  • I'd do this but, im in CA not in new zealand

  • Ya, right...and it that first step that would stop me, no thankyou. The biggest loser people did it but not ME! How much did it cost,...they shoudl pay you!

  • Ya, right...and it that first step that would stop me, no thankyou. The biggest loser people did it but not ME!

  • im guessin this would bit like absailing - once your over the edge its not scary

  • i soooo want to do this and i would do it again and again if it wasnt so expensive

  • oh i remeber i did this two years ago i was only twelve but i was holding on to that pole like you wouldnt fucken believe and that motor thing at 5:27 gets soooo fucken loud scary as shit but costs a fortuin $140

  • @emma3189 I did it while on holidays there too! Also i got a 2nd jump for free :)

  • I did a 125ft jump like this in England, it was scary but fun jumping forwards and backwards, this would be awesome.

  • you're crazy dude

  • JUST DO IT! Youll never regret it, completely euphoric after you commit yourself to that first step, TOTALLY worth it!

  • @nickweston a 14 year old dit it

  • omg im gonna do this for my 13th bday!!!!!! i cant wait!

  • wow hes got no fear :S

  • was awesome this.. worst bit was going up in glass bottom lift and all the bastards laughing at u when u hang infront of the restaurent

    well worth it though

  • I wonder how many people piss and shit their pants on this ride...do they charge extra for cleanup, what if you barf on the platform on the way down, it would spread all over...

  • @TheRealCritique

    dont cuss

  • im moving to aukland nz next year from canada im def doing this shit

  • sky jump is awesome, it cost me 140 dollars for me to jump and it was worth it, after you jump you get a coupon that lets you go a second time for only 75 buck's, yet it's like $50 just to go up the tower for adult's and $25 for children, very expensive, it was pretty sweet and a little creepy cause they make you leen over the edge and then they count down 3-2-1 jump very fast, any one who did the jump must have done the gigantic slingshot just a block over, shoots you clear over the building.

  • Missing Auckland hard cantwait to get back home to NZ!!!

  • You got to go to queenstown south Island and do the Nevis Valley bungy jump .Its unnerving just getting to it.134 metres drop to the river from a cable platform strung across the valley and its got a 8 second free fall. What a rush.

  • funny way to find if u have a heart problems ahahaha

  • lol what the name of the end?

  • that guy has got some balls

  • you could never pay me to do this let alone me pay to do this lol

  • i did it as a 14 year birthday present, 140 dollars.

  • i lived in Auckland for two years, I would NEVER do this..... amazing to see people doing this mad jump!

  • what part did you live in? i live in onehunga, ever been to onetree hill?

  • that got me scared just watchin, what a rush

  • hey, weird q...but does this go very fast at all?

i checked this out 5 years ago when i was in auckland last but i think i may have been under the age at the time (?). it doesn't look very fast..but i don't exactly know what it feels like when you're actually in that position.

just curious cause im headed back to nz in 3 weeks and was hoping to do this, time time!!

  • I thought that the worst bit was standing on the edge looking down. Its pretty tame, i read its 85kph as its fan descended. Save your money for Queenstown south island!!!!!!. Its still good fun though.

  • awesome!! thanks for the response!

from what i have seen it of before i never thought it went too fast, i was just mostly concerned about that dropping feeling you get on rollercoasters and that. is that the same when base jumping etc?

  • I understand what your saying, the dropping feeling is caused by not having any physical resistance holding you back. From what i remember of this you don't experience this at anytime as the harness kicks in the moment you step off the edge. Where are you heading when you get there???.

  • Oh awesome, thanks again! yeah i hope so! that was my only concern though, (the dropping feeling), cause for some reason my body can't handle that overwhelming feeling of dropping.

but like i said, i was always interested in the jump from the sky tower, so im really hoping something like that isn't going to get in the way.

  • ooh and yeah im hoping to go on a cruise actually, i found a few awesome deals for cruises around nz over the xmas/new year period that work out cheaper than staying in hotels there, so im hoping to jump on board ;)

  • Sounds good, lucky you. Only stayed in a few hotels there, always got a campervan when i've been over there. You'll see lots for a fraction of the price on a cruise rather than overland with car hire/hotels/fuel etc. Well enjoy the jump, hopefully its a good day for it, and enjoy how surreal its is landing on a platform in the middle of the city. There's always a good group of bystanders watching, looking up to see which mentallist is on there way down!!!!!!!.

  • Hahaha i know!! so lets just hope i don't crap my pants on the way down for all my audience to see ;)

Yeah i know..the cruise has turned out a really good option actually, and really affordable!! When i was in nz last, i did a bus tour for about a month and now looking back on that, that chewed up a hell of a lot of money!!

  • (woops! didn't mean to send that last comment so soon...) ....and truth be told - nz isn't an expensive company, but its certainly not a cheap country either!!

but anyway despite the fact that i dont get to see as much on a cruise, its basically what im looking for at this point of time - a nice relaxing holdiay, and more importantly...an escape from work!!;)

But anyway just a thing..what hotels have you stayed at in auckland, or would recommend??

  • haha CJ you're awesome.

  • I did this. The worst bit is when they dangle you for the picture!!

  • hi ive just come of from holidays and i went to new zealand and i saw a few people jump

  • I have GOT to do this !!!!

    AWESOME !!!

  • I'd rather base jump

    don't ask me why ;)

  • how old you have to be to jump?

  • Pretty sure its 16. But there are height and weight restrictions.

  • oh. ok. ty

  • Did this jump 3 times on a grey afternoon in october 2006. The worst bit is standing on the edge ready to go - great view - its pretty tame compared to Nevis, Much love to the crew at the top - good laugh!. Wierd suspending 10 metres down waiting for your picture while people are in the restaurant window!!!!

  • that would be easy

  • I did it too last year. Twice even. It is a wonderful feeling. Only it is terrifying standing there a second before the jump. Then you jump and they stop after 10 meters for a nice picture. hhhahahahhhaah :-)

  • I wana do it

  • Good video.

  • ive done that

  • I am headed there next month and I have already made my reservations to jump

  • me and my family went 2 NZ in 2005 AND IT RULED!!!!

  • I am going to Auckland next year, I´m gonna try this :-)

  • oh boy, thinking of doing this in next few weeks...not so sure anymore...

  • I was at the top of that tower several years ago. Kudos to you dude. The glass panel floors scared the hell o/of me enough as it was.

  • Cool dude who conquers his fear. Congratulations!
