Try meditating for 10 months non-stopping...just to get like 10,000 dollars.Impossible.

@zilph82 you are absolutly right average ppl cannot meditate longer then 30 min. and its a big doubt if this is really meditation or catching his presence from floating away with thoughts ( th ats no meditation , patanjali has a special description of what is meditation ) if someone manages to stay in a meditation assana for 11 months then no doubt there is something very special

I mean, i've been thoughtless for hours, just, laying in the forest, watching the life around me. i don't think this is typical "meditation" but, i think the result is the same. :)
@Swansen03 if you feel good with it it is o.k. but meditation is something different , (i am a ha tha yoga teacher since 1996 and have started with the ha tha ( kundalini ) yoga with 16 , today i am 39 , i think i have a little bit experience and knowledge about the terms and the definitions about meditation, if you want to know what is meant with meditation i suggest you to read the yoga sutra of patanjali you can find them online , patanjali has lived 10.000 years ago cogito ergo no copyright
@Swansen03 today everybody thinks he is doing meditaton but from the yoga point of view this is only dreaming,has nothing to do with pratyahara , dharana and then dhyana ( meditation ) from dhyana arises the first step of samadhi , there are different samadhi steps nirvikalpa smadhi samkalpa smadhi and so on until the last step , to be able (be adhikari ) to meditate you have to learn dharana , dharana arises from tapas , asana, pranayama , there are also other arms of yoga , called ashtaanga
@Swansen03 pratyahara means to turn the antisicpation towards inside and watch to flow of breath , first step to pranayama , dharana means konzentration ( we konzentrate on the breath ) , pranayama means the regulation of the prana energy also called chi , states of consciousness like you have described happens daily many times only that the peole are not conscious about it , asana enables yo to sit a hour or three in the padmaasana or sidhaasana or vajraasana

what you are doing and real meditation is something totally different , you are looking to your samscaras which come up if you start wacthing your inside , and when the thoeughts get less and less and you come to a stage of emptiness which is also the absolute fullness , then you know you have gained the first step but as long as you identify with your body and the things which happen to you . another way is bhakti yoga in which you do mantra jappa which means to repeat the names of god
@GonG108 i know what i am, and what i am not, and i'm still learning. I also know how to move through life without memory and recall, how to live with just intuition, with myself as my guide. Honestly, i'm not saying you are wrong, or you're method, but, i think we are all already dreaming, this is one large collective dream. everything is scalar, we are no different than our cells in our body, they dream and have physical function, just like we do, and up to planets etc.
@GonG108 i learn about life through the language of life, through the spirit which communicates to us all. yes, at birth our connection to that which animates us all was taken from us, by a disconnected consciousness. that which is named "satan" typically. meditation is just like i said, one of many methods to connection to the spirit, to yourself, to everything. life speaks to me, you just have to understand the language of life.

However, my understanding comes from life, i am a student of that which animates us all, and learn every day. Intuition is just pure connect to our higher self, to everything. I do not let life effect me, if a loved one were to die i would not be depressed, if a girlfriend leaves me, i will not change my being, if i win the lottery i will not become sadistic.

i agree. "the fool hath said in his heart there is no God". Atheism can barley be considered a religoin to me because it has done nothing to further ther human rasce, nor has it advanced the lives of its victims. Spirit is a concept most people like to toy with, and many claim to understand, yet fail when put to the test. those who are true know they have already won and feel no need to prove their beliefs to themselves.
Exactly :), well i think Buddha was a naturally gifted philosopher, and jesus differers from religion to religion. jews consider him a fraud, christians consider him god and muslims consider him a prophet. Budhism is beautiful in the sense that it can be incorporated into every religion, if they do, they will see the spiritual side of religion, which can only be a good thing. Budhism maybe what all religions need. :)

i believe in reality that one cannot accept a portion of the bible and not its entirety. it is good to understand the spirit, but we must also learn of its creator. "christianity" is a foolish label. Jesus came and proved himself throguh prophesy and miriacle. he then gave up his life as payment to our creator for the bad things we have done, which we cannot repay ourselves. accepting the forgivness of Jesus doesnt make anyone a christian, it makes then humble and wise.
Thats one take on it, i dont want to get into christianity, but many dont believe he died for our sins i.e. the muslims, and i personally take their stance on it, which is that he came to tell us about our creator so that we become better people, but we account for our own sins. But again its just a belief, cant prove it :)

Buddhists aren't awaiting anything. The teachings of Shakyamuni say that when the Dharma is no longer in the world, but has devolved into mere superstition and the meaning has been lost, Maitreya will come and bring the Teachings back, just as Shakyamuni brought them back in his time. Basically, Buddhas come around when they're needed, and Maitreya isn't needed yet, so why wait for something that isn't necessary?

Perhaps he is just a disturbed kid, with an narcistic personality disorder. psychology today says that people who want not ego are similar as people with big ego. They pay the same attention to their ego's. Further more is a situatie of no ego awareness not possible. That's what I have learn. One needs an ego to meditate egoless. I think people with super ego cannot over rule their feelings etc. there be always an non-ego stop in their life, etc.

Is it true that Palden Dorje and his associates battered and held 17 local villagers against their will? I am not a buddhist, but I am not sure if what he did was buddha like. Unless the villagers threatened his life, then I would agree that self-defense was the case, however, it did not seem to be the case.

Try meditating for 10 months non-stopping...just to get like 10,000 dollars.Impossible.
If he wanted money, he would have get a manager and would have created a really huge ashram and travel around usa and europe. Don't consider everything as a scam because ignorance

@Swansen03 today everybody thinks he is doing meditaton but from the yoga point of view this is only dreaming,has nothing to do with pratyahara , dharana and then dhyana ( meditation ) from dhyana arises the first step of samadhi , there are different samadhi steps nirvikalpa smadhi samkalpa smadhi and so on until the last step , to be able (be adhikari ) to meditate you have to learn dharana , dharana arises from tapas , asana, pranayama , there are also other arms of yoga , called ashtaanga

@Swansen03 pratyahara means to turn the antisicpation towards inside and watch to flow of breath , first step to pranayama , dharana means konzentration ( we konzentrate on the breath ) , pranayama means the regulation of the prana energy also called chi , states of consciousness like you have described happens daily many times only that the peole are not conscious about it , asana enables yo to sit a hour or three in the padmaasana or sidhaasana or vajraasana

what you are doing and real meditation is something totally different , you are looking to your samscaras which come up if you start wacthing your inside , and when the thoeughts get less and less and you come to a stage of emptiness which is also the absolute fullness , then you know you have gained the first step but as long as you identify with your body and the things which happen to you . another way is bhakti yoga in which you do mantra jappa which means to repeat the names of god

Honestly, i'm not saying you are wrong, or you're method, but, i think we are all already dreaming, this is one large collective dream. everything is scalar, we are no different than our cells in our body, they dream and have physical function, just like we do, and up to planets etc.

However, my understanding comes from life, i am a student of that which animates us all, and learn every day. Intuition is just pure connect to our higher self, to everything. I do not let life effect me, if a loved one were to die i would not be depressed, if a girlfriend leaves me, i will not change my being, if i win the lottery i will not become sadistic.

i agree. "the fool hath said in his heart there is no God". Atheism can barley be considered a religoin to me because it has done nothing to further ther human rasce, nor has it advanced the lives of its victims. Spirit is a concept most people like to toy with, and many claim to understand, yet fail when put to the test. those who are true know they have already won and feel no need to prove their beliefs to themselves.

Exactly :), well i think Buddha was a naturally gifted philosopher, and jesus differers from religion to religion. jews consider him a fraud, christians consider him god and muslims consider him a prophet. Budhism is beautiful in the sense that it can be incorporated into every religion, if they do, they will see the spiritual side of religion, which can only be a good thing. Budhism maybe what all religions need. :)

i believe in reality that one cannot accept a portion of the bible and not its entirety. it is good to understand the spirit, but we must also learn of its creator. "christianity" is a foolish label. Jesus came and proved himself throguh prophesy and miriacle. he then gave up his life as payment to our creator for the bad things we have done, which we cannot repay ourselves. accepting the forgivness of Jesus doesnt make anyone a christian, it makes then humble and wise.

Thats one take on it, i dont want to get into christianity, but many dont believe he died for our sins i.e. the muslims, and i personally take their stance on it, which is that he came to tell us about our creator so that we become better people, but we account for our own sins. But again its just a belief, cant prove it :)

you can account for your own sins? how dare you. do you not know that there is a creator who has spoken? muslims are fools because they have rejected the entire purpose of human existance. there is little good in the koran, it was written by satan himself. satan is the father of lies. why woudnt it be attributed to the archangel who mohammed (no peace be upon him) claims told to him. no one can believe in islam because it is not true. if you need proof, you have laready failed.

Buddhists aren't awaiting anything. The teachings of Shakyamuni say that when the Dharma is no longer in the world, but has devolved into mere superstition and the meaning has been lost, Maitreya will come and bring the Teachings back, just as Shakyamuni brought them back in his time. Basically, Buddhas come around when they're needed, and Maitreya isn't needed yet, so why wait for something that isn't necessary?

where do you think buddha learned it all? ;) Jesus was the God of the old testament who created everything. most fail to grasp this concept due to a foolish thing called religion. religions are views, and as buddhists say: all views are wrong views.

u say this because ur born as a chiristian .now just imagine if u where born in another religion u wud hav said som verses frm those texts.All holy books are written by humans.They can either be true or false.all i say is dont simply blindly blv somthing just because its written somwhr.dont be confined with ur own idea and blvin it to be true.open up ur self to all religions.The real truth is wot is common in all religions.

Perhaps he is just a disturbed kid, with an narcistic personality disorder. psychology today says that people who want not ego are similar as people with big ego. They pay the same attention to their ego's. Further more is a situatie of no ego awareness not possible. That's what I have learn. One needs an ego to meditate egoless. I think people with super ego cannot over rule their feelings etc. there be always an non-ego stop in their life, etc.

vegeary ur not buddha...ur following the native americans they do the same as buddhism but its diffrent from going to the natures of rivers looking for calmness but i dont about natives in america long time ago...but something is in meditation as hindu and buddhist pratice it very diffrent...from the native americans has,,,but i believe the native americans long time ago achieved enlightment

okay so he went all that time meditating and stuff....now what? I find is extremely interesting and amazing that it's happening right now. you usually hear of this stuff from waaaaay back in buddha time. i mean i think all this publicity will eventually ruin something that could have happened.

I think it is a mistake to make this kind of statement unless you are attesting to some kind of attainment where you can directly preceive the nature of existence this is actually an excuse to give up effort. if we are buddha then why must I strive but if I have liberated myself from the bonds of karma and yet have no concern for my deeds then where will my karma take me?

I talked to my Lama recently and he said that what this guy is doing is what yogis have always done. He is doing the same practices as the Rinpoches, so I don't think that he should be worshiped or anything.

"3 months siting wichout moving" I believe he has a tube stick in his butt, and some fluid is geting in that gives him energy and water.
Before flaming me I let you know that the rectum absorb water and nutrients from stools.
Body can live longer wichout food but with no water you die in a week.
So a tube is more posible answer than thinking hes buddha.
