  • impressive fa jin and gongfu. crisp, explosive movements and all of you have a powerful zhenjiao. very nice.

  • wow, i don't know why but it's so awe inspiring. makes me wish i had enough money to learn a martial art or kung fu

  • Remarkable footage. Thanks again, k, you always post the good stuff.

  • Curtainly studying Southern Praying Mantis. Adding it to my Eagle Claw, Escrima, Boxing, and BJJ. Looks like I found another style to pickup. Just when I thought I was out......they pull me back in.

  • @HandRpuffin Yeah theres a lot more there! I also want to learn it as well but i only have Muay Thai/ Boxing right now :( is it hard to remember every technique?

  • from the "hard strike" style, i'm guessing it's from northern part of china .. CMIIW

  • seriously where is all the grass, does china even have grass?

  • @TopShelfization well one could assume this is a training yard thus making grass a nuiseance and that might be why there aint any =D

  • @azorian2 that may be it lol, i had just watched three separate clips on similar stuff, and no grass, i was like "whoaaaa" :O

  • Akira Yuki is a badass video game character. I love this martial arts style!

  • Performers are :

    1) Yang GuoMing (杨国明) student of Li JunYi, himself student of Wu LianZhi, doing XiaoJia1Lu

    2) Yang Jie (杨杰), student of Wu LianZhi, doing XingPi 1Lu

3)Chang YuGang (常玉刚), student of WU LianZhi, doing xiaoJia 4Lu

    4) Xu RuiCai (徐瑞才) student of Feng JingShan (student of Wu XiuFeng) doing XingPi

    5) Chang YuGang, doing SiLangKuan

    6) Wu HuanCai (吴焕才) & Yang GuoMing doing TieShanKao

    7) unknown guys doing DuiDa

    8) Wu HuanCai & Yang GuoMing doing FuShou

  • Bajiquan?! THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • What are the names of the forms? And who are the masters?

  • HOLY CRAP!!!! i used to have a Tai Chi teacher that teaches about Tai Chi's fighting style and it was all a rip off!!!! the whole fighting style was actuali Bājíquán!!!!!

  • Reminds me of Earthbending.

  • @BoneyDogProductions actually this is wind bending, earth bending is the praying mantis

  • This style has a lot of merits, but the one critique I have with it is that some of the movements appear to be wasteful. This could come back to bite you in the ass later.

  • Is this in or near Hebei village by any chance? (i believe that's where bajiquan is from originally)?

  • finally a kung-fu worthy to fight against... i'd like that one day. a fair and friendly fight against wing chun, drunken, shoalin fist or baji quan against my Kyokushin

  • My fave fighting style <3

  • so beautiful. so fucking deadly.

  • i really want to learn this style. after taking karate for 4 years then suddenly stopping after the dojo was closed i forgot how much i loved it. This art is really nice and i would love to be able to learn it. even the first form would be enough for me

  • "I don't know what it's like to hit a man twice."

  • @EMT22637 Li Shuwen

  • Long & Shen long in bloody roar game is near to Li Shuwen baji quan style

  • Sranje...

  • Akira Yuki by far is the Original and probably the Master of this style in video game history, Learn your facts people :)

  • @LiquidSnack haha totally dude thats awesome

  • @LiquidSnack now its Leo Klisseen from tekken who is the master :O

  • paul pheonix mix judo and baji quan

  • Akira YUKI....

  • I'm so gay for Bajiquan.

    I blame stupid Virtua Fighter.

It's a good thing no one has ever offered to train me, because when I finally completed my training I ...........would be in jail like that afternoon for erasing somebody's face.

Not that violence is the answer or that's what true martial arts are at all about, but c'mon. If you watch enough of the form, it's not hard to picture the unholy ass whomping that would await someone that ran afoul of a master of this art.

  • @acressl it takes years to learn to properly use baji. most say ten years. I began developing a noticable difference in power after about 6 years. By the time you are ready to fight you won't want too. besides, baji training is very hard. if you train every day you will be to tired to fight. actually, just walking down stairs is challenging after playing xiao baji (first form). It is an amazing art and I hope you get a chance to learn it.

  • How many names does this style have?

all I know of a is Baguazhang, Hakkyokuken, and, for what I was told, Jyuken.

  • @megadomonic Hakkyoku-ken is the Japanese name for bajiquan while baguazhang is a different style.

  • @megadomonic baguazhang is the eight tri-grams palms, baji is explode in eight directions fist. it was once called pazi quan, meaning the raking fist.baguazhang is attributed to dong hai chuan.baji is from meng village, cang county.

  • Avatar would had been more amazing if the makers knew about bajiquan and the other Muslim styles.

  • @6arcsn1sky i thot this was part of the wudangquan canon...wouldnt that make it taoist?

  • @ajdp1995 Thing is scholars don't know bajiquan's exact origins, for its first recorded practitioner, Wu Zhong, was a Muslim. Then again, bajiquan could had some links with Taoism since Liu Yun Qiao, another bajiquan practitioner, noticed some sameness with it and taijiquan.

  • @6arcsn1sky well it seems i've been bamboozled

  • @ajdp1995 they absorbed it into their repetoir but a large muslim chinese community pratices it. They just look at chi differently

  • Hey its Kokoro's fighting style aswell! :O

  • Damn, this doubles as a martial art AND some pretty sweet dance moves.

Do this in the club, and you'll bring all the ladies to ya and be able to beat up all the guys trying to hassle you.

  • this guy has mad skill

i would love 2 have him as a teacher

  • very interessting , each attack seem to be a deadly strike

  • @tanissith That's the point of the style--to end the fight as quickly as possible.

  • remove the background music!!! the guy from 3:09 IS a real Baji Master.

  • this vid is 8 minutes long. nice.

  • Why the hell did the guy smack his own privates?!

  • Idiot! Sifu Zhang Long can kick your ass with the same Baji Fist, without a second as a matter of fact. It's useless if you just wear traditional wushu clothes but perform the worst one...Beware!

  • This is a modification of a traditional form which is performed like modern wushu. There's no sense of application in his movements, it's merely "flowery fists and embroidery kicks". No better than folk dance.

  • This is a modification of a traditional form which is performed like modern wushu. There's no sense of application in his movements, it's merely "flowery fists and embroidery kicks". No better than folk dance.

  • holy crap i can hear the sound of their zhenjiao with the wind blowing

  • Dude hit himself in the nuts quite a few times O.O Or atleast thats what it looked like o>O

  • For any future reference . of any martail arts fanatics Let me set things straight 90% of all chinese martial arts founding stories (shaolin wutang bodhidarma ) ARE MYTHS. they are fantasy stories. They do not do the art any honor by embellshing them. any one will to dispute this is delusional and needs to do research in to not only martail history but into chinese cultural history.

  • @kaindrg

Well, that is because there are little record of history being passed down, and there were periods where practising Martial Arts were being prohibited in China. And thus most of these records (scrolls) were either destroyed or kept in fear being prosecuted.

  • @H1234567890 sorry but the truth is there is enuf to build a more honest picture like the silk scroll from the han dynasty of civilians and noble practicing qi gung tendon and oother 18 postures of shaolin but yet at teh time it had no shoalin temple had been built. plus taht begging the question. "if we dont have the answer right now lets stick with the awsome sounding myths." plus the detial version bodhidarma and the other shaolin adventure do not predate 1904 from a wuxia novel

  • @H1234567890 if u look at all long fist before th re inburstment of the shaolin temple by Gov't they were all practiced by hui ethnics and if u look at long fist concepts tai chi would be a long fist. and its is pretty well documented taht teh chen family invented tai chi and not san chen feng who by no means was a martial artest anyways. the long fist practiced in the temple are extracted from the huis

  • @MeuwRadin martial arts have no religious background. shoalin and wutang are myths. u have records of fighting monks predating the shaolin. u have writings of about soft and hard applications from the Warring states period. u have silk paintings from the han tombs of ppl practicing the shaolin postures that predate the temple.

  • This or tai chi?

  • nice muslim chinese martial art

  • Absolutely fantastic! This is true technique. Perfect balance and structure, smooth transitions, very fluid, excellent rooting on each strike/block. The subtitles indicate this is in China, Hebei, Cangzhou. While that is a good city, it is still not as developed as many other areas. This proves that superb martial arts needn't require specialized facilities or expensive equipment. All of us can learn from the practitioners in this video. Xie xie.

  • breaking news about the red guy who passed by the camera after this video he was found in alley with few broken limbs missing teeth and and some few broken ribs the red guy said that he fell from some stairs and the policemen agreed with that as an eyewitness (the policeman supposedly was passing by while the accident occurred)

but we all know the truth dont we they were shitting in their pants not to encounter these guys ever again and accidentally these guys are good friends with chuck Norris

  • kenji got bajiquan right on the dot LOl

  • woah what beautifull moves seems like dancing :D

The first form seems to me like close combat right?

The second somehow too, difficult to see the differences!

About the third I have to think :o Can't rly understand it...

But I rly liked the 4th one!

    Seems interessting to me :)

    Baqi Quan he?

  • before he can do that shit idd already have kod the fucker with 2 punches.....

  • @tattaslayer I'll just skip the mockery at you playing tough guy and go straight to why you're wrong: you see that dancey thing he does? You don't actually believe they do these in real fights, do you?

  • @tattaslayer then you better make sure that you don't miss, because he doesn't need 2 punches to take you out.

  • hey its Leo's fighting style!

  • @Lostdiary12 Leo's, Kokoro's and Akira

  • @Lostdiary12 Funny that you should mention Leo, because it's also the style of Akira Yuki, poster boy of the first 3D fighting game in existence. (Virtua Fighter)

  • @Lostdiary12 and akira's if you've played virtua fighter

  • @Lostdiary12

they even do leo moves, d/f+2+3, ff+2. and even his d+1+2 stance and more

  • @THEk1nslayer her d+1+2 stance

  • @Lostdiary12

I think that is also the style of that blonde kid from Dead or Alive 4.

  • @Lostdiary12 I love you for saying that

  • @Lostdiary12 Paul Pheonix, Also... but his is mixed

  • @wilmarod1 His fighting style is Judo based martial arts.

  • I like MA videos such as these, that don't seem or feel like they're trying to make something look "badass" by doing all these shitty cut/paste edits or silly ass "slowdown" for seeing how fast they moved. Just natural shit on a camcorder.

    Fucking American media.

  • well, I'm not exactly a pro or anything, but it seems to be a style specialized in in-fighting. quickly close the distance and focus on breaking your opponents stance with a series of quick, sharp, short attacks from both high and low. Primarily, sharp kicks aimed at the shin-knee area followed or accompanied by a solid punch to the diaphragm or neck.

from what i can see in the video, it's a strong offensive type, although I'm not sure about it's defensive techniques. Hope this is helpful.

  • @Satsaru

"Baji Quan needs no second strike!"

  • @Bargadiel Li shu wen needed no second strike. that does not mean you'll be able to do it after him.

  • @Bargadiel

    dont speak about it...;)

  • @Bargadiel unless your opponent is me >:D nah jk jk

  • @Satsaru

I think you pretty much summed it up there. =D

But I don't think that's all there is to the style, it never is...

  • This is too awesome. What a beautiful and devastating art. Any body know what part of China this video was recorded in? I am in Xi'an right now and currently looking for a Baji teacher. My last was nearly 1000 miles away in northern China and I'm aching to find a new one.

  • @gromorob i recognized the characters in the beginnin

i dont know how to pronounce it tho.

Just look up Li Shu Wen. Or The God Of Spear.

His baji was recorded as 1 hit kill.

  • @gromorob The video's captions already tell you where this was recorded, Hebei.

  • @gromorob

Another video's description puts this in Meng village, 'the birthplace of bajiquan'.

Not that I actually know where that is but it's apparently there. =D

  • If they taught this in Chinese school the attendance rate would be from 15% to 100% XD

  • Baji Quan is amazing... i learn a little in videos and this, because Spain not have school of this Kung Fu, but i love it

  • Allahuekber :)

    very amazing

    E99 musab

  • Because of the manga Kenji and Leo of Tekken I came to learn of this martial arts. And as shown in the video, it's actually quite powerful. I can sense it just by watching =_="""

Anyone who says that this looks retarded ARE retarded :P

  • @TheEarlOfTheRedLie OMG I came to this vid because of Leo as well *hugs* =D

  • this is the fighting style of leo in tekken 6....

  • I want to see chinese martial arts represented in the sport of mma. Don't tell me kung fu isn't applicable. You can take aspects of any style and make them work.

  • Comment removed

  • @capfudge Can you kick knees using shoes in MMA? Can you use shoes in general in mma? There are aspects of martial arts that you use in fight sports, but martial are are also strategy. In real life, if you take down somebody, you kick his face with shoes, for example, you don't give him time to get up (angry) and break your face. I think that for sports fighting it's better something like thai boxe, because it's more adaptable to a competition with rules.

  • @capfudge You can, however the rules of MMA mean that everything ends up looking the same. If you actually look at the rules, there are so many things that are forbidden that it's a joke. It comes down to whether you want to learn to wrestle in a ring or learn how to actually fight.

  • Baji was the emperor's guard's routine. You don't do it in actual performance, but during practice, you hit your thighs and arms with some of the strikes. It toughens your skin. And they don't hold back when they hit too :P

  • check sifuwu channel for combination of Baji quan and Piguaquan

  • alone it is not complete Baji Quan are created to work with Piguaquan together this martial art are invincible.

  • what this dance?

Ne ho visti tanti come te negli anni.

    ciao!!

    ps: rosika rosika 8P

  • I came here JUST because of Kenji.

  • Baji quan is focused more on explosive attacks. its still a great style that can kick your ass dont intimidate it.!

  • Leo and Akira uses this Style. I never seen this Retarded, Infact this is better than Kyokushin Karate.

  • go Leo from Tekken 6

  • was this in cangzhou ?

  • @Itachi429 Mengcun

  • is this a muslim chinese martial art? checked the wiki and i was just curious.

  • is it just me but..i love traditional kung fu. not all this wushu bull-shite you see all over the web. this is one of the lost arts of shaolin. "ahem" not shaolin wushu. thanks for posting this kmfdm543. its good to educate those who dont understand the real/base elements of kung fu

  • tbh i think the only chinese martial arts form that could give this a beat down (and i'm talking one sided fight) is wing chun.

  • bravo!

  • all i know is that kokoro from doa was a pain to fight using this style hahahaha.

I wanna see someone combine ba ji and pi qua, since theyre sister arts.

  • i don't know if its a form or not but its no different then how a boxer shadow boxes.

anyone who's done some kind of martial arts that knows what shadow boxing/ shadow sparring is would know what im talking about. infact you can almost see a imagenary opponent if you put your self into his possision

  • this is a very intense very powerful art form matter of fact i have this class today

  • @oolas27thanks for mentioning the kenji manga I would never have read it otherwise

  • this looks like the guy just to random thngs and dont know what the do i learn at moment zin kunfu but that looks crappy

  • This music reminds me of the bgm they played during one of the battles in Kung Fu Hustle. More on topic it's interesting to see the martial art that's supposedly touted to pursue taking someone down in one punch.

  • this is one of those things that look retarded until you fight them and they kick your ass

  • @justinssite ; I've been there ..... go my a@@ hang to me sincerely, if you know what i mean.

  • @justinssite lol you just described so many different types of martial arts.

  • @justinssite

It doesn't look retarded, this is the essence of Chinese martial arts....

  • @justinssite dude its said that a master bajiquan user can kill you if you dont believe it then talk to one

  • @justinssite this isn't retarded even myself i used some of the techniques in close quarters and it really helped a lot in block and minimizing the attack radius of an opponent. This style mainly minimizes the opponents power and help you look for defenseless stances of your opponents. You can even counter a throw from this style by using the body checks. It only depends on you either you use it wisely or just memorize the steps accordingly that may confuse you in a serious battle.

  • @justinssite Yet a Kyokushin fighter would kick his ass using simple yet effective techniques. Kung fu is all style but no substance.

  • @TheGoogler77 *sigh* Are you a Kyokushin fighter? No? Okay then.

  • @Urdarbrunn I don't have to be one. There are numerous vids on youtube that showcases the effectiveness of Japanese Karate. Bajiquan, as well as other styles of kung-fu (except Sanda) are worthless.

  • @TheGoogler77 "A critic is like a eunuch in a harem. They have seen it done every day, they can tell you how its done, but they can't do it themselves." - Brendan Behan

Seriously, you're being very ignorant. I'm a kenpo man myself (kenpo has a root in Hung Gar karate), and the speed and ability of many kung fu practitioners is quite impressive. If an actual martial artist feels this way, then a keyboard warrior is invalidated. Have a nice day.

  • @Urdarbrunn Then I guess the world is filled with eunuchs. I have studied TKD and boxing, so I know about full contact fighting. There is flowery showmanship and there is full-contact. Which one are you!?

  • @TheGoogler77 First white belt technique I learned involved a groin shot, an eye gouge, and a throat attack. Pretty no-nonsense stuff.

  • @TheGoogler77 TKD hardly qualifies as full contact fighting.

  • @subaru84 yeah i think bruce lee sad that modern sports martial arts are rehersed however traditional Tkd back in the day involved full contact right? :3

  • @TheGoogler77 stop confusing kung fu with wushu.

  • @subaru84 I am speaking specifically about wushu.

  • @justinssite

dont know man, by the movements he gonna walk and maneuver into a bunch of kicks and punches. Half the work already looks done. lol

  • Can anyone tell me where this video was taken? Is it a school?

  • @dooderlober yes this is b4 the Baji Center opened. See my Baji video about my trip to Mengcun

  • crap this isnt like what ive seen its to ladylike?

    haha

  • I live in san jose in ca where i can learn bajiquan?

  • 1 question, what is kung fu's main target points? I have always been wondering about that? Sorry for the meaningless question, I'm just a curious kendoka :D

  • @jung567 well i practice wing chun and the target points are the centre axis of the human body because almost all vital points are along the central line of the body and also when you hit the center of the body the power of your punch does not dissipate as such if you punch for instance near the shoulder (not necessarily the shoulder but above the heart or around that area if this makes sense). there's many styles of kung fu and many would have different target points.hope this helps a lilttle

  • @drugyguy Thanks man.

  • God, the movement, the exactitude, the timing between moves, the shoulders' position, the speed used for each movement, the strength, the precision... im speechless.

I've practiced Wushu Kungfu for 5 years and Wing tsun right now, and yeah, im speechless, only someone who has practiced it and tried it can know how hard actually is to reach that level of mastery.

  • remind me of the manga Kenji

  • @oolas27 i thought the same thing lmao actualy i looked it up cuz of it

  • @oolas27 Thats because in Kenji the character uses Hakkyokuken which is Baji Quan.

  • @oolas27 Kenji rocks very cool comment! :)

  • @oolas27 the translation is almost finished... final chapter <.<

  • @oolas27 Kenji is a masterpiece...

  • @oolas27

specially the place!! is this changzou?
