Type in "The Birds Leaving Here" and then you'll hear the real & definitive version of this. Go on, do it, listen to it, and then tell me I'm wrong. Not just for the sake of typing in "you're wrong" underneath this entry, but because you've listened to it, and somehow, perversely, you still think this is a better one, remembering that The Birds version was recorded in 1965!!
@hudois Great link . I was there when Lemmy, Eddie and Animal were ripping up the song book in the early 80s and thought then that this song was one of the real high points of the show but most of their early songs were either great covers or reworks of Lemmy's compositions with the Hawks. Have to admire those mono recordings. How about Train Kept A Rolling by the Yardbirds and the poxy version of Leavin Here by The High Numbers. Everything Louder than everything else -Arrgh!!!
Sound like Glastonbury to me, there are some really nasty mean people there.....
Lots of posers; pseudo 'hippies', 'healers' that are full of empty promises, pseudo 'goddesses' that are really hateful to other Women, who don't claim to be 'above' anyone, the list is unfortunately endless....
Listen to the Rationals version of this song. They were an excellent rock band from Detroit who recorded it in 1966. Song was written by Motown songwriters Holland-Dozier-Holland and recorded by Eddie Holland in 1963. His version is pure Motown.
OH YEEEEEEAHHH!!!! FRIGGEN" MOWTAHEED!!!! One of the best metal albums EVER. Few People realize how important Lemmy is to the sport of ear-killing. Hawkwind....Motorhead....He was even a Hendrix Roadie (as legend says) the guy is the energizer bunny of metal mixed with the friggen' cookie monster. Thanks for posting!

@hudois Eddie Holland's version predates the Birds if you're going to be like that.
