  • Thank you again for all of the people who have commented and shared my story with the world. I am truly blessed by God to be here and able to speak for those who cannot speak. To keep memories alive. To share the message with everyone I can.. To help others not be another tragedy by drinking and driving.

  • You are truly a Miracle! What an amazing testimony of God's faithfulness. Your life is an example of a true Victorious Over-comer! Glad to hear you are speaking out, you definitely have a voice that needs to be heard! I personally am a strong believer that Drunk Driving is a serious CRIME & should be dealt with in that manner! As you continue this journey of a second chance, may you continue growing stronger physically & spiritually in the Lord everyday! Thank you for sharing with the world!

  • @sanblaser thank you so much. I am a miracle that Jesus literally saved my life. I am very happy to be able to speak for those that cannot. It gives me joy that I can reach people. I am humbled by the people who have survived their crashes. I have pain every day but I thank God for it because it makes me stronger and also teaches me that I am an imperfect person. One day God will take me until that day I will continue to fight to be heard and to heal more.

  • @godfathersatx I cannot agree more here. I'm a Christian, and I prefer to stay sober and never drink alcohol at all. After all, it's better for me to stay sober and follow my own path rather than follow the crowd and get drunk on alcohol (and make bad decisions). :)

  • You are welcome...and David has trouble with his memory too...mostly short term....but he gets frustrated...he is having trouble with dizziness and nausea here lately..but they said that is kinda normal for someone with a TBI....So..how are you doing?

  • I am having some problems but I always seem to overcome them. They pretty much have stopped trying to put me back together now it is just quality of life. I have had over 19 different surgeries. I am going to have a morphine implant put in my spine so that I can get rid of most my pain meds. It also goes directly into my spine so that it drips constantly and does not go through my organs so no damage and little to no side effects. My brain injury is better but not 100%. I keep positve.

  • It is amazing the things they can do to put people back together these days, but we still can't keep drunk drivers off the road, all we can do is continue to educate those around us. You are truly an inspiration, not only to us, but to others, you keep up the great work you are doing. May I ask, how long ago was your accident? (I hate calling them accidents, the driver drove on purpose, got drunk on purpose) Are you able to walk? I appreciate you answering my questions, but you don't have too

  • I was hit on May 28, 2001. I was in a coma for about one month including the waking/semi coma. They told me I would never walk again. I used to make them take me to the parallel bars and drag my legs wanting to walk. I never gave up and in late 2002 I did walk until I started having spine problems. I eventually ended up in a chair again but am going through therapy again. My legs/spine are degenerative. I walk with braces for short distances. I also use the chair or scooter.

  • I hope that you will be able to walk again...but I guess the really important thing is that you are alive...walking is important, but living is even more important...Thank you again for sharing your story....I would like for you to be able to talk to my son sometime if you wouldn't mind....He seems to be doing okay to the outside world, but he is going through a lot of emotional things as well as the physical...I know that you understand what he is going through better than I do...

  • continued from last message I understand what he is going through. I also studied and worked with other TBI patients. One thing that you will experience with a brain injury is that you will experience many different emotions. I have learned to deal with them in a positive way. For instance I cry more during movies or when I hear songs and I tell myself that it makes me more empathetic about other peoples problems or their emotions. You learn to let the emotions come just deal with them diffly.

  • check your private messages i have sent you some messages

  • Man God had you in His hands. Stay strong and keep praying.

  • My son was hit by a drunk driver a couple of months ago...he too is a survivor....I'm glad you are still here....

  • I am so happy that He made it through such a devastating thing. Seeing that video brings back so many memories of my experience. I at one time had such a hard time remembering even the simple things but with time some of my memory did come back. It is hard and each day is difficult even now, but he and I both are survivors and we make it through those times. Thank you for sharing his experience with the world.

  • I'm glad to hear your story and thank you for what your are doing to stop the madness. My sister was killed by a drunk driver at the age of 17 two years ago. My heart and prayers go out to you.

  • Thats good to here i had a close friend back in 04 that was killed in a drunk driver accident they wear all drunk and the driver went of the road and hit a ditch aproach and fliped the car 10times she was the only one to die Well im glade that you are getting stronger

  • This man is not a cripple, not some disabled lump of flesh that some would have you believe. He is an honest, caring, hardworking individual whose life was forever changed by a drunk driver. Miraculously, he survived. Now he has been able to save many lives of those who would drink and drive, and the lives of the people they would possibly hit as well. I have a deep respect for this man. Please listen to what he has to say. Cherish your life and those around you, don't drink and drive.
