The pictures make it look worse than it really is. The narrows are a walk in the park and the transition to the homestretch isn't bad either. I found the climb out of the trough to be the toughest. Just be prepared that it feels like you are going no where in trough. Of course I am from Oklahoma so the altitude was tough on us. Good luck and I hope you guys have a safe climb!
Its really not bad. The two spots shown are the most extreme spots. The ledges is like a side walk with amazing views! A walk in the park compared to what comes next!
@leesh32 my dad and I are going to try and cimb this later this week. how difficult was the end of the narrows and the conversion to the homestretch? pictures look hard.
I climbed it two days ago (Aug 20th). It took me almost 8hrs to reach the summit. It was brutal, but well worth it...
