100% agree. Jerry had his chance and he turned it down. He wanted to do a big one-off stadium gig and the others wanted to do a tour of mid-sized venues. It would have been great to have him there, but his loss is everyone's gain.
there is no 2 ways about it, this was the best gig in the histroy of the world, i have been listening to the specials since i was about 6 and never thought i would see them, i have never ever been happier in my life than on that night, i started crying about 3 songs in coz i literally couldnt take it all in
we took our 2 sons. best education they could get. never forget that night. everyone in the same frame of mind, loads of hugging. Im a 43 year old mum and didnt mind any of the bruising and must admit to a lump in my throat at the end. Rude boys forever!!!!!
I think you will find you are in a bit of a minority there You did not go to the gigs then? He was not missed one single bit.
