we take an oath to uphold the protestant religion and that the heads of state ie the queen the PM and their successors be of that faith, to stop papal interference in political matters which it is prone to do, we dont hate catholics, and in fact the battles we commemorate gave civil and religious freedoms to every person regardless of their religion, something the papacy and the media dont seem to want to publicise or keep in the forefront of any discussion re parades
we dont take an anti-catholic oath, Irish Republicans try to say we do but we have nothing against Roman Catholics.
to put it simply we are just proud to be Protestant, proud of our history, culture and country, if this is a crime then millions around the world in every country are guilty!

If you ever come to Northern Ireland apart from the 12th July the first friday in June every year is the biggest and best band parade of the year, its in a small village called Markethill and gets over 100 bands and over 20 thousand people watching. Any band member our supporter WOULD LOVE IT. 7pm till 11.45pm.
