  • This is worth it's weight in precious metal...

  • I got the money, and she's got the kisses.

    great!

  • Lucky Joe's voice is great, but his timing is awful! Very VERY cool record nonetheless - or may because of it. Good playin' by the band. Also find Eddie Zack and Cousin Richie's version - a Texas swing band from Rhode Island!

  • I've had "Rock Me" forever. It's one of my favorite .45s.

  • It's a rock- a- billy, but the title is rock and roll, maybe through tne coming modern wave

  • I had this record when I was a kid, and loved it then and still do. Thanks so much for putting it on YouTube. I would just about rip out my teeth to hear the flip side-- Hickory Nut Boogie. Any chance you can share that, too?

  • I keep being told Alen Freed invented the term rock n Roll, but when you see songs like this Roll and Rock is makes you realise tha t the term rock n Roll was around much earlier then history records.

  • That's true, motorvating, but Alan Freed was instrumental in applying the term to the emerging styles of music we've also come to know as doo wop, rockabilly, etc. Before that 'rock and roll' appears on several records like this one as you know, but wasn't really used as a name for the music as a whole.
