At night, especially shooting street, use the manual focus, the wheel/dial is easy to select a focus increment. Zone focus.

Many photo journalists used/use the Leica M's with zone focus, it is preselected and utterly instant.

People mention the x100 but don't mention the white orb problem that the 2012 firmware failed to solve. The X1 is for taking stills, not video, it is a CAMERA that takes photographs.......Very Well.

I can never afford a Leica so I got(stuck) with a Olympus E-P2..I like it for a few reasons and I dislike it for more than a few reasons..if only it worked as great as its superior construction..it would be amazing. The E-P2 really feels like a solid piece of metal when you are out shooting with it..and it sorta looks like a old range finder camera of yesteryear.

Just to clear up a couple of things - the body is all-metal, and the grip is leather (not "plastic", and "rubber composite")

I decided to pick up another canon 5d mark II body. M9 is great, just can't afford it.

NEVER EVER THINK that the bigger your camera the better. I spent so much money buying a 1D, 3 lenses, and a 2.5kg tripod.

In the end, I had to sell everything away and simply get a "portable" camera.

It's just that I can't carry 7kg everyday and walk around in the city.

@s044121 Oh yes, the x100 is not the best, but i would still choose it instead of the leica x1. BUT, if you're into fashion, I would choose the x1 to impress my friends. I don't care what they say about me buying a x100 or not. I know they will be jealous of me having a x1. PEACE!!
