I always think this must be an incredibly difficult aria to pull off coming, as it does, right at the end of the opera. Imagine having to execute that pianissimo beautifully after all that's gone before! Amazing how many sopranos actually manage it. Brava!

A quei tempi era consueto girare le opere come film, per cui la voce è stata registrata in studio e applicata dopo alle immagini.

Se noti è una "vera" stanza e non una ricostruzione in teatro.

con tutto il rispetto per mirella freni, che ha una voce calda, espressiva, splendida, ritengo che come violetta è un po' legnosa, e in generale è una voce che con verdi del suo potenziale rende proprio poco.

Per me non è esagerare lodare anche in quest'opera una grandissima voce e una grandissima interprete, che si esprime, secondo me, ai massimi livelli anche ne "La Traviata", opera che, tuttavia, non è annoverata tra i suoi più grandi successi. Io l'adoro anche qui, e sinceramente un "Addio del passato" così bello, cantato così bene, con così tante sfumature (i pianissimi sono eterei!), non l'ho mai sentito. Brava Mirella, ti adoro!
