@ngite - yes, Viber should work between any 2 Viber users, no matter where they are in the world.

The problem may be different. Please try this workaround:

Open Viber and find a person you know who has Viber in the "All" contact list. To reboot synchronization, change a digit, save and exit the contact list. Open contact again, change the digit back to the original, correct number, save and exit. Wait for approximately 10 minutes and see if the contact is now recognized as a Viber user.

Meanwhile, we recommend you (and the other party) to test Viber on a few different WiFi networks and see if Viber works fine on any of them.

Insructions for activating Viber on iPod/iPad:

1. connect to WiFi from your iPad/iPod.

2. download and install Viber app. when asked for your number, enter your regular cellphone's number, then confirm.

3. an SMS message with the code will be sent to your regular cellular phone.

4. take that code and use it in your iPad/iPod. Viber will then be activated, and you're good to go.

* this means that if anyone dials your number on Viber, you will get the call on your iPad/iPod.

1. Both sides to be connected to the internet (either 3G or WiFi)

2. Both sides to have Viber installed

If both of these conditions are not met, then Viber allows you to make regular, cellular call. These calls are made through your usual cellular provider, and you are charged as you usually would for a regular cellular call (by your provider, not by us(

I want a fast answer , i've been using viber for a week with number of a cousin but now i changed the card to mine and reinstalled viber but when i go to approve if i am the real owned there an error : An internet connection is required to set up Viber . Check your connection and try again .. this happens even if im connected with my wifi and my wifi dont have any problem so problem is it in your app please update or tell me how to fix

For now, Viber uses a mobile number in order to authenticate the iPod's holder identity. We are discussing other methods of registration these days, but for now you'll have to assign a phone number to your iPad/iPod in order to register.

You can't make Viber calls to a person who doesn't have Viber. In that case Viber will refer you to make a normal cellular call (using iPhone's or Android's regular app)

Ive received a beta-invite for Viber (for android)

so I followed the link and entered my information for the beta.

but unfortunately I made typo in my phone-number

so now I cant receive the confirmation-code after installation.

because if I type in the (wrong) number I entered on the sign-up page - I will not get the Code

but if I type in my correct number, it wont let me in because it tells me that this number isnt registered!

Sometimes 3G connection is not sufficiently fast to support Viber, so there is little we can do to help it.

When you have a WiFi connection, it is recommended to use it instead of 3G.

Viber charged me $139,, & they will not reimburse me. They have no way to for you to call and talk to someone to fix the problem or any miscommunication on how to use the app.,, just a cold e-mail and they keep your money So when using the app please be careful. I feel if you get a app that says it's free everything about it should be free.
