside the car. Most people don't know or don't care, and the oil companies love it.

  • But the most green people use cars that are run by upgraded biogas.

  • IF YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO RECHARGE THE BATTERIES WHILE YOU DRIVE WOULD THAT KILL THE DEMAND TO RECHARGE EVERY NIGHT??? HOW ABOUT RUNNING A TWIN MOTOR TO THE REAR TIRES AND LEAVE THE FRONT TOTALLY FOR BATTERY STORAGE AND ACCESSORY DRIVE SYSTEM... I WANT TO TURN MY 1987 TOYOTA SUPRA IN TO AN E.V... I THINK THAT WOULD BE AN INTERESTING PROJECT

  • EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE AN ELECTRIC CAR. COME ON PEOPLE HELP THE ENVIRONMENT. HELP YOURSELF!!!

  • can you put convert pick up truck too, I am willing to pay

  • This guy is cool as hell. I've seen him in the morning while I was commuting to work via I-205 West.

  • Bad ass and even more that it's a datsun!

  • Very impressive .... period

  • Yoy can do the same with a jeep 4 door?

  • How does burning coal to provide the electricity to power this thing clean the air??

  • @TR930 Ever heard of solar panels or windmills?

  • @TR930 even using coal power plant to charge the car it pollutes less then a v8 sports cars that he is racing next to on the street or the strip.

  • @TR930

Burning fuel at a power plant is much more efficient in terms of energy conversion than having millions of mini internal combustion engines.

  • @TR930

Easy, electric motors are 85% efficient versus the 15% efficiency of internal combustion engines. So on a per-mile basis, they consume vastly less energy, and therefore are responsible for less pollution per mile. Even when charged from dirty sources, because they use so much less, they are responsible for less pollution. It's counter-intuitive, but the math works out. Google "MIT wheel to well analysis of EVs".

  • @TR930 i don't know how things work in your country, but were i live, the electricity brings a chart showing were the electricity came from, gues what? no coal. 97% clean energy (mostly hidric and eolic), 3% imported nuclear eclectricity. Burning coal cmon man...

  • hmm let me think how u think he got his electricity . . . that is right power from the race way. but wait the race way gets their power from a coal burning power making plant so yer

  • @DJCorruptExecution O.K. if we have to figure electicity going back to the coal, then you have to figure gasoline back to the oil well. Still cleaner any way you look at it. Even the skeptics agree on that one. But an electric car will do 100 miles on 2 to 3 dollars worth of electricity. How far does gasoline take you on 2 to 3 dollars.

  • This is cool and fun. When I can get 300 miles to a charge and recover that charge in 5 minutes or less, the car will become practical for me. meet that and make it affordable and I will buy it.

  • @KeeperofTheMountain Most of us do not do 300 miles in a day, and park our cars within a few feet of an electrical outlet while we sleep at night. Most of us do not do that much driving.

  • @jason1973tl I drove from Seattle to Spokane yesterday and today I return. That is over 600 miles in two days. This is not uncommon for me. I wish it was less expensive and easier on the environment. An electric car would be cool but, they cannot do this yet. It took me 5 minutes to gas up. Most people do not drive like this. I need to.

  • First gas car had 22 hp, how impracticable was that?

  • They didn't say what the length of the charge is, this would be great if one could travel 100 miles on a charge.

  • Not wanting to race I'm interested in this electric engine, would this setup work installed in a 04 Silverado pick up ? if you want electric vehicles instead of gas then I think having our pickup trucks on electric would be great.

  • Wow a 300hp electric motor, I wonder where he got that and what are the exact spec on that. I would be interest in making an electric Delorean. Imagine a rear engine car that actually had the traction to fully utilize the instant full power and torque of an electric motor.

  • @AlexusDivine Not sure if you got a reply yet, but he is using two 8 inch series dc electric motors spliced together on the same shaft. Check out Netgain Warp motors. That is what he is using. Any series dc electric motor wil do the same, but the Warp motors are designed to handle up to 192 volts now.

  • Electricity might not have a negative impact on the environment, but the means of producting it does. A 12 second quarter miles isn't amazing. With all of the money put into electrical parts and batteries I could build a motor for this car that would run faster than that. Wind power is great, but there is oil that goes into the gearbox, internal combustion engine equipment used during construction of a wind farm, and alot of maintenance dollars associated with a wind turbine. Think about it.

  • "oh electric isn't as clean as you think...." BLOW IT OUT YOUR EAR. Vehicle emissions are literally killing people. And, since you are that stupid, I'll inform you that there is a national BACK LOG of companies applying for solar licenses to open up solar electric plants. Yes there are so many, that the agency that overseas them is swamped.

So blow it out your ear, because you have no idea what you're talking about. Global warming is a farce, but reducing POLLUTION is a ok in my book

  • @shakaama if global warming is a farce, how do you explain the melting of the ice caps? have you seen Home or Planet Earth? Even the Himalayan Glaciers are disappearing and major rivers are drying up.

  • @misau37 there is no melting of the ice caps. i deal in actual data not al gore's doctored movie that showed ice caps melting, when they very next month everything was twice as frozen. deal in data and not what a politician tries to sell you.

go get some data sweetie then come back to me, ok?

  • @shakaama

You may be right, but environmental destruction is still a horrible problem.

  • @xitriz the immediate local environmental threats that are already directly impacting humans is far more prevalent and threatening than any imagined global warming hoax. Car pollution that is kept close to the ground and renders some folks incapable of leaving their house or threatens their immediate health is far more important and needs to resolved more quickly than a power plant. There are millions of gas cars. And, they are polluting by the tonnes. California air is brown with smog :(

  • I think a lot of people forget we have to burn coal or other fuels to produce electricity....its not as clean as people think

  • @hotwheelz28 except for Hydro, wind, solar etc.

  • @hotwheelz28

It is still much cleaner, since Wind is a energy source, u dont have to produce coal, and the producing of electricity can be much cleaner if the companies are just willing to pay some extra money.

  • Joe Biden claimed that the $862 Billion failed stimulus ($400 remains unspent) “created or saved” 750,000 jobs. Economists don’t recognize jobs saved, and the jobs saved may have been keep local agencies afloat. When the money ran out, the people lost their jobs. Currently States are considering filing bankruptcy for spending. watch?v=IqmeT5ykKf0

The Govt owns 61% of GM, GOOGLE, “GM's electric-car fantasy running out of gas” and read links. The Green Movement should be free market driven

  • I love how they show the Diesel trucks when they start talking about polution, even though the Diesel trucks putout 1/10 of the polution they did 20 years ago.

  • this is so cool

  • Cleaner for the air? You're just burning coal instead of gas...

  • I would like to offer a simple statement to all of you who would dare applaud a change in course, a new concept, a new way to get ourselves down the road. NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING that comes along, will appease the naysayers. They are there and they have the pulpit known as a computer and an internet connection buried away in a dark room. That is where they thrive. Show me any possible advancement away from the catastrophe we are now in and I will show you naysayers!! Ignore the idiots!

  • i wonder how far it would run distance-wise say at 55mph??

  • Where do you think the amps come from???!!!...nuclear...oil-burning...then if you talk about hydo, the treehuggers come out of the woodwork...(but it 's still pretty cool!)

  • Online latian women for dating **busizz4me.info**

  • can someone tell me please what electric motor is on that car ? and what batteries ? and prices if someone can tell me... pleas HELP ! thx.

  • For all of you thinking that electric cars don't cause polution: The added strain on the electrical grid from millions of electric cars charging will require more power plants to be built adding to the demand for coal to power the plants which will add to the demand for mining equipment ect... ect... ect...

  • @Whitehorze That may be true . But another thing they are working to perfect is nuclear fusion. When they get it right , electricity will become so cheap that you could never turn your lights off in your house . Imagine walls in your house that act like a tv screen , or houses that are smart and able to commune with you .

  • @bockydo I am. utube@com/watch?v=L4JUJhkpc3I

  • @freemanbrook

    NO

    POWER

    DENSITY

Sorry, I happen to be good at math.

  • John's a great guy, heard him interviewed before. He was one of the inspirations for me to convert my own car to electricity.

  • envirement... dont care,.. its fast and i want it! ^^

  • i would really like to know what the electric engine is called.

  • Geez...nit pick and magnify the irrelevant and ignore the obvious. Some of you here must be investors in big oil eh. Figures. Well there is no law preventing people from converting over to this BETTER way of powering cars and their homes. Wallow in your black soot....electricity is forever....however the oil barrels and wells run dry. Then you will be singing a different tune. PFFT!!!

  • I want one !!! Please my birhday is soon :)))

  • I wish there was an electric corvette hahahahaha.

  • @xXRoobieXx build it

  • ohhh i want one!!!

  • Because I've always needed a drag racer.

  • how many people need a drag racer anyway?

  • Sorry, but your car is NOT a green car.

Producing those fancy lithium batteries polutes the air a lot more and eats waaay more gas than those fossil-fuel cars you are racing against.

The cost to produce those batteries says it all about the energy put into production, the polution created to mine all that lithium or nickel, to transport it all aroud the globe and so on.

  • @flaviandd Are those fossil fuel cars are all made of organic hemp, like Henry Ford's first model T? Are you scared of the popping sound if you pull your head out of your ass?

  • @Candoract - you should try that with yours

I already have an engine that runs on water: watch?v=CJLgv20LEF8

  • ac or dc????

  • He said no pollutants what is a burn out just saying

  • The thing thats always a letdown with these is the engine doesnt roar, even when it out-accelerates a ferarri :(

Oh well, maybe when these things can go 1 - 300 km in 5 seconds, you'll hear some real rubber burning.

  • @0hypnotoad0 You could always fit one of those "V8 sound" devices they sell on EBay! :-)

  • @freemanbrook less than half the energy used to make gasoline, and to get it to your local pump bro

  • Awesome want to build one.

  • Awesome want to build one.

  • Diesel up 25% in 18 months in the UK to £1.24 per litre

  • @freemanbrook The move comes as BMW, the luxury car leader, announced plans to debut an electric-powered vehicle by 2015. Mercedes' approach differs because it is working on developing batteries rather than engines.

  • @freemanbrook There's also the investment for the Subaru G4e in Tokyo, and there's more.

  • @freemanbrook The Daimler luxury car unit will spend $1.4 billion in each of the next two years to develop electric-vehicle technology, Weber said in an interview with a Bloomberg reporter at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. The company spent just $769 million annually for the past three years.

Weber said the company was working on batteries that could last at least 10 years and handle driving in extreme conditions. The company also announced this week that it will develop electric cars for China...

  • @freemanbrook Then you have to add to that the losses of the "electric" compressor to fill those tanks.

  • @freemanbrook Turbines convert pneumatic power to mechanical power at about 65% to 75% efficiency. Turbine efficiency is higher than other air motors because sliding contact of parts does not occur to cause internal friction

  • @freemanbrook To compare motors rated at different inlet pressures, use this rule of thumb: reduce horsepower 14% for each 10-psi reduction in air pressure. Conversely, a 10-psi reduction in air pressure will cut motor efficiency by 14%. Obviously, this relationship directly affects productivity. Again, this is only a rule of thumb and does not apply exactly to any particular motor model.

  • @freemanbrook Batteries are improving in size and many types are recyclable.

  • @freemanbrook I think it would be made more practical if solar panels would power a small compressor on board to keep the tanks filled to improve distance... You will need a lot of solar panels, just as you would for batteries.. You will have less loss with compressed air storage tanks than batteries, during refill and when holding the contents.

  • @freemanbrook It is cleaner but nowhere near the distance achieved. You need a lot of compressed air to go as far as these E.V's are able to go. That is what I meant by practicality. People like high mileage vehicles.

  • 11.55 in a 1900 lb car...what a turd.

  • Comment removed

  • @freemanbrook There are some advantages in compressed air, not enough to get it going on the market. That is why you see E.v's taking off much faster than compressed air cars.

  • @freemanbrook Your compressed air is electric to begin with anyways, just a different form of storage that is less toxic, but also less practical. Try to get a compressed air bike to go 200kms. LOL

  • @freemanbrook I would rather see these toxic chemicals used in batteries (which are becoming smaller thus using less of these toxic chemicals) creating emissions in confined areas rather than the case with gas engines, where these toxic chemicals are scattered everywhere and constant when the vehicle is running. What about when the vehicle is idling? A gas engine becomes even less efficient! You need a good pressure first before your air bike gets you anywhere. See if 200w will get you started

  • @freemanbrook Compressed air is even less practical and efficient than E.v's.. The claim I made earlier about 20-35% is taking everything into account, transmission, etc. Gas would be far less than 20% if we applied the same concept. Without these considerations, electric would indeed be above 50% efficient just accounting its components.

  • @freemanbrook There's Also the Subaru G4e which charges in 15 minutes.. Americans are way behind in their E.v's that is why you are so skeptical. You should see the size of the plug for that vehicle. You should also take note, they are not regular lithium batteries. Not Lipo are Lifepo4, they say on the video. You are behind.

  • Hey do u want to make a 1997 ford thunderbird into a electric car it needs a new motor as it is?

  • what you do is great. But the Real enemy are the airplanes those jet engines waste more gas in 1 hour than a big block car at full throttle for a week. electric cars only eliminate maybe 1% of all the pollution. We are over populated and becoming a global plague. I know the truth hurts.

  • @freemanbrook Also check the Audi A2 charges in 6 minutes and can travel around 600km

  • @freemanbrook Nobody said that magically you are losing no energy other than yourself.. The efficiency when you take everything into account is around 20-35%.The variance represents the differences in efficiencies of the various components that makes an electric motor work. When Considering everything the typical gas engine becomes far less than 20% so where's your argument? The only argument really, is battery costs and total cycles which is improving. The Subaru G4e and other examples are here

  • he would have been quicker with a more aerodynamic car . nice stuff anyway .

  • I still don't think electric cars will be practical until battery technology will allow a transcontinental drive on the freeway.

Until then, it's either buy an expensive second car for city driving, or have one gas powered car that can do it all.

I'm holding out for faster-charging, cheaper, more efficient batteries.

  • ariel atom is nicer, but waaaay more expensive

  • i love electric cars but i hate people say they are "clean" ...how do we produce electricity? nuclear, and coal (for the most part)

  • @Dafidd I agree with you but most of our pollution comes from driving cars. We need to work on wind and solar energy more so than nuclear or coal energy. The oil companies have us by the balls and personally I am tired of it. I have my whole house set up with solar power and the only other utilities I use are water and natural gas for heat. But the car itself is clean and is a good start in the right direction.

  • @freemanbrook There is loss, it's true. What you are forgetting is that it's still far less loss than internal combustion. The other thing to consider is that, even if a fossil fuel is used to generate that electricity The combustion is much more clean and thorough. The smoke stacks at a power station are heavily scrubbed to minimize the emission of harmful waste products. It's something you just can't do on a car because of size/weight limitations. EVs are cleaner.

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common people.

We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity now.

Look for the LT MAGNET MOTOR in youtube video search. Join the Revolution!!

  • americans have one bad thing when they try to make something to look cool they use the geek way ''combution chamber brings cancer to people'' lollololol

  • @freemanbrook And the creation of fissile fuels have a higher efficiency?

  • Comment removed

  • @freemanbrook ...are not accounted for in this study

  • @freemanbrook Already read that back in 2007-2008. And they did said that althrough the air pump and motor was relatively innefficient, they worked to pulls as much efficiency as possible from the conversion process. They pretty much pinpoint how to run a generator driven by air motor and only increase the efficiency starting from the motor itself. They are not pulling their figures from the whole energy in the system, just from part converting motion to electricity. The lost in the air motor..

  • @freemanbrook I dont see any of your comments with mdi in it. And please, no need to get angry and call names, we are just talking cars here. Plus it's youtube. So check out my sources if you dont believe me and if you have good documents on the air cars I might not have seen, please point them to me and I'll read them. I love technology and yes I also know what Im taking about since im EE myself. I build drives, chargers, programmed uController and the works. Ive read a lot about aircars but

  • @Veikra ...have yet to see lower carbon footprint on those

  • @freemanbrook I just gave you the WHOLE documents and all the facts, not my fault if you refuse to read them and then call bogus. You are IGNORING the data I provided you. I know you want to like air car, as far as im concern anything is better than gasoline. But when someone gives you comparative datas between technologies you should at least consider it. Especially when this data comes from real, verifiable sources. I gave authors and studies, and yet you still say im saying its not backed

  • GREAT !

  • "The overall efficiency of a vehicle using compressed can't exceed 14%, even with a 100% efficient engine and practical engines are closer to 10-20%" that was from thermodinamik, from Kampagne "Druckluft effizient", a german paper. It might still be on their website and ive seen it in translated form online. And with such performance aircars would have a total footprint larger than gasoline cars considering those are at 20%.

  • @freemanbrook You seem a bit cocky, YOU need to read up YOUR facts about the machines you push. I advise you to read wind to wheel energy assesment by Patrick Mazza where they find out lithuim base electric cars outperform both hydrogen and air powered car by 3folds. And check out mdi , I remember them making claims of close to 200km in '05 and still no proof of that so far

  • The eletric car is fastest in 400m than a gas car.

Because eletric car can use all the Kw all time, not using cluths and transmission.

The final speed is worst, but the acceleration is the BEST !!

(perfect to use in city, you can run fast and with security cause car not take high speeds.)

  • More people should see this since most ASSUME that electric cars are slow for some odd reason ? LOL

    Way to go !

    Cheers !!

    Sarah Angelina DeLagostti : )

  • @freemanbrook You need to explain how you can use waste heat to drive compression more compression. Id like to know. Sometimes its not the better technologu that wins in our world....just remember the BETA vs VHS for one :p Or Gm crushing good Evs

  • @freemanbrook heat scavenging compressor. How to you scanvenge the heat of compressing a gas to put that energy back in the exact same gas? You need to understand that in order to skrink that gas you have to remove heat from it. That's simple as Pv=nrt And how can you make that heat help the motor to compress the air? The process of compressing air is not efficient, the machine could be, but still youre losing in the end when you use it. You lose energy in all engines, and using 3 type is worst

  • @freemanbrook air cars can go 200-300miles from what ive read. I dont like depending on gas station again. Id rather recharge at home, so I can choose how to charge it

  • Cold weather performance ? At less you can get heat easily since air powered cars only generate cold when air expand in the engine. So youd need batteries or propane for heat. And id like to come back over the toxicity, because, batteries arent as toxic as they were and are recyclable. They have a good value even when they are dead so they WILL get recycled. Oh, and there is a lot of EV rav4 with their original batteries. I like air car because of the refuelling, but they use more energy

  • @freemanbrook air conditionning doenst work at 1200psi. Go and check how much a air compressor capable of 4500psi with a decent volume cost. Plus youll still lose way more in heat than simple battery charging AND the air engine probably wont deliver better efficiency than a 3phase induction ac motor . Using piston is never efficient. Plus tank need to be replaced periodically when their service time is reach. Air cars are not any simpler than electric ones, and are far less efficient in all.

  • Well...okay...that's NOT entirellly true that he doesn't put out one ounce of pollution. The car may not, but that's if you don't count the manufacturing processes required for the batteries, or the power generation plants where the electricity comes from. He's just buying into the whole "diffusion of responsiblity" or "not my problem" mantras. Corvette can drive for at least 250 miles, and "recharge" in 3 minutes. Can you?

  • @freemanbrook actually charger can be efficient and cheap, just check out the swithching supplies. For instance Maxim makes ics delivering over 96% efficiency. and if you think a charger is expensive, i'd advise you also check the price of large compressor. With air youre gonna lose a ton of power through heat plus youll lose out move because whatever air motor or turbine you put it in is not as efficient as an electric motor. The most efficient way so far is to keep it all electric

  • @atsidlm totally right. Just look at this this way. Best would be Power generation ->electric motor. but since we cant for car you suggest Power-->electric motor->compressing air->storing-> air motor turning back into motion). Compressing air is HIGHLY innefficient. with full ellectric you can go from power gen->conversion(charger)90+%eff ->motor 92+% . And batterie can now fail safely in crashes, and be charged at home.

  • @freemanbrook but making electricity to run a compressor to store it in tanks and then use it takes a lot more energy than making electricity and storing it. So unless the batteries are throw away and not recyclable at all, it's actually better to use batteries. I do like the compresser air idea, but we have more and more fast charge battery packs now.

  • Electric cars are cool, I just wish they'd just stop couching it in this "AGW" alarmist nonsense.

  • wat would be more awesome is if this guy did it to my truck ... i have a 92' gmc.. lol i need to save a on gas....

  • John ! I want 1, do you sell or do I have to do it myself !

  • @NaaomiSealy Ah John !! I'm still waiting 4 a response please !! Love the idea so come on !!! Do you sell ? If not how do it myself ? Thanx

  • The claims of all eco-freaks on the wonderful things their annoying distractions they call solutions are all bullshit, electric cars will be the heaviest on the road due to the weight of the battery eliminating most of the efficiency gained with an electric motor, in a demolition derby between a prissyus, a leaf, volt, and a smart car, the battery weight will probably be an asset.

  • Hmm, if the track's electricity provider is a coal or nuclear power plant, it's still not green. All you're doing is moving the pollution around, but I bet a full charge is cheaper than a full tank of gas :P
