I think the writers realized their huge mistake in killing off Edie, so they turned Vanessa's character into an Edie replica: Edie and Renee have the same personalities and both have had love/hate relationships with the other housewifes. I'm not too impressed. I'd rather just have Edie back.

She had chemistry with everyone she worked with, and every "housewife rivalry" she had was awesome. Marc Cherry claims he ran out of things to write for Edie, but that's a cop-out. Unless he's admitting to not being a writer who can develop long-term characters. What a shame, and what a void Edie left when they killed her off.

i dont think edie or the woman who plays her was treated right on the show. i heard there were backstage probs. and think about it, when there were group photos of the cast all they show r the main 4 girls and edie is left out. now in group pics katherine is now in the photos. she always brought in her character very briefly on the show and even when she got married, she still didnt have a big role. she seemed more like a recurring cast member than main cast. and it sucks big time.
