Was I the only one avoiding to be harmed or hit enemies during 1:01 till the end with the violin part ? Because when you took damage or if you hit an eney the music fraking changed [violins left etc.]
I loved this game...As compared to Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruins, this game's OST brings me back to the older castlevania's soundtracks... Plus after Portrait of Ruins, I have been waiting for a new castlevania game..and this fits the game Im been waiting for..
@Shavarnarak Yeah. I enjoy playing Portrait of Ruin with my lv 99 file with the Vampire Killer, revisiting all of the exotic paintings, unique castle areas, and nest of evil. It is fun because you can have fun without too much stress about the difficulty. Order of Ecclesia however always has areas, obstacles, and enemies, to almost nullify the advantages if your gear and abilities, so that you are always ripping your hair out, stressed out, and uncomfortable. It is hard to relax in that game be
@alexgodzillafan3328 You're definately overreacting.. I assume you're not talking about hard mode lvl 1 though, because then it's somewhat justified..
@CriticaLKonflict Oh sorry. Now that I maxed out my holy, fire, and slash attributes, the game is easy. I just meant that without maxed out attributes, enemies take too many hits, (which makes you feel underpowered). Yeah, I was exaggerating about the difficulty. My point was that Portrait of Ruin is easier to enjoy because there it is easier to get powerful, less tedious parts, and less poisoning.
Dont laugh...but the starting violin..sorta makes me cry...its..just so...beautiful....i love this mountain song. as Archane would say.."Looks Delicious!" LOL!
Symphony of the Night had the best OST of the series. I have to disagree with you though. I really loved OoE's more relaxed music style. The pieces aren't any less "strong" then they've been.
I really hate how people bash the game's OST for not conveying the same mood as other entries in the series. This game's music is probably the best of all the portable titles. Hell, some tracks even beat the hell out of SotN.

Symphony of the Night, Lament of Innocence, Curse of Darkness, Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, Aria of Sorrow all have much stronger pieces in their soundtracks. Portrait of Ruin was the strongest of the lot in that it had less fillers, very consistent throughout. I liken it to the Final Fantasy VIII of the Castlevania series. OoE is very passive and never really stands out. Still very good, but nothing to write home about.
Most of Portrait's tracks are 'lesser versions' of the 3D games' tracks. Sure Portrait had a great soundtrack, but there isn't anything unique to Castlevania as a whole that Portrait brought to the table.
There's nothing wrong with either Portrait or Ecclesia, but Portrait, really, only gets merit because its tracks, for the most part, sound 'literal'.
Ecclesia has pretty cool music. I do think it's the weakest GAME of the three portable ones though. The other two where much more fun. (Especially Portrait of Ruin.) Not that Ecclesia's a bad game.
