  • I WENT HEERERE!!

  • @ckathic the international airport in the South is called Tan Son Nhat and the one that is located in the north is called Noi Bai. Hope that helps.

  • that's a wonderful beach, how much did the flight cost?

  • @ckathic ticket are cheap around sept.. every other season is around 1500 us dollars.

  • @llx2o1 okay.. and did you sleep in a hotel or where were you located?

  • @ckathic flight to VIETNAM is very expensive during the holiday season.. especially xmas and chinese new years and summer as well. you have to either take another flight or maybe a BOAT ride to get to this island which will probably cost around 100. i never had the chance to visit this place, but i did went to another VERY popular tourist area called Phan Thiet, Mui Ne. the hotel out there range from $10-$100 a day. A 3-4 stars hotel can cost $10.00. Its all depend on the seasons .

  • @llx2o1 okay, so i couldn't fly directly to the isle? i'm watching the pictures of your place which is called Phan Thiet, Mui Ne. it looks really nice, where is the place? is it an isle or is it on the land?

  • @ckathic the thing about Vietnam airport is that they only have one International Airport i believe.. then they have those small airports for local specifically for south east asia. Phan Thiet, Mui Ne is 1 hour from Nha Trang ( Another very fabulous tourist attraction). Its on the east of Vietnam, about 3 hrs ride from Saigon City to there.. but only because the speed limit and traffic. Google Map Phan Thiet Mui Ne with satellite view and you'll see most of it.

  • @llx2o1 yeah, that's right. last summer i spent 3 weeks in vietnam, hanoi. and i think they just have 2 big international airports. the one in hanoi and the one in the south but i don't know his name.. yeah i think i wanna be on a quiet place with a beautiful beach. nha trang looks really nice too and it's in the east of vietnam. maybe i'll spend my next summer there. but phan thiet, mui ne looks beautiful too.. aww i don't have any idea!

  • @ckathic i think phu quoc is a bit more expensive since its an island..if i have the money and time, i would choose Phu Quoc too. (=

  • @llx2o1 yeah, but i think nha trang is expensive too, isn't it?

  • @ckathic someone i knew went there around January which was around CHinese new year.. they stayed at this 5 stars hotel and there were 16 of them. they paid about 3,000 US for 3 days and 2 nights.

  • @llx2o1 what? that's a lot of money! and you have to count the fly too.. but i hope there are cheap hotels, i think i don't need a 5 stars hotel.. or is there something special in a 5 stars hotel?

  • @ckathic i heard they had everything..indoor gym, pools...etc.. i think the hotel they stayed at called Vinepearl, which was where Miss Universe went a year or two ago for their competition..like i said, its only expensive during a certain season.. the best time to go would be between March-April and Oct-Nov

  • @llx2o1 well, but i think i do not need an indoor gym or a pool... ooh yeah i heard about it from a person i know.. yeah but i really wanna go in summer, because there i have holidays (=

  • @ckathic if you want to be around the local and eat the REAL vietnamese foods then go to Nha Trang and Mui Ne.. if you want to be isolated in a safer environment then go to Phu Quoc.. though i doubt the foods are going to be as good. When i visited Mui Ne, Phan Thiet. it was overcrowded with most Europeans. Its very beautiful at night... ahh i miss it!

  • My wife and I just spent a week on Phu Quoc. We were disappointed by the amount of rubbish on the beaches and in the water. Sao Beach was probably the nicest place we saw.

  • Oh my Home,my island

  • wow, it's rather amazing how picturesque Phu Quoc island is. It is one of the rare treasures left in the world with such natural beauty that hasn't been ruined by modernity. I love it. It looks like paradise and a perfect getaway from modern civilization. That used to be the case with nearby Phuket, then came the skyscrapers and hotels transforming it into something more like Hawaii. It's still beautiful, though, but I'd much prefer Phu Quoc's more relaxed natural scenic beauty.

  • wow like paradise....except for the stupid people there hahahh

anywhere there is people = hell...

  • It's not unusual for American tourists to be captured and kept in bamboo cages like Rambo was for so many years. The Vietnamese can't stand Americans unless they are hungry and choose to eat them. If I were American I would go to Thailand to avoid rekindling a fight with the old enemy that will require the A-Team to come and rescue you.

  • Phu quoc is great. In the raining season you might have 100.000 vnd/day or 6usd/day. I was there 4 times. it's recommended to rent a bike and go north of island..............

  • this is one place i've yet to visit in vn, but definitely on my list for my next visit back home

  • I am going to check the OLD 8mm movies, but I am sure I swam at this beach while stationed at An Thoi in 1966. Great beach -- circumstances of the time notwithstanding.

  • Reminds me of Destiny Island from Kingdom Hearts

  • Love Phu Quoc, just come back from 2 weeks there. Can't wait to go back. We hired scooters, had the best time. Vietnam is sooooo much better than Thailand.

  • Uncle Ho complained why commies have not

given this island to Chinese as he did on the paracel

    and spratly islands

  • This is Koh Tral

  • i'll be there in june...=)

  • I love Phu Quoc! Visit Bai Sao if you go there - and the small southern islands, like this one here of cause.

Try fresh sea urchins on the boat, yummy!

    den

  • special place!!!!

    maybe I'll go in november..

whrere I can find this beach?.. show on the map!thx marco

  • can you show me where it is, the exact place?(map)

I'll go to vietnam next summer 2010.

  • you go on a tour , you can book one at your hotel and they'll take you there: Fingernail Island. South of Phu Quoc in the Archipelago.

  • i were exactly there in Februari 2009:) it was so beautiful:)!

  • whattime of year is this?

  • I go tomorow to Vietnam

  • Last I visited Duong Dong, Phu Quoc was may 2007. My birthtown! Miss my family sooo much... Yes it's a fantastic beach! Right next to Bai Sao Beach... I think it was something about a powerful king who printed his fingernail in a stone. Can't really remember how the story was....

  • that is awesome.. Where is that??;)))thanks for the video.

  • paradise? lol

  • it's paradise!!

  • Yeah except for mean young fishermen who hate foreigners if they step 30 feet away from the hotel ("mai lan" resort in this case).

  • Phu Quoc is fantastic. Luckily Ho cho Minh died early or he should have offered this island to Chinese too!

  • china already took that island, sad T.T

  • wtf are you talking about? dickhead

  • what do you say???...i think you're wrong...it still belongs to vietnam.!!

  • @loeericsson Yeah my bad china took hoangxa and truongxa already and they are fuking planing to take phuquoc, and some island from japan, tawain (sure those greedy bastard gorverment need to die) they said PhuQuoc belong to the Tang dynasty from long time ago -,- wth cuz china is really strong now and U.S dont give a shit to vietnam cuz U.S in dept with china now.

  • @lephucminh84 : you are really a bullshit...shit of a bull!!!!

  • @loeericsson : He talked nonsense for his limited knowledge.. you just forget it!

  • it's also fantastic how your mom suck American dicks to get you to where you are right now.

  • it is real! it's one of the most amazing places i've ever visited...

and yes, it is safe for americans to travel there. vietnam is one of the safest places i have travelled.

  • @Emily442 hahah are you kidden ? vietnamese dont really care more about the war. for us its important now to take our economy as high as possible ! dont be afraid american - as long if you dont wann make trouble , youre always welcome =)

  • @Emily442 You know at Vietnam, parents rather send their children to go to Japan a month than go to Hanoi for a week .

  • is it safe for americans to travel there???

  • no, we capture and interrogate any american in sight.

  • i never travled out of u.s. i was just wondering.

  • we are not muslim so don't worry. not that many countries hate the americans though.

  • @saigonpunkid

    HAHAHAHA!

  • @saigonpunkid you 4 got to admit you torture them with vietnamese folk music

  • I need to visit this place !

  • is that for real? it looks likes something conjured up by a 3D program!

  • stunning! one of my favorite places to visit in vietnam. trust me, it looks even more gorgeous in person.
