  • great close-up shots!

  • man that harvester sure gets them clean from right out the damp soil. i guess you need to prevent excess weight and saving room in collectors.

  • man these had to be running 25+ tons/ac. They were POURING outta of that boom!

  • @krueg317 Good Guess!

  • is farming like logging ? or do you have a locked buyer ?

  • how often do you have to rotate the crops

  • @Dragonklaw1 The beets are on a 3 - 4 year rotation with soybeans and wheat.

  • Buy a Ropa or Holmer ! ^^

  • they have been tried and don't work in the sticky, gummy soils we have here. the shoes they use don't work very well with this type of ground.

  • who will sign that check then?

  • Comment removed

  • I couldnt stop laughing I dont know why

  • Where is this in the valley?

  • It's in the crookston factory district

  • Fuck i wish we had a WIC

  • is a sugar beet just like sugar cane? and if not whats the diffrence besides the beet being under ground

  • @snickernute24 sugar beets are starchier but just as sweet. I have tasted both sugar beets have consistency almost like a potatoe

  • would i be able to eat a raw sugar beat or would it make me sick?

  • you can eat sugar beets right out of the field, i've done it and it doesn't do anything to you. and i raise beets every year

  • you can eat them, its almost like candy to me

  • Very interesting!

  • cool! ^^

  • wow brings me bac when i use to eide in those trucks lol

fall asleep at 12 at nite in the truck

  • i helped out a farm in GF and they had a 12 row wic. load a semi with a 34 foot trailor in less then 3 minutes

  • im haulin those beets in those ugly green transystem trucks!!! from the pile to the factory

  • transystem trucks are pussy trucks thay have smart shift. not even real trucks if you ask me. i drove for them in east grand forks and quit after two week's but thank's for the free C.D.L

  • ya i agree w/u i hate em too. i rather have a 13sp manual then the smart shift. and the MBE 4000 motors in em are just a big job! they have no luggin power at all. wish they had the C12 cats in em. and i hate the freightliners the only truck that freightliner made that was a good truck was there cabovers. but ya i dont mind workin for the company i still think the pay by load is bullshit though but its somethin for winter time when im not out firefighting

  • Wolfspitzer, how in the hell does that thing pull the beets out of the ground?

    Yalpa

  • Look closely at :45. The struts are tapered to give the wheels a pinch point, they are 17" near the top and 1.9" near the bottom \/. The area at ground contact (wheel spacing) front to back is about 6"to 2"/\ this can vary somewhat depending on digging depth. The wheels break up the ground and lifts the beets out, they don't really touch.

  • Great video Sweet Bertha ran off with a Sugar Beet Farmer the 11th day of our Marriage

  • I want a wic digger so bad

  • I believe thats a rotobeeter.

  • It is a beet lifter. The rotobeater is not pictured, it just removes the leaves.

  • I have never seen a harvest,it is interesting

    Educational videos are always welcome.

    Thanks
