the exe file will not open it says the application failed to initalize properly (0x0000135). click on ok toterminate the application

Sorry, I didn't realize that you must have the path set up correctly, and all javac does is ensure that it is. Make sure you direct it to the /bin folder in your jdk folder. That's where I went wrong-- I had it just to the jdk folder. :P

If the "javac" command doesn't do anything, follow these steps:

1. Right click on your desktop, and click New Shortcut.

2. Make the shortcut's path "CMD.exe /k cd\".

3. Name it whatever you want.

4. Double click it-- you should now see "C:\>"

5. Now you want to go to the path he described. Type "cd Program Files" or "cd Program Files (x86)"

6. Now type "cd Java", then "cd (your jdk folder's EXACT name)", then "cd bin".

7. Now type "javac"

8. Profit. :P
