  • æsj.

  • how many knots did they reach with 35knots in a 29er just purchased one so im pretty exited to use it

  • 5:35 :D

  • Mastbruch :-(

  • @4:16 Let's do the timewarp again!

  • Bello! Bravi!

  • The gybe at @4:58 !!!! I thought that mast would break for sure when the boom slammed, well recovered though.

  • too much tiller through the tacks

  • too much tiler through the tacks

  • your helm wasnt even hiking

  • wow i bet that kite run was fun :)

  • yee they are great -,-

  • That is def 35 knots ish, well sailed but the mast at 6:10!!! Ouch

  • i bet they were exhausted after a day of sailing like that!!

  • that first tack was so sketchy lol.

  • alla fine si schiantano sul gommone... :S

  • riccardo and lorenzo rule!!! hahah

  • @maxendenia as always max... :D

  • most def that is 35 ish

  • 5 star effort for that! Wouldn't say it was 35 but was still in the high 20's. Good job

  • i would lift more board up

  • always looks less windy on camera

  • does there exist a oneman dinghy with a trapeze?

  • @Belbert95

    Check out Musto Skiff.

  • @Belbert95 RS600, Contender, RS 700, Musto Skiff, and some people sail the 29er one up (29er - X)

  • Look regardless if it was actually 35 or not, just look at the water, there IS a fair amount of wind. Its not like the water is mirror flat. The mainsail is depowered so many times to keep the boat up. I do give it to these guys for sailing in these conditions. Lets ignore the fact that the wind speed is debatable and focus more on the enjoyment of watching two sailors having a blast in a good blowin ;)

  • Lake Garda!!!!

  • If the instrument says 35knots I don't have reason to say it was 25....

The guys were handling quite well, and coz of that it looks less wind!

  • Some the bullets may of been 35 but champ, i have sailed in 35 and it didnt compare with this, im guessing this is somewhere around the 25 mark.

Anyways, your sailors might have not so good boat handleing yet but when they get to sail in this breeze more they will pick up the right technique

  • ooooooo what a bend at the mast at 6:19 :O

  • not 35, no way. Last time I went out in 30 I snapped a RS500 mast.

  • It reminds me some hard days... Nice sailing for the conditions.

  • love it 29ers are awesome. i sail one

  • @ MarieJolie09 if you have to ask you probably wont like it. for me sailing and speed are the best things ever and only if you love sailing and this kind of speed will you put up with the hard work that comes with sailing this boat.

  • wow, that's pretty impressive.

i sail the 420s since 6 months and this video looks to me as hard work! can one enjoy sailing under these conditions??

  • oh that mast 6:10..... it makes me cringe looking at it :/

  • yeah, that's really tough!!!

  • eso es en el lago de garda?? Vahh... Busqen un dia en mar del plata con ola i se van a dar cuenta de qe eso no es naada;) iguaal mui biennn yevando el barco (Y)

  • cool video. You really get to see the boat do its stuff. Are the sails on this handled the same way as they are on a hobie 16?

  • Whatever the wind speed actually is, it's way easier on a lake like Garda without much waves to talk about.

  • to the people who done believe this is 35 knots your idiots. look at the upwind shots, both main and jib ragging and still looking to depower. and that crew looks big! nice boat work guys

  • Yeah this really does not look like 35 knots. High 20s maybe getting into the 30s in the shots where it is really capping.

It is definitely possible to sail a 29er in over 35 knots, but it gets pretty messy. I remember 1 day where they cancelled racing during the 2005 worlds in the bay. Race committee abandoned after solid 35+ and a 30 second gust of 47 knots. Needless to say everyone tried to go for a hoist, a few even made it. None stayed up the whole way downwind.

  • I think YOU can't sail whit 35knots...

My guys can do it ...

  • @tvacondio

    *like

  • @tjeerd29er, I would love to see you handle a 29er in over 20. You really have no idea.

    Beat it faggot.

  • @tjeerd29er its hard to belive coz the water doesnt looks so bad but look at the sails, and remember its a lake.. dont think they use to get 2 meter waves in a lake..

  • @tjeerd29er the reason you don't think it's 35 kn is because the lack of fetch on that body of water doesn't allow for the waves to build up very much.

  • Kill THE kicker!!!

  • Luky the waves were small !!!

  • that was some serious mast bending did it break?

if it did that sucks thats a lot of money down the drain.

where is this i pray for wind like this

  • really good quality video

handled the weather really well couldn't do much about those capsizes

  • look the middle section of the mast in the minute 6.17....we were there

  • A bit more mainsheet on mayby, Use the leech of the main as a backstay.

    Looks really windy, Impressive!!

  • bella navegatione. saluta Fer (alicante)

  • 2:36 spinnaker hoist :D

  • crazy conditions, they kept it up well, most of the time
