@metal007corebitch Metalcore is more along the lines of Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, It Dies Today, All That Remains(Anything before The Fall of Ideals), and Shadows Fall. Bands like Miss May I, and anything signed to Rise for that matter, sound like utter shit.

These guys are obviously good but being as though ive listened to August Burns Red since Thrill Seeker i can say you cant compare their musical abilities to these guys. Just saying.

@TheCarlyBecerra Nawww. Texas In July have mind blowing guitar riffs. Drummer's a fucking beast. The whole band in general are monsters. Breakdowns are more techinical and well thought out. Songs flow better. They also have some cool acoustic instrumentals that show off the guitarist's skills. Listen to I am yours and May.

@MiltonBurnsRed just so you know i am a texas in july fan, but their acoustic songs do not show off their guitarists' skills. they are tuned so that they don't have to work at it, just make it sound good. it's unfortunate when you sit down to play one and have to change your tuning the the weirdest fucking thing ever because they're not used to that style

@ParkwayAvenu I don't like bands simply because they're less popular, and For Today is rather well-known. TDWP sucks because they have very few melodies that are prominent in good metalcore bands like AILD, and August Burns Red is good, but not in my top 5 only because every album to me sounds the same. You hear one ABR album, you've heard all ABR has to offer IMO.

Elitist is number 1 because they should be more well-known. Their music is talented far beyond anything TDWP has ever written.
