They obviously dig each other's playing. That's why they are making music and not senseless noise. What a great tune. One can jam on this one for at least 48 hours non stop.
The reason Nashville sounds so bland is because Lyle Lovett has cornered the market on all the best musicians. No complaints by me. Keep doing what your doing Mr. Lovett.
Walk softly and carry a really big fiddle.. er cello. LOVE IT!! This was the encore the last live show I saw in 2010 and it was AWESOME! Lyle Lovett and his freakin awesome Large Band will always be the music in my head and my heart. Thanks!!!
@zbestwun2001 - yes he is great, and russ kunkel on drums... great to see those two still playin together.. they were the backbone to alot of great music in the studio and on the road

I think this was the last recording at the old studios for Austin City Limits. They move the show to the new digs in 2011.
