Morality? At its base, it's the golden rule- do onto others as you'd have them do onto you. It's an obligation arising from living in a social system. It's as much empathy as it is a reasonable assessment of the outcomes of your actions. It is social in nature, and is learned from examples (by kids).

So Jesus must have meant he is like his Father as the scriptures reveal an exact representation of him. Thus any dealings with Jesus is as though dealing with God. Since man cannot literally see God Jesus was sent to learn who God is through Jesus. That is much different than saying he IS God. He never said it.

It was the arrangement of God who made all this happen ultimately His Father gets all the credit. For if he did not send Jesus to earth, resurrect him and accept the price paid for the sacrifice none of this would mean anything. Thus underscoring where worship should be directed not to Jesus for he was merely doing God's Will. Thus God deserves the worship not Jesus.

Morality, at its base is the golden rule. Do unto others. We learn morality, just like everybody else, from our environment. There is a degree of empathy involved, as well as a degree of calculation (will someone new treat me well if I treat them well).
The theory of evolution says nothing about racism.

Morality? At its base, it's the golden rule- do onto others as you'd have them do onto you. It's an obligation arising from living in a social system. It's as much empathy as it is a reasonable assessment of the outcomes of your actions. It is social in nature, and is learned from examples (by kids).

Think about it...we as humans dont have all the answers to some of life's biggest questions, so inevitably we have to place our faith in something right. Whether its Creation or evolution both requires faith. Some decide to place their faith in Scientists and I decide Jesus.

@BarrysBit Science is opposed to "complete trust or confidence" in it's self. Science revolves around skepticism, challenging and questioning ideas. Science is the opposite of faith. Belief in god requires faith, as there is not measurable way to prove he exists. Jesus may have existed, but he was not the son of god.

@psk6565 If food and water could talk it would be a strange world to live in. Anyway it just so happens that you do need food and water to survive and I like to live so I tend to be fond of it. If I disliked food and water then I'd be in trouble.
This God character is very silly and is a projection of human inadequacy. Not liking a thing is no reason not to believe in it. I dislike pain but i believe in it. I have other reasons not to believe in god. Still, I see nothing here worthy of respect

As people become more civilized they project their interests on to their gods. People start to appreciate love more than war than they have a "god" of love. People appreciate power and status than they have a "god" of war.

@Aprilshowersss First, b/c I am His creature. My ability to assess His attributes comes from Him. He is not telling you His awesomeness for the sake of simply being in awe of Him, but that you would trust in Him, rely upon Him, love Him etc. If your father told you he was a 10th degree black belt, has defended the lives of hundreds of people, etc. would you not be amazed but also trusting of him to help you if anyone attacked you or would you be disqusted of him?

There are assumptions that must be made to exist as a sentient being but I am always open to changing my ideas if something comes along that seems to be closer to truth. I am a humanist, scientific thinker, and a humble animal on this very rare and beautiful and insignificant world. Life is short and my one chance to experience anything. It must be appreciated at any chance and however I see fit. The only rule is to not harm others if it can be avoided.
