that move does work when done right though i have followed with a leaping superman punch sometimes if ive already done the fake, the second delay throws off opponents timing sometimes
hehe well, I think you have to have been thaught that particular faint move to see it. If you don't know about it's hard to see it since the guy is a beginner and isn't doing it right. So I can understand the non believers as well... ;)
Funny thing is that the guy really isn't a beginner, per se. He's been kickboxing for years and years. He's just new to MuayThai. He has less than 1 years MT experience, but has 5 MT fights already. He got to fight for a MT title, but lost due to his falling back into Full Contact habits and not using techniques that score in MT... He's also 40 years old and the toughest sumbitch you'll ever meet! LOL
hah, amazing, would NEVER had guessed it! Well then, I guess this particular move is not for him then. Or perhaps... "it's hard to teach an old dog to sit"? <-- swedish saying. :)
A lot of it has to do with the language barrier, too. He speaks Spanish, I speak English. We both speak a little of the others language, but not much, so its real hard for me to properly explain the technique. He's come along way, though. He's almost gotten rid of the snap in his kicks, and his clinch is getting better all the time!
haha chill you guys, he's not trying to kick the bag. The fake kick is just a setup for the right hand coming just after it. You opponent will think a kick is coming, and instead may eat a right cross... :)
he will break his legs if he kicked someone like that , esp if the other person checks it, that is shithouse technique. No hip movement no pivet, no balamce, NO POWER
...anytihng works believe me. try the 'finger techniue #2' where you randomly put a finger out close to the face of your enemy and he might run into it and you win the fight, anything works even salsa dancing, or simply running or stretching, or waving HI to someone i nthe auduince can suddenly stab your oponent to death
Khunkao is right, that technique does work. It's hard to understand without someone explaining it. The kick is a fake, notice how it is just a second before the punch? WHen your opponent goes to block the kick, the cross will connect. Trust me it works great, especially after you have already connected on several leg kicks and the guy is flinching.
Sorry for the duplicate there was something going wrong when posting. What I also wanted to ad that In my point of view when throwing a (hard) right low kick, your right arm is also going down.
sorry if my previous post sounded a bit disrespectful (I mean my "STOP")
I think that if you've that much expieriance you would know it better than me.
When Im throwing a powerful lowkick It just seems unnatural to throw a jab at the same time.
We do really train this technique and "no", we're not going to stop. I've been fighting and coaching for 15 years, and this technique WORKS! The problem is my fighters execution of the technique. This was the first time he was practicing it and he wasn't doing it right.
For the record, he still doesn't do it right so we're dropping it from his arsenal and leaving it in the bag for our other fighters who CAN execute it.
woah! thats the best kick punch combo i have ever seen. it looks devastating.

If you are really training for that technique "STOP"
there is no power in it at all!! If you would use it during s aprring session they would just take it and step it with a hard straight.
Also with a lot of training this technique would still not work cuz its just inpossible to throw a hard low-kick and a jab at
