may i know how to replace the logo to bigger size like a banner... i put my banner design into the logo image setting n d system shrunk the file .... im using Sky theme.. how to make the company logo bigger?
Interesting and useful tutorial. Thanks. Only advice is: as it is an "introduction" video it is probably being use by beginners so would be really nice if you slowed down a bit so it is easier to follow along. Pause, rewind & play works of course but would be nice if it wasn't necessary.
i wish you would go through setting up a page. I know how to make a regular website, but I have no idea how to put the druapl stuff where. I'm on the 3rd redo of one of my websites and have decided that a 4th is in store with drupal, but I don't know how to go about putting the drupal stuff where.
@TheLtUhura If you open your site in other browsers they have default settings. IE has a default margin/padding around the window edges, and random elements. A reset file makes it so every setting is exactly the same to start with in all browsers.
How did you manage to load drupal locally on your computer? Did you have linux installed on another partition or can this all be done within windows? Thanks.
you have some GREAT content, i found this video EXTREMELY helpful so i'll give you a small tip... if you want to make your videos better and grow inside youtube you should probably check this channel out, iceflowstudios, personally, it is my favorite for photoshop tutorials. Look at the quality and how well the videos are planned, you seem to do everything on the fly and not so structured. Again, excellent content and thanks, just a small tip to improve ur channel ;)
You should make a video on how to convert your own css file to a drupal CSS file. Oh, what I meant was converting HTML to a theme without just having to manually "Modify" the existing php index file.
@ThoughtLateral Haha thanks.. I have rethought this a lot and it MIGHT be easier to just over-ride the ummm.. Bespin theme (Or whatever its called??? the default theme for D7)... If you went that route, youd have to copy the original template into your themes folder, and rename the FUNCTIONS in the template.php file to your theme name

Good intro, thanks. I especially enjoyed the real-world scenario of disabling inactive themes + cache registry purge!

thanks you saved me so much time !
if someone has problems with variables - ->
Open your template.php in dreamweaver, or an editor of your choice,
Select "find all" and type in bartik,
In the "replace all" box put in your new theme name as per your .info file,
Hit "Replace All" (the editor will replace "bartik" with "themename" when it encounters it),
save template.php back to your server,
configuration > performance > clear all caches
!et voila!
