  • It's a very beautiful performance.I like it.

  • Thank you very much. I really do appreciate your kind comments

  • great pickin. thinking about buying this guitar, what's your feelings on it? have you have it long? i've heard and read some issues with the finish going bad on it.

  • Thanks for the positive comment. I really like this guitar - had it since April 09. Great to play and great sound (Acoustic and through an amp - it has a bridge piezzo pu and a mic' in the body and you can mix the both to get the sound you want) I've heard comments about the finish as well - it's not lacquered so I imagine it may be susceptible to staining from sweaty hands etc However, mine is still pristine -having said that I'm not playing much at the moment.

  • Hi Jeff,

Just a couple of small corrections to my earlier comment, the album is actually "Black melodies on a clear afternoon" and the arrangement of Powder Rag is by Ton van Bergyk but I'm not sure if it's played by him or Stefan Grossman on the album. It has a third section that I've not heard on any other arrangement. I'm sure if you get this album you'll enjoy it,

    Regards,Dave

  • Hi there, like your playing a lot, we have a couple of things in common, both big Mctell fans, both lefties with the same taste in music. This tune(which I haven't mastered yet) is called Powder Rag. There's a great version of it on Stefan Grossman's compilation album "Black melodies on a sunny afternoon" played by Dave Laibman I think. Keep up the good work,

    Regards, Dave

  • Thanks a lot lot Dave - for the great comment and also the name - It was really beginning to bug me

Actually, although I am indeed a leftie, I play right handed - It's just that I record my videos on an apple mac from the built in camera which doesn't transpose the image and I can't find out how to do it! - PS I'll look for the Stefan Grossman cd
