  • wow, so sad :'(

  • to 0:02 to 0:04 remind me of naruto

  • ...Is anyone else thinking of the short piano rendition of "I Am" from Shadow the Hedgehog when they listen to this?

  • When I unlocked this theme near the beginning of the game, I was wondering why it was soo sad but later on,I realised why. This is a beautiful piece.

  • its with me i know it

  • A Minor never sounded so amazing.

  • Sounded pretty freakin' amazing in His World too if you ask me X).

  • Hmm, too true.

  • Comment removed

  • I agreed with you.

  • Oh, my bad I thought you said "not true." XD

  • Hah, it's all good man.

  • At first I thought this was gonna pull a "Never Turn Back." I was just waiting for the sick ass drum intro...X)

  • Too short of a theme....such and awsome theme non the less.

  • i love this theme

  • retrieved them himself/herself.

  • "Why do flowers bloom knowing they are destined to wither?"

LOL I laughed at that part XD

  • sounds like taht naruto sad music

  • LOL true

  • sinse this game made characters play roles, tikal should have been merlina

  • They should bring Tikal back to the franchise, totally.

  • I didn't realize until now that this is a Piano Rendition of "With Me" by All Ends.

I wish this was longer, though this was the best 35-second Theme I've heard in a long time.

  • she's cool but I miss the evilness of erazor v.v

I like erazor and mephiles 'cos they were real villians, the most evil charas in sonic world, merlina was only a sad girl consumed by her sorrow of knowing the end of everything... I feel sorry for her

  • The best villian ever, to me, was is Mephiles. He's absolutely epic!! I really hope the Sonic Team brings him back. :)

  • I agree,Mephiles killed Sonic, something no-one has ever done but Erazor could've killed him too. However,Mephiles is gone forever because of Elise.

  • Oh yeah, that's right. Since ELise blew out the flame, doesn't that mean that Mephiles never even escaped the Scepter of Darkness? But I also agree with EvilLordCanas, Black Doom is an awesome villian, though he looked pretty weird...

  • Mephiles was no doubt completely evil. Erazor was kind of a crossover between Majin Buu and Ganondorf, lol. He was alright, he also tried to convince Shara a few times to change sides. I guess they were a couple once before.

But if you want to be REALLY evil, you have to look out for Black Doom. That guy was the devil himself. He wanted to enslave mankind for the sole purpose of FOOD! How evil is that? One of the reasons I liked him, he also had kickass music for every appearance.

  • ouch, you're right XD but I can not take black doom as the best villian 'cos he did some stupid things that has nonsense for a good villian

did you see the parody of rogerroger?

  • Nope, didn't see it. What's it about? Better send me the link :P

  • Metal Sonic when he went insane was probably one of the better villans.

Not only did he look threatening, but you see how deep his similarities to his namesake go.

He threw EVERYTHING HE HAD at Sonic and friends, much like Sonic does towards serious threats. He rides the wind on his scrap metal wings, something Sonic does on foot. And most of all, he didn't give up through the whole thing, and took massive punishment just to try and beat Sonic, just like said hedgehog does when fighting evil.

  • Agreed. I used ti respect Metal before, just because of his rather threatening appearance (and that the race against him in CD was a b**** the first time around), but in Heroes when his real nature was revealed, I recongized him as a full villain. I'm kind of hoping Sega brings him back as the main villain again.

  • It just stinks that he was in such a bad game, though. Heroes would have been much better without the team play... Which was what made Heroes what it was.

Plus it kind of made Sonic look like a bitch. Let's face it, he had to bring Tails and Knuckles along with him to defeat the Metal Overlord... I would have rather see him take it on without their help.

  • It took nine seperate characters to even phase the Metal Overlord, and that didn't even so much as slow him down. He can preform Chaos Control and effectively drain rings away for twenty seconds, throw entire battleships, and use missiles that make crystaline prisons for whoever they hit, leaving them defenseless.

Sonic would've been beaten in no time flat if he was alone.

  • Sonic, yes.

    Super Sonic? No.

If all else failed, they could have pulled out all the stops and brought back good ol' Hyper Sonic.

But I digress... Tail and Knuckles don't even have regular Super Forms. They need the Super Emeralds just to go Super/Hyper. Their 'Golden' transformations used in this game are just shiny yellow barriers created by Super Sonic. All in all, it was his power that saw them through the majority of the last boss fight. He could have done it on his own, he just didn't.

  • If he got trapped in one of the aforementioned crystal missiles without someone to bust him out, it would be over for him. Only three or four people could hope to reach him, and even then they have a nigh invincible metallic dragon monster to go through to do it.

  • I'll say it again: Hyper Sonic.

More than likely the crystal missiles would likely suppress him for a few moments, just long enough to drain some rings, and then he'd burst free.

  • The crystal missiles are strong enough to hold him indefintely, considering he doesn't break out if caught in game.

And then there's how would they reach the Master Emerald in time to empower the emeralds.

Only about one person is as fast as Sonic, but that doesn't solve the problem of them efficiently getting to Angel Island and back before Metal Overlord has turned Sonic into

  • a blue mark on the ground below.

In other news, I fail at pressing the Post Comment button at the right time.

  • If they had planned on using Hyper Sonic from the beginning, Knuckles likely would have brought the Emerald with him, using the same bit of hammerspace he seemed to randomly have during Adventure and Adventure 2. Also, it's still undetermined whether or not the missiles would hold someone as powerful as Hyper Sonic indefinitely as, quite frankly, he isn't in the game.

Aside from that, everyone seemed to conveniently have the Chaos Emeralds when Eggman brought it up, only because the player

  • Should I also mention that alot of the characters don't seem to really prepared so much as they do flow with what Robotnik throws at them?

The only people who were close to realizing what was going on and preparing ahead of time was Tails and Vector, and neither of them knew Metal not only behind it, but stark raving mad and power hungry.

And I doubt Knuckles would carry around the Master Emerald constantly considering it powers an entire floating landmass.

  • And Espio. Everyone else was kind of oblivious.

And, yeah, that's pretty close to the truth. We all remember what happened in SA...

But, at the same time, you just need to adjust little points in the plot to make it possible for that to happen. Metal Sonic could have attempted to steal the Master Emerald and analyze the data of Chaos Zero, but...

  • He had the Chao to work with.

And the debate wasn't how Sonic going it alone could be put in, it was about how it wouldn't work given the game's current plot and physics.

  • And Froggy, but still... Don't you think he'd get more efficient data from Chaos Zero?

    On the second count...

Thus the serious problem with Heroes, bringing me back to square one of my entire argument: the teamplay mechanic was horrible in Sonic Heroes. It is the sole reason I got tired of it so quickly myself, and the same thing could be said of others.

Once again, the plot's not hard to work around. In fact, I'm shocked that Metal Sonic didn't attempt to steal the Master Emerald.

  • It may have been horrible to you, but I found it atleast an attempt at originality to a cookie cutter plot with a twist ending.

The only thing actually wrong with the gameplay as a whole is the controls feel slippery at times.

  • At TIMES? Apparently, you never tried to complete the majority of the Chaotix missions outside of the game. I am one of those types of gamers that must finish a game after I started it, and that was not fun. That was tedious.

I'll give them some points on plots and the best plot twist in a Sonic game in quite some time. However, that's not what these games are supposed to be about. Sonic is about fast, fun gameplay. Sonic and the Black Knight reminds us of that. Or at least me.

  • I did try it, but I personally only complete missions in games that would tie up loose ends.

The individual plots for each team were bland, with Team Sonic's being the most blatent example of laziness.

In the most blunt nutshell I can think of, and to add atleast abit of a spark to this conversation:

"LOLOLOL I BET YOU CAN'T BEAT ME IN THREE DAYS"

    "I BET YOU WE CAN"

    "K ROFL"

*Two and two-thirds of a day later.*

    "I TOLD YOU WE COULD"

    "FFFFFFFFFF"

  • Amy's team's not much better.

    "Froggy!"

    "Chocola!"

    "Froggy!"

    "Chocola!"

... Who the hell is Chocola? They didn't even introduce him until this game...

Team Dark and Team Chaotix... I actually can't complain about. They had somewhat decent storylines that made some sense.

  • Chocola was that brown Chao you 'saved' at the end of the Team Rose story.

But yeah, I agree with you there. However, I'd like to say Team Chaotix was the only unique Team there, and in my opinion, gave a bit of a layout to the type of missions in Shadow the Hedgehog (like Search&Destroy, Locate, etc.)

  • I know that. I just don't know where the hell he/she/it came into play. o.o It just pops up out of nowhere. We all knew about Cheese and Froggy, but who the f-EFF- is Chocola?

And, yeah, it did. But you'd think they would've put more effort into those missions after having some experience with them before...

  • you gotta admit she was really good at acting all inocent

  • The girl that INTENTIONALLY betrays you...thats one thing i like about this game... HOW SHE INTENTIONALLY DOES IT, NOT FORCED TO!!!

  • Not to mention (apart from Witchcart from Tails Skypatrol) that she's one of the ONLY final bosses that are female. It's something you don't see everyday in the Sonic universe.

And yeah, I like it too that she intentionally betrays Sonic. I love it when video game characters act "innocent" but then become corrupt in the end.

  • yeap ditto :P

  • a piano version of With Me

  • *just finished this game*

Who was anyone doubting this game THINKING? It's a fantastic game, no matter how short or long it may be. Heck, it's one of my favorite Sonic stories by far!

A beautiful song no matter how short.

  • I Agree, the Dark Queen was an awesome final boss, the music in the entire game rocked, the fact that you can play as Shadow, Knuckles and Blaze along with Sonic in story mode is Spectacular, and you got Caliburn, and he TALKS!

It's by far the most epic Sega game ever!

  • I love piano songs... I only wish it was longer.

  • the link doesn't seem to be working to download it though =(

  • Thats's strange, it works for me. I'll put up another link, though.

  • THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING IT! =)
