Oh man, I almost threw up at the idea of this. I was a baby when I was circumcised and honestly, I'm happy I was. I don't remember it at all, and I don't want the extra skin. I'm at a standstill though if I have kids down the future whether to have my kid circumcised or not as a baby. I mean, they won't remember it the next few minutes, or know exactly what it is, right? So why the big deal? But man, it's still a horrific thought, especially if I were to get it done now.

However the way you got that circumcision was wrong because hundreds of children every year had to die for you to have it. And thousands if not more people never will have wanted to have it, yet it was forced onto them. @Bonobo3D Although she does sound like an idiot, she does bring up a good point. I'm a male, but most women I've talked to say they prefer a circumcised penis. It's not to say which is better of course, it's just the look. And honestly, I'm happy I was circumcised, even though I hate the idea of it. But as an adult, I don't remember any of it, so I don't consider my parents evil for doing it. They probably thought it was better for me in the long run, and I'm happy they went that route.

I am Brazilian. When my mother was pregant with me, my parents were traveling in the U.S and she started to get the first contractions. They rushed to the airport and there was a flight that day back to my country and one only the next day. They caught the first flight. If they had arrived at the airport half an hour latter, they would have stayed in the U.S until I were born and I would have been born in the U.S at an American hospital. I am so, so glad my parents got that flight. So so glad.

When I first figured out what circumcision is, I didn't actually do a lot of research. I thought I was completely normal, wasn't painful and that It makes it easier to clean and avoid infections and diseases. The only bad thing I knew was that it can lead to painful erections. But one day I clicked on this video and when the first baby started screaming, I was left devastated and angry that circumcision even exists and for the fact that my own parents did this to me.
@CutDicksRSmallNUgly I'm sorry to tell you that I'm only 16 years old. But I'm am considering leaving them forever. They don't even regret cutting me or my brother, My mom said if I was born today she still would have circumcised me. Even my own pediatrician recommends it saying that it has excellent health benefits and babies are numbed to the point where they can suck on a pacifier during it and said not doing it leads to a taunting problem. They refuse to believe my statements against this.

My mother believes that a law was passed in the 80's saying that all circumcisions had to use anesthetics. @Sheri451 Actually you are only party right, it IS genital mutilation but a baby or child's foreskin should NOT be pulled back for cleaning. Not until that boy, or young man can retract his foreskin normally. Sometimes it takes into mid adolescence before a male can fully retract. It should NEVER be attempted by a parent or caregiver prematurely. Clean only what is seen, just like a baby girl. Allow the child to develop naturally. The owner of the penis will pull it back when he is ready to.

I saw something on 20/20 about it and couldn't imagine them screaming in pain like that poor baby was doing. Oh man, I almost threw up at the idea of this. I was a baby when I was circumcised and honestly, I'm happy I was. I don't remember it at all, and I don't want the extra skin. I am Brazilian. When my mother was pregant with me, my parents were traveling in the U.S and she started to get the first contractions. They rushed to the airport and there was a flight that day back to my country and one only the next day. They caught the first flight. If they had arrived at the airport half an hour latter, they would have stayed in the U.S until I were born and I would have been born in the U.S at an American hospital. I am so, so glad my parents got that flight. So so glad.

Circumcision as seen in this video (as it was done to countless infants and children) bathes the developing brain with stress hormone cortisol and has life long consequences.

When I first figured out what circumcision is, I didn't actually do a lot of research. I thought I was completely normal, wasn't painful and that It makes it easier to clean and avoid infections and diseases. The only bad thing I knew was that it can lead to painful erections. But one day I clicked on this video and when the first baby started screaming, I was left devastated and angry that circumcision even exists and for the fact that my own parents did this to me.

They don't even regret cutting me or my brother, My mom said if I was born today she still would have circumcised me. Even my own pediatrician recommends it saying that it has excellent health benefits and babies are numbed to the point where they can suck on a pacifier during it and said not doing it leads to a taunting problem. They refuse to believe my statements against this.

My mother believes that a law was passed in the 80's saying that all circumcisions had to use anesthetics. Neither of my parents have actually seen a circumcision though I probably shouldn't show them one until right before I go to college because at that point I will at least finish restoring my foreskin manually.

@Sheri451 Actually you are only party right, it IS genital mutilation but a baby or child's foreskin should NOT be pulled back for cleaning. Not until that boy, or young man can retract his foreskin normally. Sometimes it takes into mid adolescence before a male can fully retract. It should NEVER be attempted by a parent or caregiver prematurely. Clean only what is seen, just like a baby girl. Allow the child to develop naturally. The owner of the penis will pull it back when he is ready to.

@Sheri451 Smegma is the natural occurring sloughing off of dead skin cells and sweat. Men and women get smegma if they don't wash. Children's genitals do not need to be retracted or penetrated for cleaning. These are adult concerns only.

I saw something on 20/20 about it and couldn't imagine them screaming in pain like that poor baby was doing. But my sister said the same crap she haerd about how they can get cancer down there, and how they can do this and that. But I still wouldn't do it to my sons if I had some. I think it's barbaric and should be stopped.

@Sheri451 sheri, i am intact. a newborn child's (of diapering age) foreskin is fused to his glans (head of penis). this is to keep dirt and poop OUT of the penis!!!!! nature is smarter than doctors with knives looking to cash in. you clean an intact baby's penis like a finger. its super easy. way easier than trying to keep a bloody wound free of poop and urine. i have never ever once had an infection and not ONE single complication from having my entire penis. 85% of the world is intact

There is no "trauma" associated with modern-day circumcisions. Period. Adults can't remember the experience, let alone the pain of having had one, and any adult respondent reporting that their circumcised penis is somehow a source of woe for them is simply 1) anecdotal and 2) unrelated to the event, itself.
If anyone can cite a link proving that circumcison causes undue and lasting mental distress to humans- please, let me know. Either way? Not your call, so get over it.

@Alaska47Boy The immediate trauma of circumcision causes cortisol (stress hormone) levels to spike during circumcision. The trauma is so intense, and lasting that these heightened stress levels can still be measured six months after the surgical assault.
We measure this stress in animals and regulate abuse on them with these measurements. Human infants are not given the same consideration and protection.
The trauma of circumcision encodes the brain and affects the individual throughout life.

@kickyouinthenads Some claim they are just "fine" with someone else making the decision to cut off 30-50% of the most highly erogenous tissue from their primary erogenous zone. Usually they are those with a limited understanding about normal sexual anatomy of genitals and why an intact penis has a sheath of erogenous, mobile skin.
It take a great deal of denial to see the severe sexual abuse in the video here and say you are still "fine" with that having been done to you.
